    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Menengah Atas: Wawasan Kepala Sekolah dan Guru

    Abstract: This research aims to analyze the implementation of the independent learning curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI, as well as the obstacles to the independent curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI. This research uses data collection methods using interviews, observations and documents. This research uses qualitative analysis techniques which focus on describing events and occurrences that have occurred at the time the research was conducted. The results of this research show that implementing the independent curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI starts from grade 10. This is due to a lack of mastery of the material, as well as a lack of clarity in the implementation guidelines. Then the independent curriculum program was not achieved optimally due to inadequate facilities. Because of this, there are still many teachers who are still confused about the implementation of the independent curriculum, so the principal has implemented a policy that the implementation of the curriculum at SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI is only grade 10. The learning method used by teachers in implementing the independent curriculum is different from the K13 curriculum learning method. With an independent curriculum, teachers use jigsaw learning methods and individual methods, where this learning method adapts to the character and interests of each studentKeywords: Implementation, independent curriculum, insight Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di sekolah SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI, serta hambatan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observaso dan dokumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode teknik analisi kualitatif yang berfokus pada mendeskrifsikan suatu peristiwa dan kejadian yang telah terjadi pada saat penelitian dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka di sekolah SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI di mulai dari kelas 10. Dikarenakan kurangnya penguasaan materi, serta kurangnya kejelasan dalam pedoman pelaksanaannya.  Program kurikulum merdeka tidak tercapai dengan maxsimal dikarenakan sarana yang belum memadai. Karena itu, masih banyak guru yang masih bingung dengan penerapan kurikulum merdeka, sehingga kepala sekolah melakukan kebijakan bahwa penerapan kurikulum di sekolah SMA PAB 4 SAMPALI hanya kelas 10. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka berbeda dengan metode pembelajaran kurikulum K13. Dengan kurikulum merdeka guru menggunakan metode pembelajaran jigsaw dan metode individu yang dimana metode pembelajaran ini menyesuaikan dengan karakter dan minat setiap peserta didik.Kata kunci: Implementasi, kurikulum merdeka, wawasa

    Leadership of School Principals in Improving The Quality of Teacher Learning

    School principals play a crucial role in improving the quality of teacher instruction and overall educational outcomes. In the context of rapidly evolving educational demands, principals are expected to manage administrative tasks and act as instructional leaders. This study aims to explore the role of principal leadership in enhancing the quality of teacher instruction at Madrasah Nurul Hakim. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that the principal implements a participatory leadership style that supports continuous supervision, encourages professional development, and fosters teacher involvement in decision-making processes. The principal effectively enhances teacher competence and instructional performance through regular classroom monitoring, academic supervision, and informal reflective discussions. The impact of such leadership extends to students, who demonstrate increased engagement, discipline, and enthusiasm for learning. It is concluded that effective principal leadership significantly contributes to improving teacher professionalism, positively affecting the quality of learning in school

    Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari kepemimpinan merupakan suatu yang sangat berperan penting untuk mencapai segala sesuatu yang diinginkan dalam suatu organisasi. Terkhusus dalam dunia pendidikan Islam sangat penting adanya kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam itu sendiri. Pendidikan Islam yang merupakan sebuah proses dalam membentuk manusia- manusia muslim yang mampu mengembangkan potensi yang dimilikinya untuk mewujudkan dan merealisasikan tugas dan fungsinya sebagai khalifah Allah Swt, baik kepada Tuhannya, sesama manusia dan sesama makhluk lainnya. Sehingga perlunya sosok pemimpin yang memiliki kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam yang menjalankan tugas kepemimpinan dengan sebaik-baiknya sehingga nantinya akan mampu mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan Islam yaitu menciptakan manusia muslim yang bersyahadah kepada Allah Swt. Kepemimpinan pendidikan Islam di sekolah di pegang oleh kepala sekolah. Kepala sekolah memiliki berbagai peran yang harus dijalankan yaitu sebagai educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, leader, inovator, dan motivator. Tugas seorang pemimpin pendidikan Islam adalah menggerakkan dan mengarahkan, menuntun, memberi motivasi serta mendorong orang yang dipimpin untuk berbuat sesuatu dalam hal ini yang mengacu pada Al-Qur’an dan Hadis sehingga mampu mencapai pada tujuan pendidikan Islam itu sendiri
