    No full text
The research objective is to examine whether non-monetary which include the recognition, job enrichment and promotion opportunities have a positive relationship on employee performance. The target respondent is staffed who are working at Melaka International College of Science and Technology (MICOST). The quantitative research approach was adopted using five points Likert scale questionnaire and the data collection managed to achieve a percentage of 100 per cent which is 103 questionnaires returned which were derived from a total of 103 questionnaires. The collected data are being analysed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS)software. This research engaged convenience sampling technique. Descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression will be used to analyse the collected data. The result shows that promotion opportunities have a positive and significant relationship with employee performance. Future researchers are recommended to an approached different type of respondent and test on different independent variables

Optimization of culture conditions for biohydrogen production from sago wastewater by enterobacter aerogenes using response surface methodology

Sago wastewater (SWW) causes pollution to the environment due to its high organic content. Annually, about 2.5 million tons of SWW is produced in Malaysia. In this study, the potential of SWW as a substrate for biohydrogen production by Enterobacter aerogenes (E. aerogenes) was evaluated. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was employed to find the optimum conditions. From preliminary optimization, it was found that the most significant factors were yeast extract, temperature, and inoculum size. According to Face Centered Central Composite Design (FCCCD), the maximum hydrogen concentration and yield were 630.67 μmol/L and 7.42 mmol H2/mol glucose, respectively, which is obtained from the sample supplemented with 4.8 g/L yeast extract concentration, 5% inoculum, and incubated at the temperature of 31 °C. Cumulative hydrogen production curve fitted by the modified Gompertz equation suggested that Hmax, Rmax, and λ from this study were 15.10 mL, 2.18 mL/h, and 9.84 h, respectively

The Impact of User – Generated Content (UGC) on Product Reviews towards Online Purchasing – A Conceptual Framework

AbstractSocial media is a virtual community that links people around the globe through many websites such as Friendster, MySpace, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. In 2010, Instagram was introduced as a new addition to this social media family. Since then, many online retailers have started to conduct their businesses on Instagram as they see this new social media as a friendlier channel and easier to monitor compared to Facebook and Blogs. Many buyers would also prefer to purchase from Instagram as well due to less cluttered page, straightforward interface and easier to read feedbacks from other buyers. Feedbacks or also known as User – Generated Content (UGC) happens when previous buyers share their experiences online, which allows others including the potential buyers to read. Based on an extensive literature review, this paper proposes a framework to investigate the influence of UGC on consumer's online product purchase intention. Findings from this study are expected to extend the literature on UGC and give benefits to marketers and online business operators

At this time, every road damage the community can contribute to providing reports related to road damage, but reports must go through other parties before arriving. to the relevant agencies, then on the other hand repairs to road damage have a priority scale, based on the provisions that have been made based on the provisions that have been set, but the calculation of road repair priorities at this time is still manual, calculations with this manual take a long time, so it can be concluded that a system is needed that is able to become a media for reporting road damage, which connects the community and other agencies. also a system that is able to calculate the priority value of road damage. In this study, the methodology used by the author is a prototype, using Codeigniter framework, and MYSQL as the DBMS,and the AHP algorithm as a priority scale calculation, resulting in a website as a frontend administrator as well as AHP calculations for service priorities, as well as a mobile-based application using android operating system as media for reporting road damages and potholes. The results of the testing carried out on both applications using the blackbox method concluded that the application on the administrator's side can run well, in accordance with the existing functions, this also applies to the mobile application on the user side (reporter)

HIGHLIGHTS ON INFORMATION, SECONDARY STROKE PREVENTION AND HOLISTIC CARE IN EXISTING CARE POST-TIA: A SCOPING REVIEW

Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), a medical emergency defined as a transient episode of neurologic dysfunction due to the focal brain, spinal cord or retinal ischemia, without acute infarction or tissue injury. Epidemiological evidences suggested that there is residual problems post-TIA, specifically in the domains of cognitive, physical, emotional, psychological, social and quality of life (QoL). Granting all this, studies addressing post-TIA care specifically in the context of residual impairments are still scarce. TIA patients’ needs were summarized by Turner et al. in 2019, encompassing three aspects: 1) Information; 2) Stroke prevention; and 3) Holistic (residual impairments and patient’s lives). Therefore, this scoping review will go through the reported care programs with the aim to identify if there are any existing practices or treatments done to address the patients’ needs. Ideally, the insights of this scoping review will be used to inform the development of a multi-component post-TIA care module for TIA patients. This review will be utilizing the 5-step framework by Arksey & Malley 2005, and databases searched covers Scopus, PubMed, Cochrane Library and EBSCOhost using keywords related to Tia and care. Eligibility criteria used will be based on the result of mutual agreements between the reviewers. Whereas, search terms used are refined through initial searches in PubMed, EBSCOhost, Cochrane Library and Scopus. Keywords in the titles and abstracts of relevant articles were noted, MeSH terms were reviewed and ongoing changes were made to the search strategy until the final terms to be used in the search strategy was deemed to be sufficient. The search results from all four databases will be downloaded and imported into EndNote 21.0 for further screening. A PRISMA flow diagram will be used to clearly report the flow and process from initial data searching to final articles for inclusion in the scoping review. Relevant data will be extracted from each article, including author; year of publication; research design; population; sample size; interventions used and related details; key findings; and limitations. The extracted data will be categorized by the reviewers according to the types of needs and tabulated into a summary chart in Microsoft Word. Data will be extracted and described using simple counts of different concepts such as dimension of needs, delivery model, population characteristics and outcomes. Details of the intervention involved will be described according to the types, phrases and dosage. Basic coding of data will be conducted forming themes where grouping is appropriate. Gaps in the literature will also be noted
