Wireless distance charger / Izzuddin Sapiai & Amira Nur Syahidah Abdul Halim
Nowadays, we live in a world where power is transmitted to our homes and electrical outlets using AC, then converted into DC for use in most of our electronic devices. Most of our smartphones and tablets are charged through micro-USB cables that are either connected to computers or to "wall-warts" which convert the electricity from AC to DC for us. It was not always that way. Not that long ago, it seemed like every manufacturer had a different connector to get the direct current into our devices. However, some tablets are still suffering from this illness, but we would not point any fingers to the culprits. Now we are looking at what could be the widespread adoption of "wireless charges" as a standard. Some of us think wireless charging will become commonplace and could end up inside speaker and other docks to recharge our devices while listening to music or watching movies. It will probably even end up in our cars. The wireless distance charger is committed to standardizing technology so that operation will be always possible. Yet, to ensure a wide and receptive market for wireless power transmission, this wireless distance charger is also focused on building a user oriented wireless charging experience. So, everyone will be able to charge anywher

Testing on weak-form of efficient market hypothesis of FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur composite index (FBMKLCI) share index / Nur Syahidah Ishak
The market efficiency used to clarify the relationship between the information and stock prices. If the market price of any stocks reflected correctly and completely all relevant information, the market is still considered efficient. The financial market must be efficient so that it can take its role in terms of attracting investment, the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH) developed firstly by Paul Sammuelson in 1965 and Fama in 1970. The aims of this paper focus on to examine at the weak-form of the EMH. The weak form show that current stock market prices are fully reflects all stock market information including historical price. The problem is whether the price of FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBMKLCI) Stock Index in Malaysia Stock Market is efficient in the weak form of Efficient Market Hypothesis? The main objective of this study is to justify weak-form of market efficiency of FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBMKLCI) Stock Index in Malaysia Stock Market. Furthermore, the study is conducted to study whether the indexes follow the Random Walk hypothesis or not. The variable in this study is the stock market index of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBMKLIC) Stock Index in Malaysia Stock Market. The samples in this study include daily, weekly and monthly closing price of the index. The analysis is observed in the range of 5 year in daily, weekly and monthly observation start from January 2012 to December 2016 with total number of 1300 observations for daily sample, 260 observations for weekly sample and 60 observations for monthly sample. The statistical test applied in this study is Descriptive Statistic, Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) Unit Root Test, Philips-Perron (PP) Unit Root Test, Autocorrelation Test and Runs Test
Analyses of soil chemical properties on mineral soil and peat soil toward growth performance of pineapple (MD2) / Nur Syahidah Abdul Jalil
There are confusing facts that the mineral soil is high in nutrient compared to the peat soil but most of pineapple in Malaysia were cultivated on the peat soil. Thus, a set of experiment was conducted to evaluate the relationship of chemical properties on mineral soil and peat soil toward growth performance of pineapple and to compare the early growth performance of MD2 pineapple that were cultivated on mineral soil and peat soil. The chemical properties such as soil pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), soil salinity and nutrient contents which are phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) from both soil were analyzed. The growth performance (plant height, leaf length, leaf number and leaf width) of pineapple cultivated on different type of soil also were measured. Results showed peat soil significantly (p = 0.00) more acidic (3.49) compared to mineral soil (5.38). The pH of soil was influenced cation exchange capacity (CEC) of the soil which the CEC of mineral and peat soil was 18.85 cmolckg -1 and 2.82 cmolckg-1 respectively. Salinity of both soil indicate it was suitable for pineapple growth which between 1-2 dS/m. Mineral soil content high nutrient compared to peat soil especially for Ca (626.81 mg/L) and Mg (45.55 mg/L) content which contribute to high pH. While peat soil significantly high in P and K content compared to mineral soil. However, the growth performance of pineapple cultivated on both type of soil shows no significant difference (p≥0.05) except for leaf width. Furthermore, there were no relationship between chemical properties of soil toward growth performance of pineapple
A review on the portrayal of Generational Endgame (GEG) through digital media narratives and its impact towards the public health sector in Malaysia / Nur Syahidah Samsuddin
In Malaysia, smoking is predominantly a male problem with approximately two out of every five men are smokers and more than 27,200 smoking-related deaths are reported annually. Tobacco consumption will lead to the cause of cancer such as lung cancer and mouth cancer, and it contributes to 22% of cancer deaths. Nevertheless, the coverage of this campaign in the media, particularly digital media, is very low and most people are not aware of the real purpose of Generational Endgame. Thus, the aim of this study is to explore the digital media narratives on Generational Endgame policy and its impact towards the public health sector in Malaysia. This study employed a qualitative method, by reviewing 15 journal articles related to the Generational Endgame and media that have been selected through Google Scholar from 2019 onwards. The research findings suggest that Generational Endgame in Malaysia received less coverage from media and there is a limitation of information regarding the good side of being tobacco-free towards individuals and country. Digital media is not just a bystander, but it is an active platform in disseminating the information of public health. In making the policy come true, all parties including the media must contribute by educating, disseminating information, and explaining the outcomes of the Generational Endgame. It is to ensure the understanding of the policy among all individuals, especially the young generation in Malaysia
A statistical test for the stability of covariance structure
The stability of covariance matrix is a major issue in multivariate analysis. As can be seen in the literature, the most popular and widely used tests are Box M-test and Jennrich J-test introduced by Box in 1949 and Jennrich in 1970, respectively. These tests involve determinant of sample covariance matrix as multivariate dispersion measure. Since it is only a scalar representation of a complex structure, it cannot represent the whole structure. On the other hand, they are quite cumbersome to compute when the data sets are of high dimension since they do not only involve the computation of determinant of covariance matrix but also the inversion of a matrix. This motivates us to propose a new statistical test which is computationally more efficient and, if it is used simultaneously with M-test or J-test, we will have a better understanding about the stability of covariance structure. An example will be presented to illustrate its advantage
