The article demonstrates that reality and fiction are part of a unique strategy of social construction of Consensus and Legitimacy.L'articolo si concentra sulla costruzione narrativa del fenomeno mafioso a partire dai primi anni del'Unità d'Italia e sul nesso tra tradizione spagnola delle sette e sue traduzioni italiane. L'autore ripercorre, con esempi inediti, il nesso tra rappresentazione dei miti mafiosi - tra questi quello della setta dei Beati Paoli - e il modificarsi del fenomeno mafioso e delle sue manifestazioni, fino al mito moderno dell'onore in "Cosa Nostra" e alle forme di consenso e legittimazione ad esso connesse.

A web-based knowledge hub for special and inclusive education
No full textThe need of a common environment where to share information and knowledge is of particular interest in the field of special education not only to support the access to a large amount of available information (along with the ability to derive value from this information) but also to foster synergistic actions involving different special education operators. In this paper we present the results of a research aimed at defining a Web-based environment for special education providing, to operators of the field, personalized information and digital assets covering both their expressed and latent information needs. Offered personalization features are based on the definition and the implementation of a hybrid recommender system based on a mix of cognitive and collaborative approaches, the first based on the similarities among digital objects, the latter leveraging on similarities among user profiles. By combining these two approaches the system is able to provide meaningful but not obvious recommendations with a fair level of serendipity. The encouraging results of an experimentation with real users are also reported

No full textForeign visitors to Naples in the 18th Century gave accounts of a certain kind of destitute homeless population termed as «lazzari». Originally portrayed as the unruly and dangerous scum of the city’s lowlife, the lazzari undergo a transformation and are subsequently viewed as the prototype for a particular Mediterranean identity: folk who get along with little yet get the best out of life. In reviewing the various changes of outlook that in time led to the crystallisation of the «lazzaro» stereotype, the author attempts to demonstrate how the lazzari or lazzaroni cannot be taken as representing a specific social class that was twice seen to play a political role (in 1647-48 and in 1789), but are rather an expression of a political tradition that is responsible for a number of «social» arguments and representations that finally end up creating representations and «social» subjects.[...

SINDROME BENIGNO DE HIPERMOVILIDAD ARTICULAR: ESTUDIO CLINICO
No full textEn el presente estudio investigamos la prevalencia, características y rasgos clínicos del síndrome benigno de hipermovilidad articular en 575 sujetos sanos. El diagnóstico se estableció empleando los criterios diagnósticos de Carter y Wilkinsoncon la modificación de Beighton.Encontramos una prevalencia global del síndrome benigno de hipermovilidad articular del 17.21% en nuestra población, la cual fue mayor en las mujeres (21.65%) que en los varones (11.87%); además la prevalencia disminuyó significativamente con la edad. La única asociación importante y estadísticamente significativa (p< 0,05) que encontramos fue entre el síndrome benigno de hipermovilidad articular y la presencia de cambios artrósicos. Los criterios diagnósticos más sensibles fueron la oposición pasiva del pulgar al borde interno del antebrazo y la hiperextensión del codo mayor de 10 grados, mientras que los criterios mas específicos fueron: hiperextensión pasiva de las rodillas mayor de 10 grados y extensión de la muñeca y articulaciones metacarpofalángicas de manera que los dedos queden paralelos al antebrazo
