CONTRASTING NARRATIVES OF RELIGIOUS CONVERSION: STUDY OF “KISAH MUALAF” VERTIZONE TV AND LOG IN HUSEIN JAFAR
Get PDFWith the increasing trend of religious mediatization, the topic of religious conversion has gained significant attention in the media, both as news content and as part of Islamic dakwah narratives in Indonesia. This narrative has been widely disseminated through new media and the internet, where religious conversion stories are frequently featured in Islamic dakwah videos that attract a large audience. This article examines the “Kisah Mualaf” segment on the Vertizone TV channel and the “Log In” program on Deddy Corbuzier’s channel. “Kisah Mualaf`” presents narratives of dramatic transformation of the converts, biblical validation, and the perceived mutual threat between Islam and Christianity, shaping a dakwah content formula that represents a new generation of convert preachers. On the other hand, “Log In”, hosted by Husein Jafar, frames religious conversion narratives through comedic gimmicks while emphasizing Indonesian pluralism, reflecting the perspectives of moderate Islamic groups. Through this study, the author explores the contrasting discourses on religious conversion as a prominent narrative within Indonesia’s digital dakwah sphere. Employing content analysis, netnography, and a review of existing literature, the author argues that two dominant religious conversion narratives have emerged among digital preachers, constituting not only a competition for audience engagement but also a contestation of discourse within Indonesia’s Islamic digital dakwah landscape.

The research method used in this research is empirical juridical legal research. The data used by the author in this research are primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The author in analyzing the data uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Descriptive research is the author trying to describe research activities carried out on certain objects clearly and systematically, as well as conducting exploration with the aim of accurately explaining the results of the research. The results of this study after the settlement in court are based on the results of the Surabaya District Court's decision that the Panel of Judges granted part of the plaintiff's claim. In conducting an agreement, it is better to use a written agreement not only an oral agreement, in order to avoid any act of a Breach of Promise or Default
Framework for Context-Aware Information Processing for Design Review in a Virtual Environment
No full textDesign review is a process of reviewing construction design documents to ensure that they reflect the owner's design intent, and are accurate in describing the owner's desired building or facility. Information generation becomes more intensive as the design stage progresses. The use of valuable information during design review stage can lead to a more comprehensive and high quality design, and a building or facility that is constructible, and within the intended budget. However, in current design practices, valuable design review information is scattered, ineffectively placed, and is not used efficiently. The design review process will be more efficient if this valuable information is integrated and centralized.
The author developed a framework to improve the design review process by incorporating a centralized repository of design review information and 3D CAD model, in an interactive Virtual Environment (VE). To develop the framework, the author used Action Research style where he identified and confirmed the design review problem area, promoted the potential solutions to the problem, and developed a prototype. In gathering and analyzing the data for the research, the author used the synthesis of three methods. They include review of literature, a case study (interviews with industry personnel and content analysis of design review documents), and dissemination of the author's progressive findings in conferences, conference proceedings and journal publications.
From his findings, the author developed the framework to improve the design review process by using information filtering based on context-aware concept, coupled with the benefits of a VE. The required design review information in the form of textual, numerical and geometric information is processed (queried, retrieved and stored). The author defined four contexts for information filtering: discipline-centric, task-centric, object-centric, and location-centric. IF-THEN rules are used to trigger the processing of the required design review information and present it to the design reviewer in a VE. A low cost 3D Game Engine is used as the enabling development tool to develop a work-in-progress (WIP) prototype design review application in a VE.Ph. D

No full textThe book cover is one of the most important aspects of the physical book being bought and sold. This book cover is the outermost part of the book and is the first time seen by the public or buyers. It is necessary to have book cover designs and illustrations that are attractive and have high selling value so that buyers are easily attracted. With illustrations, readers can visualize the author's intentions in the writings created. Therefore, in making illustrations, the illustrator needs a good imagination game to convey the content of the story to the audience.
Illustrations must also have knowledge of semiotics. Semiotics itself is a science that studies signs, objects, icons, and others to interpret these signs. This semiotics has several types, namely 1) communication semiotics, and 2) significance semiotics. In this research, the author took one type of semiotics, namely communication semiotics. This communication semiotics also has 2 more categories, namely, 1) verbal communication, and 2) visual communication.
The aim or focus of the activities carried out is the process of creating book cover design illustrations starting from reading the manuscript that goes to the publisher until the book cover is printed. The focus of another activity is explaining the visual semiotic analysis of the illustrations created by the author for the reader to understand the meaning of the illustration and its continuity with the content of the manuscript. The process from making the illustration to the cover design is approved by the script writer for the publication process, namely 1) taking the essence of the story; 2) create illustrations; 3) create a book cover; and the last important step to do is 4) PowerClip the book cover. Meanwhile, for visual semiotic analysis, the results of the illustrations that the author has created have 2 stages of interpretation, namely 1) Denotational meaning, which contains the choice of color and typography; and 2) Connotative meaning, which contains analysis of the illustrations or images that have been created

The author tried to explore whether work environment would have significant relationship with job satisfaction, in this case work environment that were analyzed are office facility, work flexibility, social relationship, job security, and job esteem. A quantitative survey questionnaire is conducted to explore the relationship between independent and dependent variable. Multi linear regression were applied to analyze the relationship between independent and dependent variable in this study. Tahap pencapaian murid-murid tahun enam dalam modul khatam al-Quran j-QAF: satu kajian di sekolah kebangsaan daerah Kuala Muda, Yan
Get PDFKajian ini dilakukan ke atas 3443 orang murid daripada 23 buah sekolah kebangsaan
di dalam daerah Kuala Muda Yan kedah. Mereka terdiri daripada murid lelaki dan
perempuan generasi pertama program j-QAF kohort 2005. Tujuan utama kajian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui tahap pencapaian literasi al-Quran secara keseluruhan
daripada murid berdasarkan kepada Modul Khatam al-Quran j-QAF. Penyelidikan ini
juga dijalankan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbezaan tahap kebolehan bacaan
al-Quran dikalangan murid berdasarkan jantina, lokasi sekolah dan skor markah
bacaan mereka. Selain itu kajian ini cuba melihat peningkatan prestasi murid yang
berlaku antara enam bulan pertama persekolahan dan enam bulan kedua persekolahan.
Data yang dikumpul dianalisis menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Package For Social
Science) versi 17 dan Mcrosoft Exel 2007. Analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk
memberi tafsiran kepada data dan seterusnya menjawab persoalan kajian. Analisis
mendapati 81% murid telah menguasai bacaan al-quran dan 18.4% murid masih di
dalam sukatan Iqra satu hingga enam. Kemampuan murid dalam penguasaan bacaan
al-Quran berada ditahap yang memuaskan. Kajian ini juga mendapati wujudnya
peningkatan yang positif dalam literasi al-Quran murid antara enam bulan pertama
persekolahan dan enam bulan kedua persekolahan. Walaubagaimanapun, matlamat
utama program ini untuk 100% khatam al-Quran belum tercapai kerana masih
terdapat 0.78% murid yang gagal menghabiskan sukatan khatam al-Quran bersama
guru. Jumlah ini walaupun kecil, namun ia memerlukan perhatian segera agar tidak
berlaku lagi keciciran pada masa akan datang. (Abstract by author

Get PDFThis final report aims to design an accounting information system for cost of goods manufacture using Micorosft Excel on orders from CV Aulia Printing In writing this final report, the object under study is the calculation of the cost of goods manufactured on orders for banners, brochures and invitations in the period January 2023. The data source that the authors took was primary data which included the results of the author's interview with the leadership of CV Aulia Printing. Data collection techniques used by the author are interviews and documentation. The author conducted an analysis of the accounting information system at CV Aulia Printing. The author knows that the company has made a report on the cost of production, but the lack of ability in technology, the lack of the role of technology, results in the calculation of the cost of production taking quite a long time. The calculation of the cost of production at the Company still uses a manual system so that the company has difficulty calculating the cost of production on a regular basis. The results of this report are designed by the authors to calculate the cost of goods manufacture and the application that can be followed by users at CV Aulia Printing. The author provides suggestions so that companies can apply accounting information systems for cost of goods manufacture that have been designed.
