Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

The study has two goals. First, describe the meaning of directive speech acts in Miss Pilot Drama, second, describe lingual markers used by male characters and female characters in Miss Pilot Drama.
The study uses conversations in Miss Pilot Drama as the data resourse, and uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data obtained by the methods and techniques refer to the note. Analyzing data using a Searle’s illocusion act clasification theory, Namatame’s lingual marker directive. The last was presenting data using formal words.
Based on the analysis, 145 datas were provided and categorized in 70 datas command directive speech acts, 38 datas request a directive speech acts, 12 datas invitation directive speech acts, 22 datas prohibition directive speech acts, 2 datas advice directive speech acts, 3 datas permission directive speech acts. Particular situation and based on the properties owned by the speakers can affect the use of markers in a speech lingual. Directive lingual markers used by the male characters do not rule out also used by female characters.

Full text linkHasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak ternyata mempunyai pengaruh besar dalam meningkatkan akhlak anak asuh, khususnya pengaruh pada anak asuh terlihat dalam cara bersikap terhadap sesama anak asuh, pengasuh, ataupun dengan orang lain dan cara anak mengatasi masalahnya sendiri. Sedangkan hambatan yang sering dihadapi lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak dalam pembinaan akhlak anak di lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak Musliahah Aisyiyah Jeneponto pada awalnya dimulai dari kesadaran anak asuh itu sendiri. Kesadaran dari anak asuh itu sendiri dianggap masih kurang karena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari peneliti dapat melihat tingkah laku anak asuh yang belum bisa taat pada peraturan atau tata tertib yang dibuat lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak Musliahah Aisyiyah Jeneponto karena latar belakang anak asuh yang buruk. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah: 1) Sebagai bahan pembinaan akhlak anak di lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak Muslihah Aisyiyah Jeneponto. 2) Sebagai bahan evaluasi bagi lembaga kesejahteraan sosial anak Muslihah Aisyiyah Jeneponto
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

In this research, the main problem is that the company only receives a small increment in terms of profit every year even though they receive a lot of projects from their customers.
The main objective of this research was to determine the current level of customer value in HW Sinaran Engineering (Asia) Sdn. Bhd and to determine the relationship between service quality elements and customer value. Moreover this research is conducted to determine the strong and weak factors that influence the service quality most. For the purpose of the study, a descriptive research design has been adopted.
The 50 respondents of the study were HW Sinaran engineering customers in the Klang valley and Tanjung Malim area. The researcher has used simple random sampling as the sampling technique. In this study, descriptive statistics had been used to interpret the data such as reliability test, frequency analysis, cross-tabulation
analysis and descriptive analysis. 60 questionnaires were distributed and only 50 respondents gave feedbacks. From the findings, the respondents are satisfied with the current level of HW Sinaran engineering service quality. From this research also, the researcher found that the strong factors that influence the service quality is reliability and assurance. Furthermore, from the cross-tabulation analysis it shows which company and departments are satisfied with HW Sinaran engineering service quality in terms of providing customer value to them. Finally, this research also found which elements in service quality that influences customer value the most
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textKajian ini bertujuan mengenalpasti pembinaan struktur latihan pergerakan kreatif ke atas kanak-kanak prasekolah. Di samping itu, kajian ini bertujuan menunjukkan sama ada kanak-kanak prasekolah berjaya atau tidak berjaya dalam mengikuti kajian pembinaan struktur latihan pergerakan kreatif yang disediakan. Kajian ini dilakukan ke atas kanak-kanak di Tabika KEMAS Kompleks Kediaman Kakitangan Awam Jalan U-Thant, Kuala Lumpur. Seramai 15 orang kanak-kanak yang mewakili umur 5 dan 6 tahun terlibat dalam kajian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menjalankan kajian ini diambil dari pelbagai pergerakan senaman yang sentiasa dilakukan sebelum melakukan aktiviti pergerakan dan teori pengiraan oleh Trukman dan Waheed. Instrumen ini direka bentuk untuk menampakkan kreatif di dalam pergerakan yang dilakukan oleh kanak-kanak. Data yang telah dikumpul seterusnya dianalisis dan dijadualkan menggunakan paradigma. Melalui keputusan yang diperolehi, dapatlah diketahui bahawa walaupun latihan yang dilakukan sama, setiap kanak-kanak mempunyai tahap keupayaan yang tersendiri untuk mengikuti latihan yang dilakukan. Kesimpulannya, kajian seperti ini amat diperlukan bagi mengetahui prestasi kanak-kanak dalam menjalankan pembinaan struktur latihan

Full text linkBahasa Melayu for International Students (BMfIS) was held for the second time at the Centre for Modern Languages and Human Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The second group involved two students from the University of Illinois Northern (NiU), Matthew Ropp and Derek Koegel aged 21 and 22 years old. The program aimed to expose the American students to an authentic learning environment in getting to know more about Malay customs and culture. The driving force behind the program who also acted as the module developers were Professor James T. Collins, Director of Asian Studies, NiU, Dr Nik Aloesnita Mohd Alwi, Dr Zailin Shah Yusoff and Siti Muslihah Isnain. The program was also supported by five facilitators cum tutors for in-class learning. They were Nurainatul Fatimah Burhanuddin, Lai Yew Chong, Rozanne Shamini d/o Francis, Muhammad Adib Mat Nasir and Chok Choy Hong
Determinants of workers absenteeism in the private sectors companies. a case study in Shah Alam, Selangor / Muslihah Atikah Soenarto
Full text linkThe purpose of the study is to determine the determinants of workers absenteeism in private sector companies which located in Shah Alam, Selangor. There are four (4) objectives of the study. The first research objective is to determine the relationship between stress, leadership, health conditions, work life balance and workers absenteeism. Next, the research objective is to determine the level of workers absenteeism. The third research objective is to determine the most significant predictors of workers absenteeism. Finally, the research objective is to determine significant effect of gender between stress, leadership, health conditions, work life balance and workers absenteeism. In 2017, Malaysian employees lose 67 days a year to absenteeism due to poor health and fitness. The average yearly cost of health-related absenteeism per organisation is estimated at RM2.7 million. This is just one of the findings of the 2017 Malaysia's Healthiest Work Place by AIA Vitality on 47 small, medium and large-sized companies in cities across Malaysia. Based on past research, it shows that the rate of workers absenteeism is increasing year by year. In this study, questionnaire was used in order to collect the data. The data was analysed by using SPSS version of 26.0. Based on the SPSS data, the researcher found that stress is the most significant factor that influencing the workers absenteeism. It is also found that the level of worker absenteeism in Shah Alam, Selangor is high. Apart from that, all of the factors have significant relationship with the workers absenteeism. Finally, the researcher found that gender had no effect towards stress, leadership, health conditions, work life balance, and workers absenteeism
