Background. The data on the influence of balneotherapy in the spa Truskavets’ on the autonomic nervous system are ambiguous, so research in this direction remains relevant. The purpose of this study is accompanying changes in some hormonal, lipid and hemodynamic parameters in women with alternative variants of the vegetotropic effect of balneotherapy. Materials and Methods. The object of the study were 30 women aged 30-50 years old, patients with chronic cholecystitis in the remission phase, combined with polycystic ovaries and hyperplasia of the thyroid gland. Before and after balneotherapy, HRV was recorded and hormonal, lipid as well as veloergometric parameters were determined. Results. We confirmed the ambivalent nature of the vegetotropic effect of balneotherapy: sympathicotonic in 57% women and vagotonic in 43%. It is revealed the tendency to decrease testosterone level with sympathicotonic effect and the opposite tendency with vagotonic effect. There were no significant differences with respect to thyroid hormones, FSH, estradiol, prolactin and cortisol. Vagotonic but not sympathicotonic effect is accompanied by a tendency to decrease the coefficient of atherogenicity and the response of systolic blood pressure to standard physical load. Conclusion. Alternative vegetotropic effects of balneotherapy on spa Truskavets’ are accompanied by alternative changes in the level of testosterone alone, but no other registered hormones as well as lipid and hemodynamic parameters.

Abstract
Aim of study. To reveal influence of maternal infection on morpho-functional state of fetuses’ adrenal cortex.
Methods. The material was obtained during sectional studies, which were conducted on the basis of the "Kharkiv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center" from 2012 to 2016. The sample included fetuses with a gestation period of 32-42 weeks. The adrenal glands of fetuses were examined morphologically, using histological, morphometric and immunohistochemical methods.
Results. It was found that maternal infection leads to a decrease of morpho-functional activity of constant and fetal zones of the adrenal cortex, which was manifested by hypoplasia of zona glomeroulosa and fetal zone depletion; cytolysis and resorption of spongiocytes in zona fasciculata. In this case, increase in hormonal production in the permanent cortex is a manifestation of compensatory-adaptation reaction.
Key words. Fetus, maternal infection, hypoxia, adrenal gland

Trim is a difference between bow draft and stern draft. Trim is used as a a
reference in determining UKC when the vessel is sailing in the waters, and as
security in avoiding grounding when sailing. There are problems in the loading
process that makes inappropriate trim condition when vessel is entering the
shallow Mimika river, therefore it is necessary to do a good handling as an effort
in avoiding the ship from the danger of grounding on the Mimika river. The way is
implementing the trim configuration and the highest tide reference of the tide
table book on the Mimika river.
Considering the importance of security when navigating in a narrow and
shallow channel then the trim configuration should be done well, in this case the
author uses the fenomenology method, where as this method is done by solving the
problem in accordance with the experience at the time the author carried out the
practice at sea.
By implementing the procedure, it is expected that the ship can avoid the
grounding when entering the Mimika river So that loading and loading activities
can run smoothly and the company does not suffer losses caused by disruption of
ship operations. At the end of this section, the author present conclusions and
suggestions.

EFFECTS OF FITNESS PROGRAMS WITH AQUATICS ELEMENTS ON PHYSICAL CONDITION OF 16-17 YEAR-OLD MALES
Vira Pidhaina
National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport, Kyiv, Ukraine
Abstract
The article identifies the impact of an aquatics fitness program on the physical condition of 16-17-year-old males. Objective. The study was aimed at assessing the effects of the fitness program with aquatics elements on physical condition of 16-17 year-old males. Methods and organization of the study. The following methods were used: analysis and generalization of special scientific and methodological literature; pedagogical, sociological, anthropometric, and physiological methods; and the methods of mathematical statistics. To assess physical health, Apanasenko’s method for somatic health express assessment was used. The level of physical fitness of young men was assessed according to the Krutsevich’s method. The Ruffier, Robinson, Skibinsky, Stange, and Genche indices were used to assess the functional status of the cardiorespiratory system. The program lasted for 9 months with workouts done three times a week. The program included three stages: preparatory (10-12 weeks), main (16-18 weeks), and final (14-16 weeks) ones. The study involved 48 males aged 16-17 years. Results of the study. After the experiment, significant (p <0.05) changes were found in the morpho-functional status of 16-year-old men including body weight, heart rate, lung vital capacity, Stange and Genche tests, Ruffier, Skibinsky, and Robinson indices, and vital capacity-to-body weight ratio. In 17-year-old men, the changes in Robinson, Skibinsky, and Quetelet indices, as well as in wrist dynamometry and strength index were found. The results of Ruffier test indicated improvements in physical performance and physical fitness of young men. The physical health of most young men aged 16-17 was improved to the ‘safe’ level. Conclusions. The effectiveness of the aquatics program was proved. Significant changes were found to occur in the following indicators of physical condition of young men: physical fitness, physical health, work capacity, and morphofunctional condition.
Key words: program, effectiveness, aquatics, young males, rowing, physical condition
An evaluation of the Agrobacterium tumefaciens Virulence gene system as a potential diagnostic test for Neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma is a common pediatric cancer, the prognosis for which is markedly dependent upon the progression of the disease at the time of diagnosis. It has been argued that a mass screening programme for all infants would aid early detection of neuroblastoma and reduce mortality. Neuroblastoma is unusual amongst childhood cancers since the basis for such a test exsists - otherwise asymptomatic patients excrete abnormal amounts of specific phenolic compounds in their urine. The presence of these metabolites at elevated levels is taken as diagnostic of the disease. A number of pilot screening programmes in different parts of the world have shown that a quick, inexpensive and reliable method of screening is needed. One candidate for this is a test based upon the responses of Agrobacterium tumefaciens to compounds with structures similar to those produced as a result of tumour metabolism. This bacterium responds to such phenolic ligands chemotactically and by induction of virulence gene expression. Data presented in this work shows that phenolics secreted by neuroblastoma tumours are incapable of inducing virulence gene expression but are capable of acting as chemoattractants. The role of phosphorylation in VirA/G mediated phenolic chemotaxis is investigated. Evidence is presented that phosphorylation of Vir and G is required for chemotaxis. A novel, highly reproducible and comparible measure bacterial chemotaxis, the chemotactic index is derived and applied
