    Pedestrian Perception about Facility of Pedestrian Crossings

    Pedestrians are vulnerable road user which have potential conflicts with vehicles, especially when pedestrians crossing the road. The number of accidents which was involving pedestrians crossing on the roads were relatively high. Data showed that accidents which were involving pedestrians in Indonesia were 3878 events1. The purpose of this study is to determine the needs of pedestrians on the crossing facility and how pedestians desired types of crossing facilities. Data were collected by questionnaire distribution and interviews to the pedestrians. Collecting data and information were conducted in Bandung. Perception of comfort on each type of crossing facility, the majority of respondents choose pelican crossing and crossings with creative road marking with the highest comfort 50% and 51% respectively. Respondents' perception on the secure of each types of crossing facility is to assume that overpass/underpass has the highest secure pedestrian crossing by 48%. In addition, the recommendation of types of pedestrian crossing on Jalan Asia Africa Rd and Aceh Rd are pelican crossing on weekday and overpass/underpas at the weekend based on PV2 formula

    TINGKAT PELAYANAN FASILITAS PEJALAN KAKI DI KAWASAN TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT DUKUH ATAS JAKARTA

    Abstract Transit Oriented Development is an urban development approach that adopts mixed spatial planning and maximizes the use of mass transportation. Dukuh Atas area is the first area in the city of Jakarta to be designated as a Transit Oriented Development area. In this area, the modes of public transportation that are already operating are Electric Railroad, Commuter Line, Mass Rapid Transit, Airport Trains, Transjakarta Buses, and Metrotrans Buses. Jakarta Light Rail Transit and Jabodebek Light Rail Transit will also have stations in the Dukuh Atas area. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of service of pedestrian facilities in the Dukuh Atas. The survey was carried out by manually calculating pedestrian flows and pedestrian travel times. Furthermore, the level of service of pedestrian facilities is determined using parameters of pedestrian flows, pedestrian speed, pedestrian density, and pedestrian space. The results of the analysis show that based on v/c ratio, the level of service on Jalan Blora Road, on Jalan Tanjung Karang, and in the Kendal Tunnel is all A. While based on the queuing area, the level of service varies between A to D. Furthermore, based on the clustering effect, the levels of service obtained were A and B. Keywords: Transit Oriented Development; pedestrian; mass transportation; level of service.  Abstrak Transit Oriented Development merupakan suatu pendekatan pengembangan kota yang mengadopsi tata ruang campuran dan memaksimalkan penggunaan transportasi masal. Kawasan Dukuh Atas merupakan kawasan pertama di Kota Jakarta yang dicanangkan sebagai kawasan Transit Oriented Development. Di kawasan ini, moda transportasi umum yang sudah beroperasi adalah Electric Railroad atau Kereta Rel Listrik, Commuter Line, Mass Rapid Transit, Kereta Bandara, Bus Transjakarta, dan Bus Metrotrans. Light Rail Transit Jakarta dan Light Rail Transit Jabodebek juga akan memiliki stasiun di wilayah Dukuh Atas ini. Tujuan studi ini adalah menentukan tingkat pelayanan fasilitas pejalan kaki di kawasan Dukuh Atas. Survei dilakukan dengan cara menghitung secara manual arus pejalan kaki dan waktu tempuh pejalan kaki. Selanjutnya, tingkat pelayanan fasilitas pejalan kaki ditentukan dengan menggunakan parameter arus pejalan kaki, kecepatan pejalan kaki, kepadatan pejalan kaki, dan ruang pejalan kaki. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan v/c ratio, tingkat pelayanan di Jalan Blora, di Jalan Tanjung Karang, dan di Terowongan Kendal semuanya adalah A. Sedangkan berdasarkan area antrian, tingkat pelayanan bervariasi antara A hingga D.     ANALISIS NILAI WALKABILITY PADA FASILITAS PEJALAN KAKI DI KAWASAN TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT (TOD)

    ABSTRAK Transit Oriented Development (TOD) merupakan salah satu solusi permasalahan transportasi dan lingkungan di kawasan perkotaan, terutama kota-kota besar khususnya di DKI Jakarta. Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta melakukan implementasi kawasan berbasis pengembangan TOD pada beberapa titik di wilayahnya salah satunya adalah kawasan Dukuh Atas yang memiliki tata guna lahan  untuk  perkantoran, permukiman dan aktivitas perdagangan  serta  jasa. Penerapan fasilitas TOD didukung dengan beberapa pembangunan kawasan dukuh atas yang seperti penataan trotoar, terowongan kendal, stasiun komuter dan halte bus. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk menilai sejauh mana tingkat walkability pada kawasan TOD Dukuh Atas tersebut setelah dilakukan penataan kawasan tersebut. Metode analisis yang dipakai adalah metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk grafik untuk melakukan penilaian persepsi pengguna terhadap kualitas walkability. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis Importance Performance of Analysis serta analisis korelasi sederhana. Nilai walkability rata-rata seluruh parameter pada area Dukuh Atas sebesar 88 atau dapat dikatakan bahwa sebagian besar kegiatan dilakukan dengan berjalan kaki. Analisis Importance Performance of Analysis (IPA) untuk mengidentifikasi kualitas dan kepentingan walkability didapat kategori 3 atau ketersediaan penyeberangan harus segera dibenahi. Selanjutnya adalah analisis uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa aspek aksesibilitas adalah aspek yang dinilai memiliki keterkaitan paling erat dengan konsep walkability dengan nilai 0,798.     HUBUNGAN VOLUME LALU LINTAS, KECEPATAN TEMPUH, DERAJAT KEJENUHAN, KERAPATAN DAN ARUS LALU LINTAS, PADA JALUR KHUSUS SEPEDA MOTOR (JKSM) DI JEMBATAN SURAMADU

    Pada akhir tahun 2013 populasi sepeda motor mencapai 85,45 juta unit dengan komposisi sepeda motor di jalan rata-rata mencapai hingga 70% (AISI, 2014). Dalam rangka memfasilitasi sepeda motor, maka terbitlah PP Nomor 44 Tahun 2009 yang menyatakan bahwa ”Jalan tol dapat dilengkapi jalur jalan tol khusus bagi kendaraan bermotor roda dua yang secara fisik terpisah dari jalur jalan tol yang diperuntukkan bagi kendaraan bermotor roda empat atau lebih”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh antara volume lalu lintas, kecepatan tempuh, kerapatan, arus lalu lintas, dan derajat kejenuhan pada JKSM di jalan tol dengan metode analisis adalah regresi linier. Survei dilakukan pada lokasi JKSM Suramadu dengan mengumpulkan data kecepatan tempuh dan volume sepeda motor. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pengaruh volume terhadap kecepatan tempuh tidak terlalu signifikan dan bersifat negatif dengan nilai -0,324. Pengaruh bertambahnya kerapatan terhadap kecepatan tempuh di JKSM arah Madura adalah sebesar -0,460 sedangkan arah Surabaya sebesar -0,523 keduanya bersifat bertolak belakang. Pada JKSM arah Madura besarnya pengaruh faktor kerapatan terhadap arus sangat signifikan, yaitu sebesar 0,941 sedangkan pada arah Surabaya sebesar 0,966. Faktor pengaruh arus terhadap kecepatan tempuh di JKSM arah Madura adalah sebesar -0,195, sedangkan untuk arah Surabaya yaitu sebesar -0,391 keduanya bersifat bertolak belakang

    Nowadays, motorcycle is the most popular mode of transportation in Indonesia. At the end of 2011, the population of motorcycles reached 67.83 million units and increased the composition of motorcycle on the road approximately from 60 to 70%. The huge number of motorcycles showed the changing of traffic flow characteristics and decreased signalized intersection performance. Motorcycles movement at intersection approach is usually caused traffic conflict between motorcycle and other types vehicles. The traffic conflict is potential to cause the accident. Therefore, red box for motorcycle at signalized intersection is designate a space for motorcyclists to wait at a red light. Motorcyclists stop in front of other types vehicles and can proceed through the intersection first when the light turns green. This is one of the solution to reduce conflict between motorcycle and other types vehicles and increase intersection performance. Aim of this paper to analyze the influence of red motorcycle box to the traffic conflict and traffic flow at intersection. The traffic flow analysis method used MKJI (Indonesia road capacity manual) while the traffic conflict analysis used Bagulay C.J. method. One of red motorcycle box was implemented at Ahmad Yani-Laswi intersection in Bandung in year 2010. Data collection from before to after implementation of red motorcycle box has surveyed at this intersection in order to determine the influence of red motorcycle box. The data which was collected are traffic volume and traffic conflict. Analysis result show that traffic flow rose up to 13% and the traffic conflict which involved motorcycle at intersection felt up to 39%. All in all, the traffic conflict has decreased and the traffic flow has increased at Ahmad Yani-Laswi intersection due to red motorcycle box implementation

    PEMENUHAN STANDAR TEKNIS FASILITAS PEJALAN KAKI KAWASAN CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT JAKARTA

    Abstract &nbsp; The City of Jakarta has changed the paradigm of urban transportation development since 2016, with the priority of transportation development is for pedestrians and cyclists. The Jakarta Provincial Government has built 329 km of new sidewalks in the 2016–2019 period. This study aims to determine the fulfillment of technical stan-dards for pedestrian facilities in the Sudirman–Thamrin area, which is the largest Central Business District area in Jakarta, with a higher pedestrian volume than other areas. The area has a new sidewalk that was built to support the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta. This study shows that the aspects of safety, comfort, accessibility, aesthetics, and connectivity, have an average technical suitability value from 86% to 98%. There are 15 para-meters out of 19 parameters, which have technical compliance with the parameters contained in the pedestrian guidelines, so it can be said that most of the pedestrian facilities built in the Sudirman–Thamrin Central Business District area have met the technical standard requirements contained in the Technical Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities, issued by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. &nbsp; Keywords: transportation; sidewalk; pedestrian; pedestrian facilities; technical suitability &nbsp; &nbsp; Abstrak &nbsp; Kota Jakarta mengubah paradigma pembangunan transportasi kota sejak tahun 2016, dengan prioritas pem-bangunan transportasi adalah untuk pejalan kaki dan pesepeda. Pemerintah Provinsi Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta telah membangun trotoar baru sepanjang 329 km pada kurun waktu 2016–2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemenuhan standar teknis fasilitas pejalan kaki pada kawasan Sudirman–Thamrin, yang merupakan kawasan Central Business District terbesar di Jakarta, dengan volume pejalan kaki yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kawasan lainnya. Kawasan tersebut memiliki trotoar baru yang dibangun dalam rangka menyambut perhelatan Asian Games 2018 di Jakarta. Studi ini menujukkan bahwa aspek-aspek keamanan, kenyamanan, aksesibilitas, estetika, dan konektivitas, mempunyai nilai rata-rata kesesuaian teknis antara 86% hingga 98%. Terdapat 15 parameter dari 19 parameter, memiliki kesesuaian teknis dengan parameter yang terdapat pada pedoman pejalan kaki, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa sebagian besar fasilitas pejalan kaki yang dibangun di kawasan Central Business District Sudirman–Thamrin telah memenuhi ketentuan teknis yang terdapat pada Pedoman Teknis Fasilitas Pejalan Kaki, yang diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat. &nbsp; Kata-kata kunci: transportasi; trotoar; pejalan kaki; fasilitas pejalan kaki; kesesuaian tekni
