Berawal dari latar belakang munculnya isu-isu sosial dalam bisnis yang berupa kurangnya kesadaran sosial, moralitas dan kerusakan yang ditimbulkan pada masyarakat berupa masalah-masalah yang berhubungan dengan bisnis, maka penulis mencoba mengupas tentang etika bisnis yang ditawarkan oleh M. Dawam Rahardjo yang dirasa sangat cocok untuk pembahasan dalam penulisan ini. Rumusan masalah dalam penulisan ini yaitu bagaimana pandangan Dawam Rahardjo tentang etika bisnis dan relevansinya dengan etika bisnis Islam serta penerapannya dalam dunia bisnis era digital. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian content analysis yang bersifat library research. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan historis dan pendekatan filosofis. Data primer dalam penelitian ini adalah karya tulis Dawam Rahardjo berupa buku, artikel maupun jurnal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Dawam Rahardjo mendasari pemikiran etika bisnisnya dari nilai-nilai fundamental ekonomi Islam yang kemudian diasimilasikan dengan budaya lokal Indonesia yang terkandung dalam Pancasila. Nilai-nilai yang ditawarkan Dawam berupa tauhid, khila>fah, ta’awun, ta’aruf, musyawarah, ih}sa>n, fastabiq al-khaira>t, keseimbangan, amanah, amar ma’ru>f nahi> munka>r, wa tawa>s}aubi al-haqq, wa tawa>s}aubi al-s}abr dan taqwa. Nilai-nilai tersebut sangat sesuai dengan etika bisnis Islam, karena nilai-nilai ini bersumber dari al-Qur’an dan dipahami dengan teori dan pendekatan ilmu ekonomi. Dawam Rahardjo which is considered very suitable for the discussion in this writing. The formulation of the problem in this paper is how Dawam Rahardjo views business ethics and its relevance to Islamic business ethics and its application in the digital era business world. This type of research is a content analysis research which is library research. The approach used is a historical approach and a philosophical approach. The primary data in this study were the writings of Dawam Rahardjo in the form of books, articles and journals. The results of this study indicate that Dawam Rahardjo based his business ethics thinking from the fundamental values of Islamic economics which are then assimilated to the local Indonesian culture contained in Pancasila. The values that Dawam offers are tauhid, caliphate, ta’awun, ta’aruf, deliberation, ihsan, fastabiq al-khairat, balance, trust, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, wa tawasaubi al-haqq, wa tawasaubi al-sabr and taqwa. These values are in accordance with Islamic business ethics, because these values come from the Qur'an and are understood by the theory and approach of economics. These normative values are then actualized in the form of applied ethics in the form of ecology, professionalism and managerial mandates

    Problematika Tafsir Sosial Dawam Rahardjo: Kritik Atas Etika dan Metodologi Penafsiran al-Qur`an

    The development of Qur'anic studies in Indonesia, especially in the 90s, experienced significant growth. It was marked by the emergence of various methodological offers from those who not only specialize as mufassirs, but also from non-mufassir scholars. Dawam Rahardjo with his new idea of “social thematic interpretation” (al-Mauḍū’īyyah al-Ijtimā’iyyah) is one of the non-interpretive scholars who have colored the dialectic of Qur`anic interpretation. His thematic methodology based on the analysis of key terms has become an object of discourse that continues to be debated until now. The research in this article is one of the critical studies that tries to fill the discourse. Methodologically, this research is a qualitative research that is operationalized in two approaches: First, the historical approach is used to analyze the originality of the development of Dawam Rahardjo’s tafsir thought. Second, through a critical approach from the perspective of ‘ulūm al-Qur`ān, the author rethinks and critically reads Dawam Rahadjo's interpretation methodology, both in terms of novelty, excellence and weakness. The results of this study show that Dawam Rahardjo’s thematic interpretation methodology has no fundamental differences with thematic methods in general, although some aspects such as “historical interpretation” and “paradigmatic interpretation” are distinctive. However, Dawam has some weaknesses. In terms of the ethics of interpretation, he tends to be apathetic towards the “formal requirements” agreed upon by the majority of scholars, thus often ignoring the basic principles in interpretation. While in terms of methodology, his ideas are still discursive discourse, immature, so it is not uncommon when interpreting, his ideas are not in line with the theory he developed, even some aspects of his views seem distorted, especially his description of the genealogy of thematic interpretation (mauḍū’ī).Perkembangan kajian al-Qur`an di Indonesia khususnya di era tahun 90-an mengalami pertumbuhan yang signifikan. Hal itu ditandai oleh munculnya beragam tawaran metodologis dari kalangan yang bukan hanya berspesialisasi sebagai mufassir, tetapi juga dari kalangan sarjana non-tafsir. Dawam Rahardjo dengan gagasan baru yang disebutnya sebagai “tafsir tematik sosial” (al-Mauḍū’īyyah al-Ijtimā’iyyah) adalah satu di antara sarjana non-tafsir yang ikut mewarnai dialektika penafsiran al-Qur`an. Tawaran metodologi tematik berbasis analysis of key terms-nya menjadi objek diskursus yang terus diperdebatkan hingga sekarang. Penelitian dalam artikel ini merupakan salah satu kajian kritis yang mencoba mengisi diskursus tersebut. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dioperasionalkan dalam dua pendekatan: Pertama, pendekatan historis (kesejarahan) yang digunakan untuk menganalisis orisinalitas perkembangan (development) pemikiran tafsir Dawam Rahardjo. Kedua, melalui pendekatan kritis dari perspektif ‘ulūm al-Qur’ān, penulis melakukan rethinking dan pembacaan kritis terhadap metodologi penafsiran Dawam Rahadjo, baik dari segi kebaruan, keunggulan maupun kelemahannya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, tawaran metodologi tafsir tematik Dawam Rahardjo tidak memiliki perbedaan yang mendasar dengan metode tematik pada umumnya, meskipun beberapa aspek seperti “tafsir historis” dan “tafsir paradigmatis” menjadi kekhasan tersendiri. Akan tetapi, Dawam memiliki beberapa kelemahan. Dari sisi etika tafsir, dia cenderung apatis terhadap “persyaratan formal” yang disepakati mayoritas ulama, sehingga kerapkali mengabaikan prinsip-prinsip dasar di dalam  penafsiran. Sementara dari sisi metodologis, gagasannya masih bersifat wacana yang diskursif, belum matang, sehingga tidak jarang ketika menafsirkan, gagasan-gagasannya tidak sejalan dengan toeri yang  dikembangkannya, bahkan beberapa aspek pandangannya terkesan distorsif terutama uraiannya tentang genealogi tafsir tematik (mauḍū’ī)

    The integration of knowledge has become a central issue emerging among scholars in Indonesian Islamic universities. Some ideas have been proposed to make “bridge” between religious and secular knowledge, as we can see, for instance, in the thought of Kuntowijoyo on “prophetic social sciences”, M. Dawam Rahardjo on “decolonization of social sciences”, M. Amin Abdullah on “spider web of knowledge”, and Mulyadhi Kartanegara on “holistic reconstruction of knowledge”.The researches conducted so far have not touched the core problem in all these proposed ideas yet, namely the place of the Qur`an as a revelation in the integration of knowledge. In fact, the Qur`an constitutes a source of knowledge and, at the same time, an inspiring and guiding scripture, for Moslem’s beliefs, praactices, and thought. Therefore, neglecting the Qur`an in constructing Moslem’s thought on the integration of knowledge will make our understanding the issue artificial. The present article is aimed at studying the thought of Kuntowijoyo and M. Dawam Rahardjo by focusing the discussion on main points: firstly, on the place the Qur`an in the integration of knowledge (as inspiration,source of knowledge, or starting point in building theory) (and the present author will describe data as they are); secondly, intellectual and social background that play important role behind the ideasand modes of use of the Qur`an for intellectual enterprises (and the present author will go into deep analysis on factors or contexts in which the ideas formed); thirdly, the originality, strength, and weakness of the ideas (and the present author will examine the ideas in accordance with some standards)

    Al-Fātiḥah as A Paradigm of Interpretation: A Study of M. Dawam Rahardjo’s Thought

    Artikel ini membahas tentang pemikiran M. Dawam Rahardjo tentang al-Fatihah sebagai paradigma dalam penafsiran al-Qur`an. Thought on the methodology of interpreting the Qur'an in Indonesia cannot be separated from several contemporary Muslim scholars. Some of them gave a new explanation that developed from the treasures of classical concepts. This paper discusses the thoughts of M. Dawam Rahardjo, one of the contemporary Muslim scholars, on al-Fātiḥah as a paradigm of interpretation of the Qur'an. This surah, based on the explanation of the Prophet Muhammad, is only referred to as "the mother of the Qur'ān” (umm al-Qur`ān) because it summarizes the central teachings of the Qur'an. However, the Prophet's explanation was not explored in more depth, so that it was only believed to have no methodological implications in the interpretation of the Qur'an. Using the historical-philosophical approach, the author will examine Dawam's thoughts from the perspective of originality, in terms of continuity-change and epistemology, in terms of the rationality of thought. This paper concludes that, firstly, this idea, although initially based on the Prophet's statement, is further developed by saying that alFātiḥah is a surah whose verses are muhkam and whose content is universal. So that in interpretation, it must be referred to as a paradigm when interpreting verses in other surahs which explain the details. Second, in the context of the study of thought, by its nature, Dawam's thought tends to be monolithic-rationalism. Although he draws this thought from traditional sources (nash, hadīts), this method of interpretation has a rational character and makes these traditional sources the primary source, which he developed

    Conceptual Model of Technology-Enabled Creative Learning Community

    This paper proposes a definition of Creative Learning Community (CLC) that is enabled with technology and its conceptual model in Graduate School of Telkom University. As rooted to learning community term, CLC is defined as a teaching and learning approach within a learning community that consists of a group of students and faculty member that uses creative learning concept. This study adapts the Design Science Research Framework in Information System by Hevner et al to build the conceptual model. First, the study synthesizes existing literature on learning community and creative learning community to define CLC term. Second, based on a review of previous studies and books on learning community, creative thinking, group creativity, engaged learning, student learning outcomes and technology supporting creative learning community, the author analyzes construct candidates of the model. Third, after selecting constructs from the candidates, the study continues by designing the conceptual model of technology-enabled creative learning community. The model was tested the implementations of learning community in Graduate School of Telkom University. The findings provide several conceptual and managerial insights into the role of technology in supporting creative learning community. Future work will need to evaluate the model in the context of other engineering.</p

    Penelitian ini merespon atas kebutuhan film animasi di Indonesia terutama yang mengangkat konten lokal sejarah dan kebudayaan yang dinilai kurang dalam kuantitas sehingga menimbulkan kurangnya kualitas karena kurang adanya kompetisi dalam industri animasi. Untuk memenuhi tujuan dari penelitian ini, penulis melakukan metode penelitian secara kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara kepada Guru Besar sejarah dan pelaku animasi yang sudah menekuni bidangnya sejak lama. Selain itu dilakukan observasi terhadap beberapa film animasi untuk dipelajari secara teknis pembuatannya. Wujud akhir dari perancangan ini adalah sebuah visual storytelling yang menampilkan preview dari serial animasi yang bercerita tentang berdirinya kerajaan Majapahit dengan gaya cerita yang lebih informal, sehingga penikmatnya bukan hanya dari mereka yang ingin mengetahui sejarah, namun juga dari segi hiburan. ======================================================================================================== This research responds to the needs of animated films in Indonesia, especially with local content and cultural history which are considered less in quantity, causing a lack of quality because of the lack of competition in the animation industry. For the purposes of this study, the author conducted qualitative research methods such as an interview to Professor of history and animator from animation industry who has been in this field for a long time. In addition, the observation to several animated films to be studied in technical preparation and production. Final output of this design is a visual storytelling that shows a preview of the animated series that tells the story of the founding of the kingdom of Majapahit which style of the story is presented are more informal, so that the audiences are not only from those who wish to know the history, but also in terms of entertainment

One of the media used is website media, website media has several advantages such as reaching a wider range of users, increasing company credibility and so on.
