Assotiation Geranio -Trifolietum alpestris Th. Muller 1962 in Eastern Polissya
The paper provides data on the floristic composition, coenotic structure, syntaxonomy, and peculiarities of geographical distribution of the species-reach forest-margin communities in Eastern Polissya. These communities belong to the association Geranio-Trifolietum alpestris Th. Muller 1962 (class Trifolio-Geranietea Th. Muller 1962). Some species in need of protection at the national and regional levels occur in such coenoses.Робота виконана за фінансової підтримки бюджетних коштів МОН України, наданих як грант Президента України за договором № Ф13/67-2007

Indicator functions, v-numbers and Gorenstein rings in the theory of projective Reed-Muller-type codes
For projective Reed--Muller-type codes we give a global duality criterion in
terms of the v-number and the Hilbert function of a vanishing ideal. As an
application, we provide a global duality theorem for projective
Reed--Muller-type codes over Gorenstein vanishing ideals, generalizing the
known case where the vanishing ideal is a complete intersection. We classify
self dual Reed-Muller-type codes over Gorenstein ideals using the regularity
and a parity check matrix. For projective evaluation codes, we give a duality
theorem inspired by that of affine evaluation codes. We show how to compute the
regularity index of the -th generalized Hamming weight function in terms of
the standard indicator functions of the set of evaluation points.Comment: 33 page
Frisch, Muller and Belot on an Inconsistency in Classical Electrodynamics
This paper follows up a debate as to whether classical electrodynamics is inconsistent. Mathias Frisch makes the claim in Inconsistency, Asymmetry and Non-Locality ([2005]), but this has been quickly countered by Fred Muller ([2007]) and Gordon Belot ([2007]). Here I argue that both Muller and Belot fail to connect with the background assumptions which support Frisch’s claim. Responding to Belot I explicate Frisch’s position in more detail, before providing my own criticisms. Correcting Frisch’s position, I find that I can present the theory in a way both authors can agree upon. Differences then manifest themselves purely within the reasoning methods employed
