Markkinointivideo Turkista
The purpose of the thesis was to make a marketing video for Turkey to promote the country to defined target groups: young adults, people previously interested in Turkey and those who had visited Turkey before. The objectives of the marketing video were to reach the desired target groups and stimulate their interest in the video and by implication, in Turkey, and to convey a positive image of Turkey. It was also intended that the video would attract as many views as possible. From a personal perspective, I hoped to succeed in making a better video than previously and to develop as a video maker. The thesis was not commissioned.
The theoretical part of the thesis examines the marketing video as a functional thesis, Turkey as a tourist destination, and marketing. The marketing section of the thesis examines video marketing in more detail, as well as other important issues, such as value production, content marketing, the use of narratives, and copyright. The final part of the thesis discusses the product or output of the functional thesis: the various phases of marketing video production. It also presents the feedback received by the video and considers its success.
I was not completely new to making videos. However, the thesis indicated that the planning phase is very important and should be done before filming. Nevertheless, it was not possible to work in such a way here, as the video material had already been filmed during prior trips. From thesis process, I also gained useful knowledge concerning marketing and making videos.
The target groups were reached successfully where the video was marketed. The video attracted considerable feedback based on which it can be assumed that it conveyed a positive image of Turkey and stimulated greater interest in the country among some persons. There was also much constructive feedback which was useful should the author make more videos. The feedback indicated that the second target group should have been more clearly defined. The video suits first-timers better and those who are not very familiar with Turkey although they may have been there before. The video scarcely provides anything new to those who travel to Turkey frequently. Yet, from a personal perspective, this video is the best I have ever made. Therefore my personal objective was achieved. The video also attracted many views, in fact more than one had dared to hope

Micro-shear bond strength of universal adhesives used for amalgam repair with or without Alloy Primer.
Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the adhesive performance of three different universal adhesives to repair aged amalgam by composite resins with or without Alloy Primer. Materials and Methods: Sixty amalgam samples were prepared, aged, and randomly divided into 12 main groups according to adhesive procedures used. Composite buildups were placed on amalgam surfaces. After micro-shear bonding test, the fracture surfaces were examined under the scanning electron microscopy statistical analysis was performed using two-way analysis of variance and Tukey's post hoc tests. Results: Without use of Alloy Primer, all of the universal adhesives provided similar bond strength values with conventional adhesives (P > 0.05); however, an Alloy Primer significantly increased the bond strength values of universal adhesives (P 0.05) except for Clearfil SE Bond (P < 0.05). Conclusions: Within the limitations of this study, it can be concluded; using Alloy Primer before universal adhesives increased the bond strength significantly. © 2018 Journal of Conservative Dentistry | Published by Wolters Kluwer - Medknow
Brain natriuretic peptide: the reason of respiratory distress is heart disease or lung disease?
Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine whether plasma levels of amino-terminal brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) could differentiate between heart failure and lung disease among infants with acute bronchiolitis. Methods: Sixty-eight infants (age range, 1-26 months; median age, 5.9 +/- 5.0 months) who presented with respiratory distress underwent physical examination, plasma BNP measurement, and echocardiography within 24 hours after admission. Nineteen (28%) patients had congenital heart disease. The control group was consisted of 30 healthy infants. Results: Although mean plasma BNP levels were 118.9 +/- 219.5 pg/mL in patients with isolated bronchiolitis (n = 49), it was 841.2 +/- 1475.8 pg/mL in patients with congenital heart disease (n = 19). Plasma BNP levels were significantly higher in infants with congenital heart disease (P = .001). Conclusion: It was shown that plasma BNP levels were affected much more in cardiac disease rather than lung disease. Among infants with respiratory distress, plasma BNP measurements can differentiate congenital heart disease and lung disease and can be used to monitor the effects of treatment for infants with heart failure. Response to reviewers: The comments were taken for consideration. The patient groups control BNP levels were attached to the results. As it was a clinical study and multiple factors (respiratory score, respiratory rate, treatment, etc) may effect on BNP levels, the tables could not be decreased to 1 table. (C) 2015 Elsevier Inc. Evaluation of the bond strength of different adhesive agents to a resin-modified calcium silicate material (TheraCal LC)
This study evaluated the bond strength of different adhesive agents to TheraCal LC and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and examined the morphologic changes of these materials with different surface treatments. A total of 120 specimens, 60 of MTA Angelus (AMTA), and 60 of TheraCal LC, were prepared and divided into six subgroups according to the adhesive agent used; these agents included Scotchbond Multipurpose, Clearfil SE Bond, Clearfil Protect Bond, Clearfil S-3 Bond, OptiBond All-in-One, and G-aenial Bond. After application of adhesive agents, Filtek Z250 composite resin was placed onto the specimens. Shear bond strengths were measured using a universal testing machine, followed by examination of the fractured surfaces. The surface changes of the specimens were observed using scanning electron microscopy. Data were compared by two-way analysis of variance. Although no significant differences were found among the bond strengths of different adhesives to AMTA (p=0.69), a significant difference was found in terms of bond strengths of different adhesives to the TheraCal LC surface (p<0.001). The total-etch adhesive system more strongly bonded to TheraCal LC compared to the bond with other adhesives. TheraCal LC bonded significantly more strongly than AMTA regardless of the adhesive agents tested. Resin-modified calcium silicate showed higher bond strength than AMTA in terms of the composite bond to these materials with different bonding systems. On the other hand, the highest shear bond-strength values were found for composite bonds with the combination of TheraCal LC and the total-etch adhesive system. SCANNING 38:403-411, 2016. Hydrothermally Synthesized Cobalt Borophosphate as an Electrocatalyst for Water Oxidation in the pH Range from 7 to 14
The synthesis of earth-abundant-metal-based, robust, efficient and cost-effective water oxidation electrocatalysts is necessary for renewable energy conversion processes. in this study, a crystalline cobalt borophosphate (CoBP) was synthesized by reacting CoCl2.6H(2)O with B2O3 and (NH4)(2)HPO4 and evaluated as an electrocatalyst for water oxidation catalysis. the electrochemical and electrocatalytic performance of the catalyst towards water oxidation has been investigated by catalyst coating on fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) electrode in different pH solution. Cyclic voltammetric and chronoamperometric studies were performed for the investigation of pH effect on the catalytic activity. Post-catalytic studies indicate that CoBP acts as a pre-catalyst yielding an active phase during the course of electrolysis in the alkaline conditions. the catalyst demonstrated catalytic activity at pH 13.6 with onset potential of 1.46 V (vs. RHE) and Tafel slope of 57 mV dec(-1). Electrochemical studies show that catalyst exhibits a current densities of 1 and 10 mA cm(-2) at 384 and 441 mV. the catalyst showed a turnover frequency (TOF) of 1.1x10(-2) s(-1) at overpotential of 300 mV.Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Unit of Scientific ResearchRecep Tayyip Erdogan University [FBA-2017-804]The research was supported by Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Unit of Scientific Research (Project No: FBA-2017-804). Traumatic cataract study: Surgical outcomes of blunt versus penetrating ocular injuries
The aim of the present study is to evaluate the results of traumatic cataract surgery with regard to the type of trauma, mainly in the assessment of visual acuity. Forty-four patients who had been diagnosed with traumatic cataracts were included in this retrospectively designed study. The patients were divided into blunt and penetrating groups according to the type of trauma. Pre- and postoperative ocular findings of the cases were evaluated. Visual acuity, intraocular pressure, intra- and postoperative complications, associated injuries, and surgical approaches were analyzed. Thirty-three of the cases were male (75%) and 11 (25%) were female. There were 23 patients (52.27%) in the blunt group and 21 (47.72%) in the penetrating group. The pre-operative mean vision of the subjects included in the blunt and penetrating groups was 0.82 and 0.96 logMAR, respectively. Ten (22.72%) eyes were hypotonic ( [Med-Science 2019; 8(1.000): 37-41
Analysis of choroidal thickness in dry type of age-related macular degeneration using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography
To evaluate and compare the choroidal thickness in old-aged (>45 years) patients with dry type of age releated macular degeneration and age-matched normal population using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. A cross-sectional study was conducted in a tertiary eye clinic center. The study consists of 2 study and 1 control groups. Fifty-three eyes of 27 patients and 56 eyes of 28 patiens who were firstly diagnosed with dry type of age releated macular degeneration were participated in the study groups and 64 eyes of 32 individuals without any retinal or choroidal disorder were participated in the control group. All 173 eyes underwent a detailed ophthalmologic examination including optical coherence tomography. An experienced observer measured choroidal thickness using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography. No statistically significiant difference was established between the means of age among three groups. The distribution of choroidal thickness measurements demonstrated a normal distribution in all 3 groups. No statistically significant differences were found between the study groups in terms of mean choroidal thickness, but there were significant differences in mean choroidal thickness between the control group and both study groups. In our study, it was observed that choroidal thickness can be analysed by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography and choroidal thickness in patients with dry type of age releated macular degeneration is appeared to be thinner than normal age-matched population.
