The charismatic personality of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Masood Ahmed had excellence in Islamic and Urdu literary services both. In Urdu literature, the significance of letters (Maktoobat) stands high. The letters of condolence reflect charisma of Prof. Masood's personality. Dr. Masood's letters are, in fact, an artifice of sad realities, coupled with the severeness and bitterness of death. He strived for seeking panacea for the aggrieved families by euphimizing this very severeness and providing a psychological relief for the effected ones. At one place they are letters of condolence while they are masterpieces of literature too and this respect is the core theme of this research paper in hand.

One of the fundamental differences between Islamic and the traditional banking is that the foundation of Islamic banking is based on the Islamic modes of business transactions while the traditional banking contracts make some sort of creditor and debtor arrangement between the contracting parties. Also, all the Islamic commercial contracts are based on the principles of equity, fairness, transparency, and justice. Therefore, the institutions offering Islamic financial products and services are supposed to comply with the true spirit of such contracts in form and substance. However, according to a group of prominent Sharī‘ah scholars, some of the adopted business transactions modes in the prevailing Islamic banking system are somehow less Sharī‘ah compliant. Practicing Murabaha Mu‘ajjalah, in Islamic banking, is one of such kinds of financial modes that heavily criticized by the Sharī‘ah scholar. By adopting an archival research approach and analyzing the accessible established critical literature concerning Murabaha Mu‘ajjalah the paper make a detailed appraisal. The paper concluded that the adapted arrangement of Murabaha Mu‘ajjalah in the contemporary Islamic banks is Sharī‘ah compliant in form but not in substance. It is also concluded that in order to protect the religious stance and ideological commitments of both the existing and potential customers, Islamic banks must need to comply with the true spirit, form, and substance of all the adopted Islamic financial modes

The literal interpretation of the Holy Qur ‘ān is the interpretation that is made taking the dictionary into account while interpreting the Holy Qur‘ān. Without a doubt, the dictionary is an essential source of Quranic exegesis. However, the entire interpretation cannot be based only on the dictionary. Acceptable and unacceptable both aspects are found in the lexical interpretations. The satisfactory element is to present Hadiths or signs to support the description. In contrast, the unacceptable pattern of the literal interpretation is the opposite. This article is aimed to evaluate the exegesis 'Meezan ul Qur ‘ān ' by Allāma Rahmatullah Tariq from these two aspects, as he has used the dictionary repeatedly in his commentary. The paper begins with a brief yet comprehensive autobiography of Allāma Rahmatullah Tāriq, followed by an introduction to the Tafsīr Mīzan ul Qur ‘ān. Then, the article details the methodology Allāma Tāriq adopted for the exegesis of the Holy Qur ‘ān. The paper mainly deals with the various words of the Holy Qur ‘ān and their lexical discussion, which begins with the chapter-wise pattern of interpretation and examples from chapters 1 and 2 of the exegesis. The article concludes with a summary of the research and some valuable suggestions from the researchers. The series of literal interpretations started from the time of the Holy Prophetﷺ. And it continued till the present. The research presented in the article is an endeavour to present a review of Urdu commentaries which were affected by this lexical methodology
