oai:imtezaaj.uok.edu.pk:article/686211f0ea0c6Mir Mahmood Sabir, a contemporary of Wali Dakani, was Sindh’s first Urdu poet with a complete diwan, contributing significantly to early Urdu poetry. While Wali’s poetry is known for its simplicity and fluency, Sabir’s verses exhibit philosophical depth, mysticism, and intricate imagery. His themes include love, divine knowledge, existential reflection, and Sufi metaphysics, distinguishing him in the classical tradition. Sabir’s poetry reflects a rich linguistic blend, influenced by Persian, Arabic, Hindi, Braj, Punjabi, and Sindhi. Raised in Delhi, he mastered Dihlavi Urdu and Persian literary traditions, incorporating Quranic references, classical metaphors, and regional dialects. He was deeply aware of his poetic craft, often taking pride in his unique thematic and stylistic choices. Although Sabir did not attain the same widespread recognition as some of his contemporaries, his poetry remains a crucial link in Urdu’s literary evolution, highlighting Sindh’s role in shaping the language’s early tradition. His distinctive voice, depth of thought, and mastery of language establish him as a significant yet often overlooked figure in classical Urdu poetry

This study examines the psychoanalytic dimensions present in literature, with a particular focus on how an artist internalises and then externalises an entire universe shaped by personal experiences and emotions. As the creator of such a world, the artist’s works inevitably mirror their inner turmoil and complexities. Shakeb Jalali, a modern Urdu poet whose life was marked by profound tragedies, exemplifies this phenomenon. Despite his short lifespan, Jalali emerged as a prominent voice among contemporary poets. His poetry is deeply influenced by personal losses, societal injustices, betrayal by friends, and a pervasive sense of neglect, culminating ultimately in his tragic suicide. This paper aims to critically examine the psychological factors that left lasting imprints on Shakeb Jalali’s creative consciousness and are vividly reflected in his poetry

In our society, women are kept one step behind in every field of life. The exploitation of women is not a matter of age but a centuries-old ritual that is performed as a duty. When they wrote history, literary historians either ignored women writers or mentioned them very briefly. In this way, even the critic did not consider women's creations worthy to take a look at their mysteries. I have written this article inspired by Fatima Hasan's idea that it is now time for women to research women writers themselves.    The main reason for limiting my article to Karachi was that the topic should be written concisely and the second important reason was to bring forward women writers of Karachi, especially poets, and to see that there are some big names of literature in Karachi at that time. To what extent and in what manner are allegorical elements present in his speech? Thus, Karachi is a very fertile city in terms of women poets, but keeping in mind the brevity, I have selected only a few women poets. Especially those poets who are skilled in writing poetry and whose name is a poem
