Sistem Peringatan Berenang di Pantai Berbasis PLC
ABSTRAK Suyuti, Muhammad As. 2011. Perancangan Sistem Peringatan Berenang Di Pantai Berbasis PLC. Tugas Akhir, Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Malang.
The role of the accused in English and Islamic criminal justice
This thesis is a comparative study of the role of the accused in the systems of
English and Islamic criminal justice. It seeks to explore the underlying
relationship between the individual and the state through an historical, structural
and contextual analysis of their rules relating to questioning and of confessions.
The analysis of the English system covers the period 1800 to 1984, with
particular reference to developments during the nineteenth century when the
foundations for the modern English state were established. The analysis of the
Islamic system combines traditionally Islamic and modern methods, assessing the
"Islamisation" movement in Malaysia through a religico-structural understanding
of juristic opinion from the four main schools of Sunnite jurisprudence.
The thesis contributes to existing knowledge on a number of levels: first, it
questions and revises the "myth" of "progress" that has dominated observations
of the history of the English criminal justice system; second, it elucidates the
relationship between Islamic law in theory and the law that is applied and
proposed in its name in Muslim states; third, it provides an analytical framework
for drawing comparisons between the underlying values of the systems of English
and Islamic criminal justice.
While acknowledging fundamental differences in terms of outlook and
articulation, the author concludes there are important similarities expressed
through such notions as "suspect" in the English system and "kafir"I"fasiq" in the
Islamic. These act as intermediate constitutional categories to whom the state
owe less protection. But the author notes also that these similarities are not
observed necessarily in the "law" which is implemented or proposed in Muslim
states; exact correspondence depends upon the over-arching political structure
and the institution of Caliphate.
The thesis is divided into six chapters: chapter one sets out the conventional view
of the historical development of English criminal procedure and evidence;
chapter two subjects that to a critique and chapter three offers a revised thesis.
Chapter four, explores methods for interpreting and explaining Islam; chapter
five sets out rules relating to confessions and questioning according to the four
Sunni schools; chapter six puts them into "context" through an examination of
the "Islamisation" process in Malaysia
METODE PENSYARAHAN SUNAN AN-NASA’I PERBANDINGAN ANTARA IMAM Al-SUYUTI DAN AL-SINDI
Many great scholars have emerged and presented various kinds of monumental works in the field of hadith. Their work became popular which was then called kutub assitah and a book contains almost all hadith from Prophet Muhammad SAW. The books were the main guide for fuqaha’, mujtahid, and other writers. The writers, educators, psychologists, and sociologists obtained what they needed from the books. Sociological and political condition had influenced a conducive situation to work in the hadith. Nowadays, there is diversification of science that distinguish one science to another. It is not surprisingly if many branches of science have emerged, such as tafsir, hadith, fiqh, languages, literatures, and others. This article reviewed the commentary method of Imam Al-Suyuti and Imam Al-Sindi towards a hadith book, Sunan Al-Nasa’ial-Mujtaba by Imam Al-Nasa’i (d. 303 H.). This review was limited to critically observe the comparison of the commentary method by Imam Al-Suyuthi and Imam Al-Sindy. Brief biographies of Imam Al-Nasai, Imam Al-Suyuthi, and Imam Al-Sindy were also outlined. Commentary by Imam Al-Suyuti and Al-Sindi towards Sunan Al-Nasa’i facilitated the people to understand and review. Though, both of them wrote very short commentaries, the commentaries have brought advantages for Muslims, especially for those who get involved and care about the study of Prophet Muhammad SAW hadith. This condition was actually a main purpose of writing those two commentaries
HISTORIOGRAFI ISLAM ABAD PERTENGAHAN (ANALISIS MATERI SEJARAH TARIKH AL-KLULAFA KARYA AS-SUYUTI)
Medieval Islam can be regarded as one of the culmination points of
the development of Islamic historiography. This period raises many famous
historians who represent the advancement of Islamic historiography. Ibn
Khaldun (d. 809 AH/1460 AD) has been known as one of the exponents of
medieval historians in the field of philosophy of history. As-Sakhawi (d.
903 AH / 1497 AD) has reaffirmed the status of Historical Sciences (fann
at-tarikh) as a discipline worth placing together with other disciplines. The
progress does not hamper the sustainability of traditionalist-historian group
who epistemologically still holds the ethos of experts of hadith
(muhaddisin). This group is different from the historians who are controlled
by the ruler (court patronage) and independent historian (fellow historian).
At the time of Mamluk, schools of Egypt recognize the traditionalist group
as religious scholars (‘ulama ad-din) that write history. One of the most
representative figures in this regard is Jalaluddin as-Suyuti (849-911
H/1445-1505 AD), a multitalented prolific scholar. Works of religious
scholars in the field of history give rise to one of the characteristics of
Islamic historiography of the Middle Ages.
Tarikh al-Khulafa’, one of as-Suyuti’s major work, is very
representative of several reasons. First, it reflects the political viewpoints of
the author. Second, the book is also a piece of history of the caliphs of Islam
served with the nuances that are critical in the context of a traditionalist.
Third, there is the use of the text of the Qur’an and the Hadith to legitimize
the idea of an ideal history. The focus of this research is (1) why as-Suyuti
is interested in writing the history of Islam? and (2) how the historical
material explanation of as-Suyuti in Tarikh al-Khulafa’?, and (3) what are
the characteristics which it rests?
This research is a library research using descriptive-analytic
method. The approach used in analyzing the historical material of as-Suyuti
is historiography and hermeneutics. Sources used as research material are
divided in two, First, primary sources, namely the book of Tarikh al-
Khulafa’, and several related books of as-Suyuti and, Second, secondary
sources, ie, other works related to the theme of the research.
The exploration on these problems, leads to several major findings.
First, as-Suyuti is a scholar with an interest and expertise in various fields of
science. However, he only concentrates to the circumference of traditional
knowledge (al-'ulum an-naqliyyah), especially in the field of hadith. Interest
of as-Suyuti to the history is the further implications of the Hadith tradition.
He represents traditionalist historians who survive until the Middle Ages.
Capability as a historian is seen in some of the works he writes, including
the historical books, especially prosopography literature like Tarikh al-
Khulafa’, Bugyat al-Wu’at, Husn al-Muhadarah, and literature that talks
about the history of science as asy-Syamarikh fi ‘Ilm at-Tarikh. Second, the
pattern of criticism is one of the main characteristics in the explanation of
history of as-Suyuti in presenting the material in the book of history Tarikh
al-Khulafa’. Polarization between positive and negative in turn becomes a
very common thing in the explanation of historical narratives as-Suyuti.
Nevertheless, ‘criticism’ in this context should be positioned in the frame of
epistemology traditionalist genealogically relying on ethos of the experts of
hadith (muhadditsin). In this case, he applies a person's spiritual and moral
credibility (‘adalah) as benchmarks in reading a caliph. This has
implications for the direction of his criticism that is likely to only see
morality and ignore the political domain. Explanation of history in this
model is a history of pragmatism that he wants a leader in the level of which
is ideal. Consequently, he builds the characteristics of historiography which
contains elements of the history of creation. The element is the use of the
verses of the Qur’an and hadith texts which impact on the legitimacy of
particular ideas about history. In addition, the projection into the past
history (flash back history) by comparing the ideal figure from another time
shows the importance of building the idealization of a character.
Furthermore, the use of mythical elements, such as natural occurrences
which are not seen as independent events but seen as an event that
legitimizes a historical event, also helps establish the credibility of a
character.
This study concludes that the capacity of the as-Suyuti as a
historian-traditionalist has implications for the historical perception that he
builds. Explanation of history in Tarikh al-Khulafa’ seems to be referring to
‘a past’, not ‘the past’ itself, in the sense that his historical explanation
wishes to show an ideal history of the Islamic rulers. As a consequence,
some of the historiographical characteristics also contain an element of the
history of creation
Framing the Jurist: The Legal Persona of Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti
Ph.D.This research looks at attempts by the Egyptian polymath Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti (d. 1505) to frame his authority as a jurist in his legal writings. The research aims to access the multi-faceted legal persona that the author constructs through his use of the written word. I suggest that al-Suyuti seeks to assert his authority as a superior scholar at a time in which claims to practice independent legal reasoning (ijtihad) were often met with hostility by members of the scholarly community. Each chapter is intended to analyze in detail a different aspect of al-Suyuti's legal persona as well as a different rhetorical strategy that the author uses to establish, defend, and maintain his authority. The texts examined as case studies include: a legal opinion (fatwa) concerning scholarly stipends funded by `public' endowments, a fatwa condemning the study of logic, independent treatises and sections of the author's autobiography dealing with the concepts of ijtihad and tajdid (religious renewal), and a book on legal precepts (qawa`id).I assume that the author's choice of form and genre is deliberate and that his use of language speaks to his pragmatic goals. In order to claim the rank of mujtahid (jurist capable of independent reasoning) and mujaddid (renewer of religion), al-Suyuti must speak and act as such. To understand how al-Suyuti uses language to accomplish these goals, I incorporate into my analysis theories and methodological tools from the realm of sociolinguistics, including framing techniques, interdiscursivity, communities of practice, critical discourse analysis, and pragmatics. Sociolinguistic theories are a valuable means with which to understand not only what the author wishes to convey but also how he says it and why he chooses to say it in the way that he does. Finally, this research allows me to evaluate, to some degree, the relative effectiveness of al-Suyuti's efforts to frame his persona as a jurist and to negotiate this identity in the world through practice. I conclude that, while al-Suyuti's framing effort may have failed to convince most of his contemporaries, he is vindicated by the continuing legacy of his works
Validity Of Hadith Ru‘yah ‘Al-Ṣādiqah: Implementation of Hadith Exegesis in the Encounter of Sufi Order Guides with Prophet Muhammad SAW through Dreams
This article examines the significance of the Qur'an and Hadith as fundamental sources of Islamic teachings, focusing specifically on the concept of ru‘yah ‘al-ṣādiqah (true dream) within the context of Sufi orders. The Hadith, serving as an explanation of the Qur'an, plays a critical role in comprehensively understanding Islamic teachings. This research particularly highlights the importance of syarḥ al-ḥadiṡ bi al-ḥadiṡ, the practice of interpreting one Hadith with another, to understand the concept of ru‘yah ‘al-ṣādiqah. In the realm of Sufi orders, ru‘yah ‘al-ṣādiqah is interpreted as a meeting with Prophet Muhammad SAW in a dream, a prerequisite for a mursyid (spiritual guide) to authorize the practice of Sufi order rituals to their disciples. The continuity of sanad (the teaching chain) from a mursyid to the Prophet is considered evidence of authenticity and blessing. The Forum Bahsul Masail Multaqa Sufi Ṭariqiyah al-Alami al-Rābi’ affirmed that meeting the Prophet through dreams or in a conscious state is a requirement for a Sufi order mursyid. The experience of waliyullah dreaming of meeting Prophet Muhammad SAW is acknowledged as a truth and a requisite for a Sufi order mursyid. This emphasizes the presence of ittiṣāl al-sanad (connectivity of the teaching chain) within the Sufi order domain. This study hypothesizes that accurate understanding of the Hadith ru‘yah ‘al-ṣādiqah and the encounters of the Prophet with mursyid through dreams are key in validating the practices and teachings within Sufi orders
ANALISA ASBAB AL-NUZUL AL-WAHIDI DAN AL-SUYUTI Pada Al-Nur 3 dan Al-Furqan 68-70
Asbab al-nuzul is one important instrument to holistically understand Qur’an verses. This study was intended to recognize the character of asbab al-nuzul by al-Wahidi and LubÄb al-NuqÅ«l by Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, as well as to elaborate the implications of asbab al-nuzul to the meaning of Al-NÅ«r 3 and Al-Furqan 68-70. The asbab al-nuzul history of the both books would be positioned as the initial information to be later verified and analyzed. The analized and verified history became an instrument to review the meaning of the verses in asbab al-nuzul case. The above process could simultaneously provide a preliminary view of the character of AsbÄb al-NuzÅ«l al-WÄhidÄ« and LubÄb al-NuqÅ«l Jalaluddin al-SuyÅ«á¹Ä«
