    No full text
The dynamics of talaq divorce decisions in the Banyuwangi Religious Court reflect a transformation in religious justice practice that moves from a formalistic approach to a more humanist and contextual substantive justice paradigm. This study aims to analyze how judges consider legal, moral, and social aspects in imposing talaq divorce decisions and assess the extent to which substantive justice is realized in the practice of religious justice. The method used is a descriptive-critical qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with judges and litigants, court observations, and analysis of decision documents. The results of the study show that judges at the Banyuwangi Religious Court have tried to balance juridical and religious moral considerations, although there are still inconsistencies in the determination of alimony and the implementation of mediation. In conclusion, the dynamics of talaq divorce decisions reflect a transformation towards a more humanistic, transparent, and benefit-oriented judicial paradigm. The implication is that it is necessary to strengthen the capacity of judges in the perspective of gender justice, the application of maqasid al-shari\u27ah, and the establishment of contextual legal considerations guidelines so that talaq divorce decisions are more fair, consistent, and responsive to the social needs of the communit

    No full text

Constitutional Morality and Military Necessity: The Legitimacy of Sanctions for LGBT Behavior in the Indonesian National Army

    No full text
This research examines the constitutional legitimacy of imposing sanctions on Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel engaging in LGBT conduct within the framework of Indonesia’s Pancasila legal state. While global discourses often advocate for full inclusivity, this study argues that the restriction of such rights in the Indonesian military context is constitutionally valid and strategically justified. Employing a normative legal research method with statutory, conceptual, case, and philosophical approaches, this study analyzes the intersection between human rights, public morality, and defense strategy. The findings reveal three fundamental justifications. First, Pancasila as the Grundnorm and constitutional morality positions religious values and public ethics as legitimate bases for limiting human rights, as explicitly authorized by Article 28J(2) of the 1945 Constitution. Second, under the doctrine of military necessity, the military operates as a lex specialis institution where individual liberties may be curtailed to ensure unit cohesion, command authority, and operational readiness. Third, jurisprudential evidence from military courts demonstrates that sanctions are not directed at sexual orientation as a status, but rather at specific sexual misconduct that disrupts the chain of command and institutional integrity. The study concludes that the dismissal and penalization of LGBT conduct in the TNI are not arbitrary violations of human rights, but proportional measures to uphold the nation\u27s constitutional identity and national defense requirements

ETIKA DAN RISIKO KECERDASAN ARTIFISIAL GENERATIF: IMPLIKASI DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DAN MASYARAKAT DIGITAL

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly influenced educational practices, including Islamic Religious Education (IRE), by enabling automated content creation, AI-based assessment, and adaptive learning. However, its use also raises ethical concerns related to transparency, fairness, copyright, religious misinformation, data bias, and student privacy. This article critically examines the concepts, implementation, ethical dimensions, and potential risks of generative AI in education, with particular attention to its relevance within IRE. Employing a systematic literature review of indexed academic publications, international policy reports, and ethical frameworks for AI in education, the study finds that generative AI can serve as an effective supportive technology for IRE when used responsibly and grounded in core Islamic values, including trustworthiness (amanah), justice (‘adl), honesty (ṣidq), and public interest (maṣlaḥah). The findings reaffirm the central role of IRE teachers as moral guides, interpreters of Islamic teachings, and pedagogical decision-makers, while positioning generative AI as an assistive tool that enhances learning rather than replacing the educator’s moral and spiritual authority. This study contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of ethical, inclusive, and context-sensitive policies and practices for the use of generative AI in Islamic Religious Education

ANALYSIS OF CONSTRUCTIVIST FOUNDATIONS IN THE GROUP INVESTIGATION LEARNING MODEL AND ITS RELEVANCE TO ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in the 21st century faces significant challenges in adapting to technological advancements and demands for student centered, active learning approaches. Traditional teacher centered methods remain dominant, limiting students’ opportunities to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and reflective skills. Thile existing literature has examined cooperative learning broadly, scholarship specifically analyzing the Group Investigation (GI) model’s constructivist foundations within IRE contexts remains limited. This study aims to analyze the constructivist foundations of the GI model and examine its relevance to IRE instruction. Using a qualitative library research method, this study reviewed book, journals, and academic articles from Scopus, Google Scholar, and DOAJ databases through descriptive analytical methods. The findings demonstrate that the GI represents a concrete application of social constructivism, emphasizing learners’ active roles in constructing knowledge through collaborative investigation. Most significantly, the study reveals that Islamic ethical principles such as ta’awun, ukhuwah, and musyawarah do not merely coexist with constructivist pedagogy but actively enhances learning outcomes, develops 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity), and facilitates internalization of Islamic values. Theoretically, this study demonstrates how constructivist pedagogy can be successfully integrated with Islamic education frameworks. Practically, it aligns with Kurikulum Merdeka principles promoting active, participatory, and meaningful learning

The Semboro District Office has an internet connection of up to 300 Mbps used for public services, employees, and public access. However, the absence of bandwidth management causes unstable connectivity, particularly for service-related devices, reducing service quality. This study implements the Hierarchical Token Bucket (HTB) method to manage network bandwidth. The results indicate that after HTB implementation, each user receives bandwidth according to their assigned profile without exceeding predefined limits. The initial downstream bandwidth of 23.51 Mbps decreased to 18.37 Mbps after implementation. Quality of Service (QoS) evaluation shows a score of 3.75, categorized as good. Throughput increased from 21k to 41k, delay decreased from 46.335 ms to 16.7 ms, and jitter decreased from 0.058 ms to 0.000035 ms, while packet loss remained at 0%. These results conclude that HTB implementation improves network stability

Malnutrition in Indonesia is a health problem that the government has yet to fully address. East Java\u27s achievement for stunting is 7.51%, which is above the Nutrition and MCH Program Indicator Target for stunting in 2023 of 18.4%. The prevalence of stunting in Bangkalan was 26.2% in 2022, and decreased to 10.2% in 2023. The objective is to examine the relationship between the factors that contribute to stunting in Bangkalan. The research method used correlation analysis with a cross-sectional approach, where the independent variables and dependent variables were collected at the same time. Variables are gender of infants, nutritional status of infants, history of LBW, history of maternal anemia and CED, and stunting; research sample: 398 infants with cluster sampling technique. Research instruments: observation sheets and interviews. Regression and multivariate statistical tests were used, using logistic regression. Statistical tests for gender with stunting incidence: ρ>0.05, LBW history with stunting incidence: ρ>0.05, nutritional status with stunting incidence: ρ<0.05, anemia history with stunting incidence: ρ<0.05, and CED history with stunting incidence: ρ<0.05. The gender of the young child and the history of LBW has no relationship with stunting; nutritional status, history of maternal anemia, and CED has a relationship with stunting. The most influential factors are: Nutritional Status of Toddlers, Pregnant women\u27s anemia history, the impact of sex on stunting in relation to toddlers\u27 gender, and LBW\u27s pas

Reinterpreting Problem-Based Learning in EFL Speaking Classrooms: Indonesian University Teachers’ Pedagogical Perspectives: English

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has gained prominence as a pedagogical approach for promoting learner autonomy, critical thinking, and communicative competence. However, little is known about how PBL is interpreted, adapted, and enacted by teachers in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) speaking classrooms, particularly in Indonesian higher education. This qualitative study examined Indonesian university EFL teachers’ perceptions and enactment of PBL in speaking instruction. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with five instructors from diverse institutional contexts and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that teachers did not implement PBL as a fixed instructional model but reinterpreted it as a context-sensitive, fluency-oriented pedagogy shaped by learner readiness, classroom culture, and institutional constraints. While PBL was perceived to enhance student engagement, speaking confidence, and willingness to communicate, it was primarily adapted as discussion- and task-based activities rather than sustained inquiry cycles. These adaptations reveal how teacher cognition and local educational conditions mediate global pedagogical models. By foregrounding teachers situated enactment of PBL, this study extends existing PBL theory in EFL contexts and challenges assumptions that learner-centered pedagogies transfer seamlessly across settings. The study proposes a more context-responsive understanding of PBL for EFL speaking instruction and offers implications for teacher education, curriculum design, and institutional support in similarly constrained contexts

The Vocabulary Profile in Maritime English Textbooks: A Comprehensive Content Analysis: English

This study investigated the vocabulary profile of the Maritime English (ME) textbook Effective Communication at Sea: Mastering SMCP for Maritime Safety and Efficiency (Batu, 2024). Employing a mixed-methods corpus content analysis, a 35,000-token corpus was processed through AntConc to determine lexical frequency across K1, K2, and K3 (off-list/technical) levels, alongside a qualitative semantic audit of polysemic terms and SMCP alignment. Results reveal a distinctive lexical distribution of 72.5% K1, 8.0% K2, and 19.5% K3 tokens, indicating a high technical density optimized for vocational training. Grammatical analysis shows a heavy dominance of nouns (60%) and verbs (30%), reflecting the action-oriented nature of maritime commands. The study confirmed the presence of critical polysemic shifts in high-frequency words (e.g., bridge, draft, head), where meanings deviate drastically from general English. Finally, qualitative evaluation confirms that the textbook achieves high functional integration of IMO-mandated Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP) across both internal and external communication categories. These findings establish a data-driven "70-10-20" vocabulary profile model for the design and audit of vocational maritime instructional material
