The determinants of oil price fluctuation in Malaysia / Muhammad Arham Japri
Get PDFFollowing the hiking price of oil and gas products during these recent years, several numbers of studies have been conducted in order to explain the reason behind the increase and decrease in price of oil. On the other hand, the price of oil can be one ofthe determinants of economic growth. According to past research, the increase in oil price can give negative effects to the society. However, there are some arguments suggested that the incline in oil price can improve government's finance for project development thus stabilize the economic growth. This paper investigates the factors that might have contributed to the oil price increase in addition to demand of oil, exchange rate of USD, geopolitical, tax rate and OPEC's production cost. Moreover, the objective of this paper is to determine whether there are relationship between those variables are with the oil price movement in Malaysia. Basically, the data used in this research paper was collected from the secondary data which is the data gathered from past scholars and researchers for other objectives. The data mainly recovered by using Worldbank Databank, Malaysian Economic Statistic and Energy Commission Malaysia Energy Information Hub. This research uses data obtained from one country, Malaysia across 31 years of observation from the year 1985 to 2015. All of the data are analysed using E-views 8.0 and are tested according to 5 assumptions namely, the Durbin-Watson test, normality test, heteroskedasticity test, correlation test and specification test. As conclusion, the results obtained in this research project are demand of oil and tax rate have significant relationships with the price of oil, while exchange rate of USD and geopolitics have no significant relationship with the price of oil in Malaysia

Penelitian ini berangkat dari latar belakang bahwa masih banyak terdapat fenomena ketidak berdayaan ditengah masyarakat, sementara di satu sisi program yang bersifat memberdayakan masyarakat telah banyak dilaksanakan, Termasuk Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH). Permasalahan penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana efektifitas pemberdayaan Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Desa Ujung Batu Kecamatan Sosa, Kabupaten Padang Lawas. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui sejauh mana efektifitas pemberdayaan Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Desa Ujung Batu Kecamatan Sosa, Kabupaten Padang Lawas. Adapun konsep teori dalam penelitan tentang Indikator efektifitas Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) yaitu menurut Rizal Khadafi dan Dyah Mutiarin. Metodologi penelitian mencakup jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknis analisis data melalui klasifikasi data, reduksi data, dan penarikan kesimpilan. Penyajian data dalam bentuk naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas pemberdayaan Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) di Desa Ujung Batu Kecamatan Sosa, Kabupaten Padang Lawas. Menunjukkan bahwa bantuan PKH yang diberikan sudah tepat sasaran sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditetapkan oleh kementrian sosial. Selain itu, data menunjukkan jumlah nominal bantuan yang diberikan sudah tepat sesuai dengan prosedur. Kemudian waktu penyaluran bantuan sudah tepat. Serta data menunjukkan bahwa bantuan yang telah diberikan telah tepat penggunaannya.

Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah semua lirik lagu grup musik Efek Rumah Kaca, yang bersumber dari internet dan telepon genggam. Data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis dilakukan terhadap 9 lagu yang mengandung makna kritikan dalam lirik lagu grup musik Efek Rumah Kaca dengan cara purposif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wujud kritikan yang paling banyak digunakan dalam lirik lagu grup musik Efek Rumah Kaca ada tiga, yaitu: berwujud gaya bahasa simbolik, berwujud gaya bahasa repetisi, dan berwujud gaya bahasa hiperbola. Makna kritikan yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu grup musik Efek Rumah Kaca yaitu: kritikan mengenai politik, kritikan mengenai kesenjangan sosial, kritikan mengenai masalah kemanusiaan, dan kritikan mengenai keagamaan.ABSTRACTMUHAMMAD ARHAM RIO. The analysis was conducted on 9 songs containing the meaning of criticism in the lyrics of the Efek Rumah Kaca music group's song Purposif.The results showed that the most widely used form of criticism in the lyrics to the Efek Rumah Kaca music group's song of are three, namely: Intangible style of language, tangible style of repetition, and tangible hyperbola language style. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
