    Majunya teknologi dan arus informasi membuat masyarakat Indonesia lebih terbuka pada pengetahuan global. Sehingga tak dapat dipungkiri bahwa trend mode di Indonesia saat ini dalam perkembangan. Termasuk dengan trend mode dengan menggunakan material alam. Karung goni mendapat peran penting pada industri perkebunan. Seiring perkembangan zaman, material rami atau goni mengalami penurunan sehingga Indonesia sudah tidak memproduksi rami atau goni lagi. Dengan adanya permasalahan ini, perlu dilakukan tindakan untuk memunculkan kembali minat masyarakat terhadap goni yaitu dengan cara membuat rami atau goni menjadi produk fesyen. Metode yang digunakan penulis untuk meningkatkan minat masyarakat yaitu dengan pewarna alam dan teknik jahit smock. Konsep yang digunakan sebagai acuan yaitu Earthy Natural. Dari konsep ini, penulis mencoba untuk menggabungkan antara produk fesyen dan apparel seperti goni dengan pewarna alam dan material alam lainnya sebagai suatu produk inovasi yang cukup menarik dan tentunya dapat membuat potensi bisnis baru bila terus menerus dilakukan inovasi terhadap produk tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi suatu peluang di bidang fashion dan apparel. ================================================================================================================================ The advancement of technology and information flow makes Indonesian people more open to global knowledge. So it cannot be denied that the fashion trends in Indonesia are currently in development. Including the fashion trends using natural materials. Gunny sacks play an important role in the plantation industry. Along with the times, hemp or jute material has decreased so that Indonesia no longer produces jute or jute. With this problem, action needs to be taken to bring back people's interest in jute by making jute or jute into fashion products. The method used by the author to increase public interest is natural dyes and smock sewing techniques. The concept used as a reference is Earthy Natural. From this concept, the author tries to combine fashion and apparel products such as burlap with natural dyes and other natural materials as a product of innovation that is quite interesting and certainly can create new business potential if continuous innovation is made to the product.     Pengembangan Material Bio-Komposit Serat Goni Sebagai Produk Home Decor

    Penggunaan material serat alam sebagai material komposit telah dikembangkan beberapa tahun belakangan ini. Serat goni merupakan serat yang di dapatkan dari tanaman Corchorus capsularis yang banyak ditemukan tumbuh di daerah tropis. Penggunaan serat ini di Indonesia masih belum digunakan dengan maksimal, masyarakat Indonesia kebanyakan hanya menggunakannya sebagai karung. Perancangan ini diawali dengan eksperimen pengolahan serat goni menjadi material bio-komposit untuk mencari berbagai karakteristik material untuk diaplikasikan pada produk seperti otomotif, furnitur dan home décor. Keunikan tekstur, bentuk, kekuatan dari material bio-komposit serat goni ini kemudian membuat penulis mengaplikasikan material ini menjadi produk home décor lampu dengan studi kasus pengaplikasian produk pada coffee shop. Pada perancangan ini, penulis melakukan eksplorasi material lembaran serat goni dan eksplorasi bentuk pada home décor lampu untuk menargetkan pasar kuliner coffee shop yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia. Pengembangan produk ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai jual dari serat goni dan pengembangkan serat goni menjadi produk hi-craft yang bermanfaat. ===================================================================================================== The use of natural fiber materials as composite materials has been developed in recent years. Jute fiber is a fiber obtained from the Corchorus capsularis plant which is widely found growing in tropical areas. The use of this fiber in Indonesia is still not fully utilized, most Indonesians only use it as a sack. The design begins with an experiment in processing jute fibers into bio-composite materials to find various material characteristics to be applied to products such as automotive, furniture and home decor. The uniqueness of the texture, shape, strength of the jute fiber bio-composite material then made the authors apply this material to a home décor lamp product with a case study of product application in a coffee shop. In this research, the author explores the material for jute fiber sheets and explores the shape of the lamp home decor to target the growing coffee shop culinary market in Indonesia. The development of this product is expected to increase the selling value of jute fiber and develop jute fiber into useful hi-craft products

    Dunia industri saat ini sedang mengembangkan teknologi bahan karena menjadi faktor utama dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan bahan dengan karakteristik tertentu. Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi, maka saat ini telah banyak digunakan dari bahan komposit dengan serat alam. Tidak hanya itu serat alam dianggap sebagai bahan yang ecofriendly, dapat diperbarui, tidak abrasive, memiliki ketahanan yang presisi dan proses pengerjaan yang mudahMenurut Maya (2018) produksi bahan berbasis serat 100% alami sebagai pengganti produk berbasis minyak bumi bukanlah solusi yang ekonomis. Solusi yang lebih layak adalah menggabungkan sumber daya minyak bumi dan sumber daya hayati untuk mengembangkan produk yang hemat biaya dengan aplikasi yang beragam. Pada penilitian ini akan menggunakan kain goni dari serat jute dan serat fiberglass dengan matriks epoksi. Variasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah urutan penumpukan dari lapisan komposit hybrid kain goni (G) dan fiberglass (F). Terdapat 3 variasi lapisan yang digunakan penelitian ini, pada variasi pertama terdapat 5 lapis Kain goni dengan urutan penumpukan G-G-G-G-G; variasi kedua terdapat 3 lapis kain goni dan 2 lapis serat fiberglass dengan urutan penumpukan F-G-G-G-F; variasi ketiga terdapat 3 lapis serat fiberglass dan 2 lapis kain goni dengan urutan penumpukan G-F-F-F-G. Orientasi sudut pada kedua material yang digunakan pada penilitian ini dengan arah sudut 0°/90°. Setelah dilakukan pengujian tarik didapatkan nilai sebagai berikut dengan variasi goni untuk nilai kekuatan tarik sebesar 57,27 Mpa, kekuatan yield sebesar 42,8 Mpa, dan modulus elastisitas sebesar 1933,37 Mpa. Variasi fiberglass-goni untuk nilai kekuatan tarik sebesar 81,54 Mpa, kekuatan yield sebesar 73,23 Mpa, dan modulus elastisitas sebesar 2346,18 Mpa. Variasi goni – fiberglass untuk nilai kekuatan tarik sebesar 117,04 Mpa, kekuatan yield sebesar 97,59 Mpa, dan modulus elastisitas sebesar 3322,63 Mpa ==================================================================================================================================== The industrial world is currently developing material technology because it is a major factor in meeting the needs of materials with certain characteristics. Along with technological advances, it is now widely used of composite materials with natural fibers. Not only that, natural fibers are considered as materials that are environmentally friendly, renewable, non-abrasive, have precise resistance and easy processing.. According to Maya (2018) the production of 100% natural fiber based materials as a substitute for petroleum-based products is not an economical solution. A more feasible solution is to combine petroleum and biological resources to develop cost-effective products with diverse applications. In this research, jute fiber and fiberglass fibers with an epoxy matrix will be used. The variation used in this study is the stacking sequence of the hybrid composite layers of hessian cloth (G) and fiberglass (F). There are 3 variations of layers used in this study, in the first variation there are 5 layers of burlap with the stacking sequence G-G-G-G-G; the second variation has 3 layers of burlap and 2 layers of fiberglass fibers in the stacking order F-G-G-G-F; The third variation has 3 layers of fiberglass and 2 layers of burlap with the stacking sequence G-F-F-F-G. The angular orientation of the two materials used in this research is at an angle of 0°/90°. After the tensile test was carried out, the following values were obtained with jute variations for a tensile strength value is 57.27 MPa, a yield strength is 42.8 MPa, and a modulus of elasticity is 1933.37 MPa. The fiberglass-jute variation for a tensile strength value is 81.54 Mpa, a yield strength is 73.23 Mpa, and a modulus of elasticity is 2346.18 Mpa.     The floodgates at the Pasar IX dividing building Sei Bingai Subdistrict Tampa Goni Langkat Regency North Sumatra Province irrigates downstream one-door irrigation channels to irrigate the water reservoirs into rice fields with the problem of lack of control of the floodgates in the divider building well due to the distance of the building responsible for, lack of the resources that guard the flood gates, and the lack of knowledge of the residents in controlling the flood gates in getting the height and water discharge that is in accordance with the needs of paddy fields. The building has 5 sluice gates which are 4 sluice gates directly into the irrigation channel and 1 sluice gate leading to a paddy field with a 4.24 m /s discharge manually, from a paddy sluice having 3 sluice sluice gates out 1.25 m 3 /s. The scope of this study is to control floodgates to get the height and flow of water holding rice fields in the building dividers aimed at knowing how to control water in the building for manually becoming automatic discharge that comes out 5.29 m 3 /s which with the benefit of helping the person in charge of the building for and community in controlling the floodgates to the rice fields. Theoretical description supports the method in controlling floodgates with buoys including water discharge, buoy volume, buoy lift force, buoy tumbling force and gear to solve the problem of poorly controlled water discharge according to the needs of paddy fields.

    Pengaruh Variasi Fraksi Massa Komposit Hibrid Serat Goni/E-Glass Terhadap Kekuatan Tarik Dan Kekuatan Bending

    Material komposit menjadi pilihan utama dalam berbagai sektor industri karena keunggulannya yang ringan, tahan korosi, dan memiliki kekuatan mekanik tinggi dibanding logam konvensional. Salah satu pengembangan komposit adalah pemanfaatan serat alami dan serat sintetis dalam pembuatan komposit hibrid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi fraksi massa komposit hibrid serat goni/e-glass terhadap kekuatan tarik dan kekuatan bending. Spesimen dibuat menggunakan metode hand lay up dengan variasi fraksi massa serat goni/e-glass yaitu A (19%:11%), B (12%:18%), C (15%:15%), dan D (23%:7%). Uji tarik dan bending dilakukan masing-masing sesuai standar ASTM D638 dan D790. Hasil pengujian tarik menunjukkan bahwa spesimen B memiliki nilai tegangan tarik dan modulus elastisitas tertinggi sebesar 117,199 MPa dan 3881,312 MPa, namun memiliki regangan tarik yang lebih rendah yang menandakan sifat material tersebut lebih getas. Sementara itu, hasil uji bending menunjukkan bahwa spesimen A menghasilkan tegangan bending dan modulus elastisitas bending tertinggi sebesar 41,106 MPa dan 689,987 MPa. Analisis makro mengungkapkan adanya kegagalan delaminasi, fiber breaking, void, dan deformasi pada patahan spesimen. Semua spesimen telah memenuhi standar minimal kekuatan tarik untuk bahan outer helm SNI. Secara keseluruhan, komposisi fraksi massa serat dan penempatan susunan serat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sifat mekanik komposit hibrid ini

Гоні   Харківський національний медичний університет Кафедра хірургії №2, Харків   Резюме В статті оцінені рівні прямих та опосередкованих показників ендотеліальної дисфункції (ендотелін-1, VEGF, фібриногену та С-реактивний білок) у 29 хворих на хронічну критичну ішемію нижніх кінцівок з дистальною формою ураження судинного русла у віці від 59 до 84 років. Хворі були обох статей, з них 12 (41,4%) - хворі на облітеруючий атеросклероз та ЦД. Goni   Kharkiv National Medical University, Ministry of Health of Ukraine , Department of Surgery № 2   Abstract This article shows the results of determination of levels of direct and indirect indicators of endothelial dysfunction (ET1, VEGF, fibrinogen and CRP) in 29 patients with chronic critical limb ischemia with distal type of lesion of the vascular bed, aged from 59 to 84 years. Patients were of both sexes, of which 12 (41.4%) - patients with atherosclerosis and diabetes. It is shown that regardless of the stage of ischemia and the presence of diabetes in patients who were investigated, breach of vasomotor endothelial function (according to the level of endothelin-1), increased proliferative activity of endothelium (according to the level of VEGF), a violation of hemostatic (according to the level of fibrinogen) and proinflammatory endothelial function (based on C-reactive protein) was shown. Изучена эффективность различных видов кожной пластики при различных локализациях лучевых язв. Больные, получившие оперативное лечение (n=10) были разделены по типу пластики на две группы: пластика местными тканями (3 больных, 30%), и пластика кожным лоскутом: свободная кожная пластика (2 больных, 20%) и кожная пластика полнослойным лоскутом с осевым кровообращением (5 больных, 50%). Локализация лучевых язв – грудная клетка, голова, голень и крестцовая область. Размеры язв колебались от 2 до 9 см. Alexandrov Kharkov National Medical University, Ukraine Department of Surgery №2 Abstract The term "critical ischemia of extremities" (critical limb ischemia) was first introduced by P.R.F. Bell in 1982 to refer to a group of diseases accompanied by pain in the legs at rest, trophic ulcers and distal necroses of the lower limbs. Critical ischemia of the lower limbs is a condition of almost complete cessation of arterial blood flow to the tissues of the lower limbs. If the arterial blood supply is not improved, limb amputation becomes inevitable for all patients. Treatment of ischemia of the lower extremities should be complex and differentiated depending on the stage and features of the course of the disease. Modern approaches to the therapy of lower limb ischemia include conservative and surgical methods of treatment, all of which are aimed at improving blood flow in the affected limbs. In the article modern methods of stimulating angiogenesis in patients with lower limb ischemia and results are shown.     A break in neoliberal ideology? : A critical analysis of Bolivian elite discourse

    Im Dezember 2005, gewannen Evo Morales und seine Partei, die Bewegung zum Sozialismus (MAS), mit über 50 Prozent der Stimmen die Wahlen in Bolivien. Dieses war das stärkste Wahlergebnis einer Partei seit Einführung der Demokratie 1982. Morales wurde im Januar 2006 als der zweite indigene Präsident Lateinamerikas eingeweiht. Die Einweihungszeremonie war gleichzeitig ein Triumph der anti-neoliberalen Bewegung Boliviens, welche im Wasserkrieg im Jahr 2000 und im Steuer- und Gaskrieg im Jahr 2003 ihren Höhepunkt erreichte. Morales und MAS unterstützten die sogenannten Neoliberalen Kriege. Der Sieg der MAS und von Morales in den Wahlen regt Spekulationen an, dass der Neoliberale Konsens in der Elite, der Bolivien zwei Jahrzehnte lang regierte, gebrochen ist. Die Frage nach einem Konsenswechsel ergibt sich nicht nur von Morales’ und MAS Partizipation in den Neoliberalen Kriegen, sondern auch weil die MAS viele Forderungen der Proteste 2000 und 2003 in ihr Parteiprogramm aufgenommen haben. Während sich Morales’ anti-neoliberale Denkweisen offensichtlich in der bolivianischen Bevölkerung großer Beliebtheit erfreuen, ist es nicht erwiesen, dass sich diese Popularität auf die Elite des Landes erstreckt. Der potentielle Konsensbruch bezüglich des Neoliberalismus in der Elite entstand jedoch nicht von ungefähr. Im Gegenteil: er baute sich über die gesamte Geschichte Boliviens hinweg auf und wurde von den Rahmenbedingungen im Land begünstigt. Mit Hilfe der kritischen Theorie von Antonio Gramsci und Robert W. Cox, welche in Kapitel 2 vorgestellt wird, erforscht diese Magisterarbeit ob der Neoliberale Konsens in der Bolivianischen Elite gebrochen ist. Mit Unterstützung des Konzeptes, dass Geschichte und Produktionsbeziehungen Gesellschaften und die Gegebenheiten in ihnen den hegemonialen Diskurs formen, stellt diese Arbeit in den Kapiteln 3 Boliviens Geschichte bis dato dar und bespricht in Kapitel 4 wichtige Themen der aktuellen Bolivianischen Politik und Wirtschaft. Die Umsetzung der neoliberalen Ideologie und Richtlinien in Bolivien wurde von den USA, den hegemonialen Institutionen (der Internationalen Währungsfond und der Weltbank) sowie der sich in der Regierung abwechselnden Elite propagiert und implementiert. Die neoliberalen Programme der 1980er und 1990er wurden trotz bitteren Protesten seitens der Bevölkerung beibehalten, die sich gegen die negativen Konsequenzen der Programme wehrten. Da die kritischen Theorie Konflikte als Mechanismen sieht, die Machtverhältnisse verändern und einen Hegemon/ein hegemoniales System stürzen können, werden auch die Neoliberalen Kriege Boliviens besprochen. Insbesondere im Steuer und Gaskrieg 2003 baute sich ein anti-hegemonialer Diskurs auf. Dieser Konflikt, in dem die MAS mitagierte, wird besonders begutachtet weil er den Präsidenten Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada (der neoliberale Kopf Boliviens) stürzte. Auf diesen Erkenntnissen basierend, wird in Kapitel 5 die Zeitungsanalyse vorgestellt. Diese wurde in zwei Zeiträumen vorgenommen: 2. bis 19. Oktober 2003 und 22. Januar bis 19. Februar 2006 (erster Monat der MAS-Regierung). Es wurden drei Zeitungen analysiert, welche je eine politische Strömung in der Bolivianischen Elite repräsentieren (La Prensa, konservative Tageszeitung; La Epoca, moderate Wochenzeitung, El Juguete Rabioso, ein alle zwei Wochen erscheinende linke Zeitung). Die Befunde der Zeitungsanalyse zeigten, dass die Bolivianische Elite sich sowohl gegen die anti-neoliberale Politik der MAS wendet, aber auch den Neoliberalismus und die Internationalen Finanzinstitutionen den Rücken gekehrt hat. Sie bewies auch, dass die Elite im Jahr 2003 erneut die Massen zu ihrem eigenen Vorteil missbrauchten, in dem sie ihre Wut, die gegen die Privatisierung der Gas Reserven gerichtet war, auf den regierenden Präsidenten (Sanchez de Lozada) umlenkten. Insofern zeigte die Zeitungsanalyse auch, dass ohne die Zustimmung der Elite in Bolivien ein friedlicher Systemwechsel unwahrscheinlich ist. Wie im Endfazit (Kapitel 6) beschrieben wird, hofft die bolivianische Elite, dass sich die MAS und Morales in inner- bzw. zwischen-parteilichen Scharmützeln verfängt, damit sich in der Zwischenzeit eine Alternative zwischen anti-hegemonialen und hegemonialem Diskurs findet, welche den Reichtum und die Macht der Elite erhält. Dies dürfte sich als schwierig erweisen, weil die politische Mitte Boliviens leer steht

    The Effect of Graphic Organizers and Instructional Scaffolding on Argumentative Writing Performance Among TESL Undergraduates

    The present study investigated the effect of graphic organizers and instructional scaffolding on argumentative writing performance among TESL undergraduates. The study employed a quasi-experimental research using the pre-test and post-test design involving 90 TESL undergraduates being placed equally in three different groups underwent lessons on argumentative essay writing using different delivery modes, modes comprising of four stages of learning for a duration of four weeks. During the intervention period, three small groups of TESL undergraduates from the GOIS and GONI delivery modes were video-recorded to investigate on how they communicate in their groups. After the intervention, a semi-structured interview was carried out. A total of 9 students (GOIS, n=3; GONI, n=3; NGNI, n=3) were interviewed and the interviews were audio-recorded. The one-way ANCOVA was used to analyse the argumentative writing performance among the TESL undergraduates. The percentages were used to compare the overall percentages of Comm between the GOIS and GONI delivery modes while the qualitative data from the semi-structured interview of the three delivery modes were analysed using the constant comparative approach. Results showed that the group which underwent the GOIS delivery mode performed significantly better in the overall argumentative essay writing performance (p<.05) compared to their counterparts in the GONI and NGNI delivery modes. Additionally, in terms of the overall frequency of conjunctions and overall frequency of argumentative elements, the results indicated that both the GOIS and GONI groups performed significantly better (p<.05) than the NGNI group. In terms of overall percentages of , the GONI group outperformed the GOIS group. The findings from the semi-structured interview revealed that the GOIS group experienced learning better compared to the GONI and NGNI groups. The research confirmed that the GOIS and GONI delivery modes are effective in enhancing argumentative writing performance among TESL undergraduates. In line with this, the research ends with a recommendation for educators to adopt these delivery modes in t argumentative writing skills are enhanced. (Abstract by Author
