Evaluation of virtual desktop infrastructure using user workload simulator / Muhammad Fadhli Mohd Nadzri
Numerous of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution available in market has invokes a reason to evaluate and compare those VDI solutions. One of important component for VDI is VDI host. Therefore, it is important to use an efficient VDI host. In this thesis, a VDI host evaluation is done by using three metric that is Virtual Machine (VM) density, IOPS (Input/output Operation per Second) consumption, and network bandwidth utilization. Two tools have been developed in order to evaluate the VDI host that is User Workload Simulator and VDI Host Evaluator. User Workload Simulator use to do user workload test, while VDI Host Evaluator will processed and evaluate the collected data from the test to indicate which VDI host is better between two VDI host. User workload categorized into four profiles which is light, medium, heavy and multimedia user profiles. User Workload Simulator will run the test based on those profiles. While user workload test is running, utilization data of VM resource will be collected by Performance Monitor. The test done on two VDI host, that are VDI A host and VDI B host. The collected data from both VDI host will produce estimated VM density, IOPS consumption and network bandwidth utilization per host. By using VDI Host Evaluator, the three VDI host metric mention previously will be compared and evaluated. VDI Host Evaluator will indicate which VDI host is better after done evaluating those three metrics
Impact of macroeconomic variables on financial performance of unit trust in Malaysia / Muhammad Fadhli Abdullah
Unit trust fund has been growing exponentially since 2007. This paper investigates the relationship between unit trust's net asset value (NAV) growth as the focus variable along with other control variables such as, Brent oil prices, Malaysia Interest Rate, USD/MYR exchange rate and inflation rate. Revealing the relationship will give us the right steps to build a stable index. This research presents a study of unit trust performance from the year 2000 to the year 2020. The whole year that has been observed for this research is twenty years. Moreover, this research uses secondary sources, and the data and information have been obtained via databases, other publications, and articles. All of the information gathered came from Google Scholar, Trading Economic, and Investing.com. In addition, the study employs descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, F-test, T-test, multicollinearity test and coefficient of determination (R2) to determine whether the independent variables are significant or insignificant towards the Malaysia unit trust performance. Therefore, it is concluded that the most important factors affecting the performance of unit trusts are the exchange rate, inflation rate and Brent crude price. This index is unaffected by interest rates in Malaysia
Development of vehicle counting system by using background subtraction technique / Muhammad Fadhli Md Azemin
In modern era, traffic congestion is a serious issue in the urban area due to increasing number of vehicles. Vehicle classification and counting has been voice require issue of intelligent traffic control system (ITS). Before this, the conventional method counting vehicles is based on manually counting using a worker. However, this method requires a lot of time and energy to human beside that they are expensive to operational costs and that system is only count. This paper proposed the video processing techniques with artificial intelligent (AI) as an alternative for identification, classification and counting the vehicles. The objective on this research is to test and analyses the best technique on vehicle detection and identify the classification technique to detect vehicle efficiency. Although the various researches have been done in this area and many methods have been implemented, still the area has room for improvement. With a view to improvement, it is proposed to develop a unique algorithm for vehicle classification and counting using Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) and blob analysis method. Training image labeler is used to training the data images. The process is developed and implemented using MATLAB. The final counting is done by tracking the detected object. The result encouraging and the system got 82.05% and 72.81% on both of video in terms of accuracy in classification and counting using the Gaussian mixture model and blob analysis. The system can used to assisting the city management to do the statistic and prediction the rate of traffic congestion

The comparison of efficiency between conventional sickle and inertial sickle: case study at Felcra Bukit Sedanan Berhad / Muhammad Fadhli Ahmad
Oil palm tree also known as Elaeis guineensis was originated from the West Africa. In Malaysia, Malaysian’s agriculture sector helping grower and processor to ease inflation by growing GDP of oil palm sector. After that, it also want to increase the performance in downstream industries such as food and edible oil processing (Kuncinas, P., 2017). In oil palm harvesting process, chisel and sickle is the main equipment. Nowadays, there are so many improvement of sickles has been done to make harvesting process easier. One of innovation has been done by UiTM which is inertial sickle. To prove inertial sickle is efficient than conventional sickle, this study was done to know about the efficiency for inertial sickle and to compare the efficiency using conventional sickle and inertial sickle. The data collection methods
used in this study are face to face interview and experimental data. Experimental data was taken by using Polar RS800CX to get data of time, energy (K cal), average of heart rate (bpm) and numbers of heartbeat (beats) for workers at Felcra. The samples of worker is 13 persons total number of workers. The oil palm trees used in this study are having the average age of 10 years old. As the results were analyzed, it showed that there is a significant difference in the performance of inertial sickle and conventional sickle in term of time, average of heart rate and numbers of heartbeat because mean of inertial sickle was lesser compared conventional sickle. It showed that the performance of inertial sickle is better compared to conventional sickle. From the study, it can be conclude that the inertial sickle is far better in terms of performance but it is recommended that there are some improvements on the sickle need to be done especially in the blade aspects and spring cover
