    In Search of Quality Human Resources in Education: Professional Competency, Compensation, Working Climate, and Motivation toward Vocational Teachers' Performance

    This study aimed to find out the effect of professional competency, compensation, working climate, and motivation on the performance of vocational teachers in Muaro Jambi Regency. The data were collected through an empirically validated questionnaire from 212 respondents. The variables consisted of professional teacher competency (X1), compensation (X2), and working climate (X3), and one moderator variable; motivation (Y), and one bound variable; teacher performance (Z). Descriptive and inferential analysis technique was used to analyze the data through SPSS and Smart PLS 3.2.7 applications. The results of descriptive analysis illustrated that teacher performance, teacher professional competency, working climate and working motivation in the very high category. At the same time, compensation fell into the good category. The statistical analysis results revealed that teacher professional competency, compensation, and working climate affected teacher working motivation, while professional teacher competency, working climate, and motivation involved teacher performance. Compensation was predicted not to affect teacher performance where P-Value 0.810 was greater than 0.05. Teacher professional competency, compensation, and working climate affected teacher performance through motivation as moderator variables to teacher performance. Professional teacher competency, compensation, and working climate were predicted to have a simultaneous effect on teacher working motivation. Professional teacher competency, compensation, working climate, and motivation were predicted to have a simultaneous effect on teacher performance. It is recommended that vocational school teachers in Muaro Jambi regency improve their performance for better student learning achievement

    This study aims to determine how the leadership style applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency in motivating employees on the rehabilitation activities of narcotics abusers in the Primary clinic and to determine the impact of the leadership style that has been applied by the head of the National Narcotics Agency on employees’ performance. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design, where researchers go directly to the field and socialize with employees and leaders, so the researchers know more deeply about the leadership style of the head of the National Narcotics Agency of the Regency (BNNK) of Batanghari in motivating employees. The leadership style in BNNK Batanghari in improving the employee’s performance is categorized in democratic, charismatic and autocratic. Democratic leadership style and charismatic leadership style are the dominant leadership styles that are applied by the head of BNNK Batanghari. While the autocratic style is only adapted to the situation, the democratic leadership style can be seen by the head of the BNNK opens space for subordinates to submit criticisms and suggestions in making decisions and supports subordinates to develop their potential. Charismatic leadership style is known that the head of the National Narcotics Agency has become a good role model for subordinates to become an admired person. The autocratic leadership style encourages subordinates to discipline in working and completing the work on time. These findings suggest that a leader should maintain what has been achieved, so that the performance of leaders and employees can drive BNNK institutions to be a greater institution. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN dalam memotivasi karyawan pada kegiatan rehabilitasi penyalahguna narkotika di klinik Pratama serta untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan dari gaya kepemimpinan yang telah diterapkan kepala BNN terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Dimana peneliti terjun langsung ke lapangan dan bersosialisasi dengan karyawan dan pimpinan, agar peneliti mengetahui secara lebih mendalam tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam memotivasi karyawan. Gaya kepemimpinan kepala BNNK Batanghari dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai adalah gaya kepemimpinan, demokratis, kharismatis dan otokratis. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik merupakan gaya kepemimpinan yang dominan yang diterapkan oleh kepala BNN. Sedangkan gaya otokratis hanya disesuaikan dengan situasi yang ada. Gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dapat dilihat bahwa kepala BNN membuka ruang bagi bawahan untuk menyampaikan kritik dan saran dalam membuat keputusan serta mendukung bawahan untuk mengembangkan potensi. Gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik diketahui bahwa kepala BNN menjadi teladan yang baik bagi bawahan sehingga menjadi orang yang dikagumi. Sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan otokratis mendorong bawahan untuk disiplin dalam bekerja dan menyelesaikan pekerjaan tepat waktu. Dari temuan tersebut menyarankan agar seorang pemimpin hendaklah mempertahankan apa yang sudah dicapai saat ini sehingga prestasi kerja pimpinan dan karyawan dapat membawa institusi BNN lebih maju

    The purpose of this research: (1) To know the description of job rotation, job satisfaction and employee performance at the Jambi Provincial Transportation Department. (2) To know the effect of job rotation on employee performance at the Jambi Provincial Transportation Department. (3) To know the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance at the Department of Transportation of Jambi Province. (4) To know the influence between job rotation and job satisfaction on employee performance at the Department of Transportation of Jambi Province.The method of this research is descriptive and quantitative and using regresion method. The population in the study were the employees of the Jambi Provincial Transportation Department. Technique of sampling research using of stratified sampling. The total sample in this study was 123 respondents.The result of the research shows that the average level of the respondent's answer for job rotation (X1) is 74.46% and the average level of the respondent answer for job satisfaction variable (X2) is 68.52, it shows highest average respondent There is in position variable rotation (X1). The magnitude of the effect of rotation variables on the performance of employees at the Department of Transportation Jambi Province is amounted to 2,427. The amount of influence of job satisfaction on employee performance variables at the Jambi Provincial Transportation Department is 4.452. Based on the analysis that together into two independent variables of job rotation and job satisfaction have a significant effect amounted to 2.201 (X1) dan 3.308(X2) on the performance of employees at the Transportation Agency of Jambi Province.     This study discusses teachers' perceptions of the implementation of the national assessment as an evaluation tool for the education system at MIN 1 Batanghari. This study aims to: analyze teacher perceptions of the implementation of the National Assessment at MIN 1 Batanghari, identify the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the minimum competency assessment, character survey, and survey of the learning environment, identify the efforts made by teachers in the context of implementing the minimum competency assessment, character survey, and surveys of the learning environment. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, namely explaining all the results of interviews, presenting data in narrative form, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's perception of the national assessment is positive (good) this is indicated by the opinions of the teachers. Constraints in the implementation of AKM and character surveys include student factors, there are still a small number of students who are slow to operate IT and do not understand the meaning of the questions. Infrastructure factor. The obstacle in implementing the learning environment survey is that some teachers find it difficult to understand the form of questions contained in the instrument. Efforts made by teachers in implementing AKM and character surveys are with schools seeking to complete facilities and infrastructure, training students to operate computers and equipping students with discussion of questions, familiarizing daily reading literacy activities through reading activities in the library, making reading gardens and maximize the function of the reading corner. Efforts made by the teacher in the survey of the learning environment are doing exercises on how to fill out the survey

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam menigkatkan kemamuan membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus, yang mendeskripsikan temuan penelitian dari hasil eksplorasi pengumpulan data penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini ialah guru kelas rendah SDIT Cahaya Hati. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 dan 2 masih rendah selama proses pembelajaran daring dilaksanakan, hambatan yang terjadi pada proses pembelajaran daring diantaranya sulitnya guru berinteraksi secara khusus dengan siswayang mengalami kesulitan membaca strategi yang digunakan pada pembelajaran daring yaitu dengam memberikan video pembelaran yang dikirim melalui WA grup kelas,video call dan zoom.     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas pembelajaran matematika berbasis daring dan mendapatkan informasi mengenai kendala yang dialami guru selama pembelajaran matematika daring serta mengetahui strategi yang digunakan guru dalam mengatasi kendala selama pembelajaran matematika daring. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian guru kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data  dengan mereduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sudah terlihat aktivitas pembelajaran matematika berbasis daring, hal ini ditandai dengan guru melakukan kegiatan perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran, namun dalam pelaksanaannya ditemukan kendala, diantaranya jaringan internet yang tidak stabil, kurangnya pengawasan dari orang tua, paket internet yang tidak bisa dijangkau oleh semua siswa, kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam pembelajaran daring, dan kurangnya fasilitas yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Strategi yang dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kendala pembelajaran matematika daring yaitu guru maksimal dalam memberikan pelayanan pendidikan, tetapi ada beberapa kendala yang tidak bisa diatasi sendiri namun membutuhkan usaha bersama dalam mengatasinya.     The The Principals’ Strategy in Fostering the Performance of Teachers in the Driving School Program at SMA Negeri 15 Tanjung Jabung Barat

    In order to achieve the objectives of this study, the research focus is on the description of strategies implemented by principals in an effort to improve teacher performance in the driving school program. This research was conducted in the environment of SMA Negeri 15 Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province. The research methodology applied was a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological orientation. Data were obtained through observation, interview, and document analysis methods. The data analysis process includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that principals practiced various strategies to improve teacher performance, including discipline development and organizing internal training programs. The success of these strategies relies heavily on the commitment of the principal and teachers. As a leader, the principal is responsible for shifting the paradigm of Human Resources in his school to be willing to accept change, ensuring the successful implementation of the driving school program

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh Manajemen Waktu dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi terhadap Hasil Belajar pada mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi Angkatan 2018-2019 FKIP Universitas Jambi. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi Angkatan 2018-2019 yang berjumlah 160 mahasiswa dengan sampel 114 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket yang disebarkan secara online melalui google form. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Dari hasil penelitian pengaruh manajemen waktu terhadap hasil belajard diketahui nilai thitung sebesar 7.853. diketahui nilai ttabel = 1.658, karena thitung &gt; ttabel yaitu 7.853 &gt; 1.658 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa HO ditolak dan Ha diterima. (2)&nbsp;dari hasil penelitian pengaruh pemanfaatan teknologi informasi terhadap hasil belajar diketahui nilai thitung sebesar 2.278. Diketahui nilai ttabel = 1.658. Karena thitung &gt; ttabel yaitu 2,278 &gt; 1.658 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa HO ditolak dan Ha diterima (3)&nbsp;dari hasil penelitian pengaruh manajemen waktu dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi terhadap hasil belajar&nbsp;diperoleh nilai Fhitung sebesar 58.195 dan pada df1 = k -1 = 3 – 1 = 2, df2 = n – k = 62 – 2 = 60 diketahui Ftabel sebesar 3.08 sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa Fhitung &gt; Ftabel atau 58.195 &gt; 3.08 maka HO ditolak dan Ha diterima Kata kunci: Manajemen Waktu, Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi, Hasil Belajar &nbsp

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara : (1) Status sosial ekonomi terhadap kesiapan melanjutkan pendidikan profesi guru, (2) Persepsi mahasiswa tentang pendidikan profesi guru terhadap kesiapan melanjutkan pendidikan pendidikan profesi guru, (3) Status sosial ekonomi dan persepsi mahasiswa tentang pendidikan profesi guru terhadap kesiapan melanjutkan pendidikan profesi guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Ex-post Facto. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode angket. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif&nbsp; pendidikan ekonomi angkatan 2018 dan 2019. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan: (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif status sosial ekonomi terhadap kesiapan melanjutkan pendidikan profesi guru. (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif persepsi mahasiswa tentang pendidikan profesi guru. &nbsp;(3) Terdapat pengaruh status sosial ekonomi dan persepsi mahasiswa tentang pendidikan profesi guru terhadap kesiapan melanjutkan pendidikan profesi guru
