New magnetotelluric data through the boundary between the Ossa Morena and Centroiberian Zones
Get PDFThe south-western part of the Iberian Peninsula, including the southern branch of the Iberian Massif, has recently been the subject of several magnetotelluric (MT) studies. This area is made up of three different tectonic terranes: the South Portuguese Zone (SPZ), the Ossa Morena Zone (OMZ) and the Central Iberian Zone (CIZ). The boundaries between these zones are considered to be sutures, which appear as high electrical conductivity anomalies in the MT surveys. The OMZ is characterised by a conductive layer at middle-lower crustal levels. To investigate the continuity of this conductive layer into the CIZ, a new MT profile was carried out. This 75-km long ENE profile goes through the boundary between the OMZ and the CIZ. The results of a two-dimensional magnetotelluric inversion revealed a high-conductivity anomaly in the transition OMZ/CIZ (the so-called Central Unit), which is interpreted as due to interconnected graphite along shear planes. High-conductivity anomalies appeared in the middle crust of the CIZ, whose geometry and location are consistent with the conductive layer previously found in the OMZ, thus confirming the prolongation of the conductive layer into the CIZ. The top of this layer correlated spatially with a broad reflector detected by a seismic profile previously acquired in the same area. This, together with other geological and petrological evidence, points to a common origin for both features

Her father in law was a truck driver for an American company and he had to surrender several vehicles to the Taliban. They robbed his vehicle and threatened violence. Because of this danger, Morena and her family fled. Their eight-month journey included rejection in Turkey and Iran multiple times and many struggles with smugglers and police. They eventually made it to a camp in Greece.
Because Morena is pregnant, they sent her and her children to a different facility, but her husband stayed on the island. Everyone tells her she should stay put, but she wants the Greek government to help reunite her family. Depression has brought her close to suicide. Morena is shocked by the inhumanity of the separation. The police want to force her husband to forfeit his asylum rights and be deported. They are trying to keep them separated, saying that the only way for him to see his family again is to agree to be deported. No full textAunque físicamente representa una unidad geográfica indiscutible, desde el punto de vista administrativo y funcional, el espacio de Sierra Morena constituye un espacio desestructurado que, además de quedar lejos de los centros de decisión y de las zonas más dinámicas económicamente, bascula a tres Comunidades Autónomas distintas y a seis provincias.
Si a esto se une el carácter accidentado del relieve, el aislamiento de los grandes ejes de comunicación que lo atraviesan como lugar de paso, o las dificultades para los aprovechamientos agrícolas, se obtiene un mosaico de condicionantes para un modelo de poblamiento singular y para un devenir demográfico marcado por la despoblación, acentuada por la crisis de la antaño boyante actividad minera, y la materialización de notables desequilibrios estructurales que se traducen en dos procesos: el envejecimiento de la población y una marcada tendencia a la masculinización de los efectivos.
Desde el punto de vista de la dinámica demográfica, Sierra Morena no deja de acusar el desgaste vegetativo propio de un entorno donde hace décadas que el número de defunciones supera al de nacimientos y las coyunturas a las que están sujetas los movimientos migratorios, caracterizados en este entorno por la inercia de una sangría migratoria que no termina de cicatrizar. Centrándose en las últimas dos décadas, el presente trabajo pretende abordar básicamente tres cuestiones alusivas a la geografía de la población de Sierra Morena: la evolución del poblamiento, el comportamiento de la dinámica demográfica y la estructura poblacional

Get PDFIn the disciplinary field, the term procedere (from the lat. procedĕre, comp. of pro ‘ahead’ and cedĕre ‘to go’) [Treccani], effectively recalls the action of advancing, of developing, in a temporal sense, in a continuous process, proper of Representation, of decoding, interpre-tation, and analysis of Architecture. The discipline of Drawing is constantly evolving, taking advantage of cultural and technical evolution, technological innovation tools for knowledge and design, forms of organizing thought, and producing the environment. However, the word procedere (develop) also recalls the action of deriving, originating, com-ing, arising, emphasizing that experimental research and new procedural contributions draw lymph from the disciplinary tradition, which, through the language of Drawing – a code that can never be delegated –, plays a basic role. The complementarity and synergy of all the graphic-expressive methods of representation, therefore, constitute an indispensable cultural baggage that enriches the researcher and allows him to manage the instruments of knowledge as well as to govern the geometric properties that regulate space, to be able to read, communicate and divulge Architecture
