RETRACTATION The SJAR Editorial Board, following the Guide to Good Practices of Editorial CSIC and the international recommendations of editorial ethics, due to a conflict of duplicity, has agreed to formally retract the following article: Fuzzy multicriteria analysis of “Better Cotton” farmers’ adoption and experts’ recommendation on cotton pest and disease management practices (2022), by Absar M. Jiskani, Manzoor A. Abro, M. Ibrahim Khaskheli and Khadim H. Wagan. Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 20, Issue 4, e1006. https://doi.org/10.5424/sjar/2022204-18953. The retractation is based on the following: in addition to authorship and funding disputes that we cannot arbitrate, the article was submitted to two journals at the same time: Spanish Journal of Agricultural Research (SJAR) and Academia Journal of Agricultural Research (AJAR). This evidence came to light once the article was published in SJAR. The article was also published in AJAR 10(3), 042-053, March 2022: Fuzzy multi-critaria analysis of better Cotton farmers' adoption and experts' recommendation on Cotton pest and disease management practices, by Absar Mithal Jiskani, Noor Nabi Bhutto and Abdul Rehman, https://www.academiapublishing.org/journals/ajar/content/2022/Mar.htm, DOI: 10.15413/ajar.2021.0128. Currently there is neither access to the pdf nor there is any information. Only the author Absar M. Jiskani is common to both articles. Both journals indicate in their instructions the same. In the case of AJAR (https://www.academiapublishing.org/journals/ajar/policy.htm), “Authors must not submit the same work, in whole or in part, to two places of publication at the same time, or at any time while the manuscript is under review at ACADEMIA PUBLISHING”. In the case of SJAR (https://revistas.inia.es/index.php/sjar/about/submissions): “Submission of a manuscript implies the work described has not been published previously in any language (except in a book of abstracts, in the proceedings of a scientific meeting or as part of a thesis); the work is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, etc. “. When comparing the submitted version to SJAR to the article published in AJAR (pdf file supplied by the claimant), both articles present more than 80% similarity, with the abstract, tables and figures being identical. This similarity is unacceptable

Impact of Environmental Conditions on the Survival of Cryptosporidium and Giardia on Environmental Surfaces

abstract: The objective of this study was to find out the impact of environmental conditions on the survival of intestinal parasites on environmental surfaces commonly implicated in the transmission of these parasites. The study was performed by incubating Cryptosporidium and Giardia (oo)cysts on environmentally relevant surfaces such as brushed stainless steel, formica, ceramic, fabric, and skin. Parallel experiments were conducted using clean and soiled coupons incubated under three temperatures. The die-off coefficient rates (K) were calculated using first-order exponential formula. For both parasites, the fastest die-off was recorded on fabric, followed by ceramic, formica, skin, and steel. Die-off rates were directly correlated to the incubation temperatures and surface porosity. The presence of organic matter enhanced the survivability of the resting stages of test parasites. The decay rates calculated in this study can be used in models for public health decision-making process and highlights the mitigation role of hand hygiene agents in their prevention and control.View the article as published at https://www.hindawi.com/journals/ipid/2014/210385

Proof of the miracles of poetry from Surahs and Mushaf.: سورتوں ومصحف سے نظم کے اعجاز کاثبوت

The miraculous eloquence of the Qur'an has been a subject of fascination and contemplation for centuries. This paper explores the poetic marvels found within the structure and composition of Qur'anic Surahs and the Mushaf as a whole. By examining the literary harmony, rhythmic patterns, semantic coherence, and thematic connectivity among the Surahs, the research highlights how the Qur'an, without conforming to traditional Arabic poetry or prose, presents an unparalleled mode of expression. The study provides a linguistic and rhetorical analysis of selected Surahs to demonstrate how the divine text embodies a unique form of nazm (coherent order), which not only transcends literary norms but also establishes a spiritual rhythm that resonates with listeners and readers alike. The arrangement of verses, the balance of sound and meaning, the recurrence of themes, and the deliberate placement of words contribute to the inimitable nature of the Qur'anic discourse. Furthermore, the Mushaf’s compilation is shown not as a random collection but as a structured textual miracle, where thematic unity and internal connections between Surahs reflect divine wisdom. These elements serve as intrinsic proof of the Qur'an's inimitability (iʿjāz), emphasizing that the power of its language lies not just in content but in its magnificent form. This abstract thus aims to reaffirm that the Qur’an’s composition stands as an enduring literary miracle—surpassing human capacity and remaining unmatched in both depth and beauty. Keywords: Qur’an, Surahs, Mushaf, poetic structure, iʿjāz al-Qurʾān, coherence (nazm), literary miracle, rhetorical beaut
