estudio es la evaluación del despertar intraoperatorio en pacientes sometidos a
anestesia general balanceada vs anestesia total intravenosa, mediante el
cuestionario de Brice modificado por Moerman en el postoperatorio, en los
Hospitales Carlos Andrade Marín y Pablo Arturo Suarez en Julio y Agosto del
2016, METODOLOGIA: nuestra metodología está enfocada en un estudio
transversal en el que se incluyen a todos los pacientes que cumplieron los
criterios de inclusión y exclusión, cuyo universo incluye 150 pacientes que
acudieron a los hospitales Carlos Andrade Marín y Pablo Arturo Suárez,
RESULTADOS: se identificaron 2 pacientes (1,3%) quienes reportaron
recuerdos durante el periodo transoperatorio, CONCLUSIONES: La incidencia
de despertar intraoperatorio en nuestro estudio es mayor en pacientes bajo
anestesia general balanceadaThe intraoperation awakening is the experience of explicit real events during
general anesthesia on spite of its suppressive property over memory.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is the evaluation of intraoperation
awakening on patiens under balanced anesthesia against total intravenous
anesthesia using a Brice questionnaire modified by Moerman in the recovery
room in the Hospitals Carlos Andrade Marin and Pablo Arturo Suarez during
July and August 2016. METODOLOGY: The methodology consisted of a
transversal study with patients complying the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
The universe included 150 patients attending the hospitals Carlos Andrade
Marin and Pablo Arturo Suarez, RESULTS: 2 patients (1.3%) were identified
who reported memories during the intraoperative period, CONCLUSIONS: The
incidence of intraoperative awakening in our study is higher in patients under

Beacon-based wireless TSN association
No full textTime-sensitive networking (TSN) is utilized in industrial environments to support reliable low-latency communications. Bringing TSN features to wireless networks is getting traction recently by achieving time synchronization and traffic scheduling over wireless links. Besides these basic features, impact-less and network transparent association of prospective clients is paramount for wireless TSN. This demo presents an impactless TSN association procedure, where beacons are used to provide time synchronization and scheduling to prospective clients, where association procedure is done in reserved time slots. The presented demo is designed, implemented, and tested on top of a wireless Software Defined Radio platform using the IEEE802.11 standard. By utilizing a dashboard, this demo will demonstrate real-time control over association as well as high accuracy synchronization on client frame transmissions even with challenging scheduling configuration of 128 μ S timeslots
Impactless beacon-based wireless TSN association procedure
No full textTime-sensitive networking (TSN) is widely used in industrial environments to support low-latency deterministic communications. Innovation to bring time-sensitive networking to wireless networks is getting traction. Besides enabling real-time and deterministic communications, Wireless Time-Sensitive Networks (W- TSN) should provide flexibility and easy deploy-ment, key characteristic requirements for industrial networks. Nevertheless, current research in this field focuses on adapting wired TSN features to the wireless world, namely accurate time synchronization and traffic scheduling, essential processes for wireless end devices such as automated and impact-less association procedure are not considered until now. This work proposes a W - TSN impactless association procedure that provides time synchronization and traffic scheduling for prospect W - TSN clients during the association phase by utilization of beacons. As such, prospect clients can perform association procedure in a controlled fashion avoiding collisions with other, already-associated, W - TSN clients. The presented procedure is designed, implemented, and tested in a real-world scenario on top of a wireless Software Defined Radio (SDR) platform with the IEEE802.11 standard. The results show high accuracy synchro-nization on client frame transmissions even with challenging scheduling timeslots of 128 μs

Safety-related applications over wireless time-sensitive networks
No full textIndustrial communication systems provide deterministic and reliable communication between various industrial components. In the past several decades, different communication technologies (Fieldbus, Real-Time Ethernet (RTE)) were used to achieve such determinism. Recently, Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is being utilized in industrial environments to support end-to-end low latency deterministic communication by providing mechanisms for accurate time synchronization, traffic scheduling/shaping, and reliability. With many use cases requiring portability and seamless mobility, such features are being developed for wireless networks as well, expanding the time-sensitive communication to the wireless domain. Wireless TSN’s aim is to provide wired TSN-like features, achieving wired-wireless interoperability and flattening the automation system pyramid. In this paper, we present an integration between the wireless TSN and PROFINET. We show that the safety-related applications can be supported seamlessly, providing deterministic communication and reliability under best-effort traffic load in the wireless network. The solution is evaluated in terms of the achieved end-to-end latency and the probability of failure per hour of the fail-safe communication. It is shown that by using wireless time-sensitive networking with dedicated time slots per traffic flow a safety integrity level up to grade 4 can be achieved

In this interview with Juan Pablo Rodríguez, author of Resisting neoliberal capitalism in Chile: the possibility of social critique (2020), we address the main ideas and motivations behind the book and the research on which the book is based. We first explore the analysis the author makes of different theoretical critiques of contemporary neoliberal capitalism, and then we talk about the practices of embodied critiques carried out by social movements in Chile, focusing on the cases of the student and the pobladores movements

No full textabstract: ABSTRACT This research aims to investigate the work and impact of the prolific and popular Pablo Parellada y Molas. Although the author is now forgotten, he is an important figure regarding the struggles between Modernist writers and their critics. Pablo Parellada was one the key detractors of literary Modernism, a movement which he attacked through his parodies as evinced in his poetry, drama and short stories. His works contain the main pejorative features that would become the standard critique of these young poets of Spain in the early 1900's. Through the work of Pablo Parellada, this study seeks to understand the literary debates of Modernism in Spain that took place in the early twentieth century. Through this understanding, this study becomes important for it reveals the many personal characteristics that were attributed to the young Modernist poets. Some of these characteristics continued to be used by literary critics and as well became part of the collective imagination at the time and were still circulating several decades later.Dissertation/ThesisM.A. Spanish 201

No full text“Innominate, unnamed, autonomous entities wondering around. From the deepest silence I find lost, starving gazes; biting looks, others that are absent. Anonymity... Some looks scream for others, even for mine... The characters that appear in this gallery of faces have caught me in some way; some are friends, or were. I have never met some of the others. However, they are all a part of me. This collection of intervened portraits is a humble homage to all anonymous beings in their purest essence. In this way, Pablo Bielli (Montevideo, 1969) introduces this series of photographs for dixit. This selection is part of the “Innominate” project, which he began in 2010, and continues developing it in different stages called albums. The author started his career in photography in 1987. He worked for several national and international media --diario El Obervador, Revista Posdata, Diario Clarín, América Economía, Editorial AVER, Revista Bla, Revista Cava Privada. Since 1998 he is a freelance photographer in the fields of advertising, editorials and international news agencies. For six years, he gave Lighting Workshop lessons at Foto Club Uruguayo. He was a founding member of Simbad Foto producciones (advertising photography) and of Fototeca Sur (archive and contents).“Sin nómina, innominados, entes autónomos deambulando. Desde el silencio más profundo encuentro miradas perdidas, hambrientas; miradas que cortan, otras ausentes. Anonimato... algunas miradas llaman a gritos a otras, incluso a la mía”.
