No full textEn el siguiente trabajo se presentan varias acciones llevadas a cabo en nuestro país, específicamente en la Universidad Central ¨Marta Abreu¨ de Las Villas con el objetivo de revitalizar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del idioma ruso y preparar a nuestros especialistas en planes futuros en relación directa con el idioma antes mencionado. Durante el desarrollo del trabajo se utilizaron los métodos cualitativos (observación e interpretación) y deductivos (de lo general a lo específico mediante el razonamiento lógico). El último curso de posgrado impartido contó con una matrícula inicial de 17 profesionales de diferentes disciplinas, de ellos diez concluyeron el mismo con notas promedio de 4 puntos. Las acciones llevadas a cabo en nuestro centro, para con la revitalización del idioma ruso en la Universidad Central ¨Marta Abreu¨ de Las Villas ayudaran a resolver las necesidades básicas que surjan en el mencionado proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje.The following work presents several actions carried out in our country, specifically at the "Marta Abreu" Central University of Las Villas with the aim of revitalizing the teaching-learning process of the Russian language and preparing our specialists in future plans in direct relationship with the aforementioned language. During the development of the work, qualitative methods (observation and interpretation) and deductive methods (from the general to the specific through logical reasoning) were used. The last postgraduate course taught had an initial enrollment of 17 professionals from different disciplines, ten of them completed the same with average marks of 4 points. The actions carried out in our center, with the revitalization of the Russian language at the "Marta Abreu" Central University of Las Villas, will help to solve the basic needs that arise in the aforementioned teaching-learning process
Stages for the More Sustainable Farm
Get PDFCurrently, agricultural farm units are faced with a double and most times contradictory challenge, in order to be successful: on the one hand the invested capital has to be profitable and the economic performance has to be maximised. On the other hand, given the socio-environmental situation, it is necessary to preserve and to protect the environment and natural resources. Given the potential conflict of the two aims, since the satisfaction of one implies the underperformance of the other (and vice versa), the question then is: which is the solution to choose? We intend, in this work, to formulate a farm plan with the purpose of reconciling the criteria of environmental sustainability with that of economic competitiveness. For this achievement we proceed to the comparative study of sustainability of different groups of farms identified in the study area (first evaluation cycle) through MESMIS (“Marco para la Evaluación de Sistemas de Manejo de Recursos Naturales Mediante Indicadores de Sustentabilidad” - Framework for Evaluation of Natural-Resource Systems Handling through Sustainability Indicators) methodology, that allowed to select the more sustainable group of farms. Based on the found potentialities and weakness on these production systems, we stepped to the planning of a production unit of bovine meat, which obeys simultaneously to economic and environmental objectives, using Multicriteria Decision. We finished the work with the sustainability evaluation between groups of farms identified previously and the planned farms (second evaluation cycle), based, again, in the MESMIS methodology, to confirm (or not) the greatest sustainability of the last ones. In 2009, she was awarded the Premio Scenario per Ustica for E bello vivere liberi!, first show of a trilogy on female resistance, followed by La semplicità ingannata (2012) and Sorry, boys (2015). These three texts are published in Resistenze femminili (Udine: Forum, 2019). In 2018 she created Il canto della caduta. Earthbound (2021) is her last devised show, which brings in the themes of ecofeminism, taking cues from the theories of Donna Haraway and Bruno Latour. In 2021 she became associate artist at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan. In 2023, she is guest of honor at the 11th Biennale internationale des arts de la marionette in Paris. She was awarded the prizes Rete Critica (2017), Premio della Critica – ANCT (2018) and Premio Hystrio - Altre Muse (2019).Animation de la discussion avec Marta Cuscunà, performeuse, metteuse en scène, marionnettiste et autrice italienne. The aftermath of civil war
Get PDFUsing an"event-study"methodology, this paper analyzes the aftermath of civil war in a cross-section of countries. It focuses on those experiences where the end of conflict marks the beginning of a relatively lasting peace. The paper considers 41 countries involved in internal wars in the period 1960-2003. In order to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the aftermath of war, the paper considers a host of social areas represented by basic indicators of economic performance, health and education, political development, demographic trends, and conflict and security issues. For each of these indicators, the paper first compares the post- and pre-war situations and then examines their dynamic trends during the post-conflict period. The paper concludes that, even though war has devastating effects and its aftermath can be immensely difficult, when the end of war marks the beginning of lasting peace, recovery and improvement are indeed achieved.Population Policies,Peace&Peacekeeping,Post Conflict Reintegration,Services&Transfers to Poor,Social Conflict and Violence
Butchery, cooking and human consumption marks on rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) bones: An experimental study
No full textAn experimental study was conducted to assess the taphonomic signature derived from anthropic activities on rabbit bones. Nine wild European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) individuals were butchered using lithic tools, four were cooked and three of them were consumed by people. Cut marks resulting from skinning, disarticulation and defleshing as well as cooking damage and tooth marks caused by consumption were analysed and evaluated. Results show that butchery marks can be relatively abundant. Their location, intensity and orientation may differ according to the activity that caused them: skinning, disarticulation or defleshing of the carcass. Cooking damage is evidenced by specific burnt areas on the extremities of the bones. Tooth marks are scarce and often difficult to detect. They occur especially on long bones, with tooth pits being the most abundant type of damage. Finally, we attempt to address the way in which these marks can be archaeologically identified.Grant Sponsorship: research

Se creó una Estrategia de comunicación del conocimiento que consistió en generar recursos audiovisuales basados en TIC para promover bienestar y salud mental positiva en estudiantes universitarios en tiempos de pandemia, vinculada al proyecto INV 2371 ESTUDIO DE LAS PROPIEDADES PSICOMÉTRICAS DE LAS ESCALAS DE BIENESTAR DE DIENER EN POBLACIÓN COLOMBIANA cuya autora principal es la Dra. Marta Martín. Los tipos de recursos audiovisuales generados fueron infografías, podCaps, videos, y poster, en total fueron 10 recursos, con un resultado en general de 423 vistas, 240 like y 10 opiniones. Por los resultados de la encuesta de opinión se concluyó que las tic juegan un papel fundamental en la promoción de salud mental, puesto que la mayoría de los estudiantes encuestados les pareció bueno el material expuesto.The objective of this project was to generate audiovisual resources based on ICT to promote well-being and positive mental health in university students in times of pandemic. A Knowledge Communication Strategy was created that consisted of generating ICT-based audiovisual resources to promote well-being and positive mental health in university students in times of pandemic, linked to the INV 2371 project STUDY OF THE PSYCHOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF THE WELL-BEING SCALES OF DIENER IN COLOMBIAN POPULATION whose main author is Dr. Marta Martín. especies de camarones cándeos colectados en los ríos de la región de Santa Marta.
Se hace una breve descripción de los biotopos ocupados por estas especies y una zonación
aititudinal en los ríos de acuerdo a la distribución y preferencia por los biotopos
de cada una de las especies de camarones.
Para la identificación de las especies se dan claves, descripciones y se anotan algunas observaciones ecológicas. Las descripciones se acompañan con dibujos realizados por el autor para facilitar futuras identificaciones.This paper gives some biológical and ecológical aspects corresponding to thirteen species of caridean shrimps collected in the Santa Marta región. For these species a short description of the biotops inhabitcd is given and an altitudinal zonation in the rivers is made according to distribution and preierence for the biotops correspondjng to caen species of shrimps. Keys, descriptions and iliustrations are given to identify the various species as well as somc ecológica! aspects. The descriptions are illustrated with additional
