FOXM1 coming of age: Time for translation into clinical benefits?
No full textA decade since the first evidence implicating the cell cycle transcription factor FOXM1 in human tumourigenesis, a slew of subsequent studies revealed an oncogenic role of FOXM1 in the majority of human cancers including oral, nasopharynx, oropharynx, oesophagus, breast, ovary, prostate, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, colon, brain, cervix, thyroid, bladder, uterus, testis, stomach, skin and blood. Its aberrant upregulation in almost all different cancer types suggests a fundamental role for FOXM1 in tumourigenesis. Its dose-dependent expression pattern correlated well with tumour progression starting from cancer predisposition and initiation, early premalignancy and progression, to metastatic invasion. In addition, emerging studies have demonstrated a causal link between FOXM1 and chemotherapeutic drug resistance. Despite the well-established multifaceted roles for FOXM1 in all stages of oncogenesis, its translation into clinical benefit is yet to materialise. Get PDFWhen Kuan-Teh Jeang (‘Teh’ to everyone) made the bold and prescient decision to join the earliest wave of pure online academic publishing and founded the journal Retrovirology, Mark Wainberg was one of the simplest and most obvious choices for him to invite to join the editorial team. Mark’s long established and highly respected position in the field of HIV and AIDS research added enormously to the embryonic journal’s immediate credibility and stature. Mark’s seminal achievements in recent years have been in antiretroviral therapy and viral resistance mechanisms but, in a publishing career on HIV spanning 30 years and over 550 publications, there were few areas of HIV research that he did not investigate and he brought that enormous range of expertise and experience to Retrovirology. His many achievements in the field will be described in detail by others, including his trainees and colleagues from Canada, in a shortly to be published obituary in this journal. When Teh himself was so sadly taken from us it was again Mark’s stature and reputation and his boundless enthusiasm and energy that was so important in maintaining the momentum and profile of the Journal as he took on the role of Co-Editor in Chief

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan mengambil data dari sumber primer dan sekunder melalui Teknik observasi dan wawancara dimana data yang diperoleh akan dibandingkan dengan teori yang ada sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan. Tujuan penulis melakukan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui factor apa saja yang menjadi bahan pertimbangan dalam perhitungan harga jual suatu produk dan mengetahui perhitungan harga jual dalam suatu produk.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode perhitungan harga jual produk pada Industri Hilir Teh Walini PTPN VIII adalah metode penetapan harga mark-up. Melalui metode ini Industri Hilir Teh Walini PTPN VIII menghitung total biaya yang dikeluarkan dengan pertimbangan faktor- faktor yang mempengaruhi perhitungan harga jual yaitu biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan dalam menghasilkan produk tersebut, kemudian dari total biaya tersebut ditambah dengan mark-up sehingga menghasilkan harga jual dari suatu produk

No full textThis study describes the Mark III version of MULTIMOD, the IMF's multi region macroeconomic model. Mark III version of MULTIMOD differs from its predecessor in several important respects. New features include a core steady-state analogue model, a new model of teh inflation-unemployment nexus, and extended non-Ricardian specification of consumption-saving behavior, and improved specifications and estimates of investment behavior and international trade equations. In addition, the introduction of a new solution algorithm has greatly increased the robustness, speed of convergence, and accuracy of the simulations.
