As máscaras modernistas: Adalgisa Nery e Maria Martins na vanguarda brasileira

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura.Certa tradição analisa as obras do modernismo brasileiro recorrendo à institucionalização nacionalista do movimento e pautando-se, muitas vezes, numa concepção materialista da história. Afora isso, esse olhar crítico é mediado pela percepção da forma como matéria a ser analisada, o que pressupõe um parâmetro que, na literatura brasileira, estaria na Semana de Arte Moderna. Este trabalho se propõe a focar duas autoras modernistas não-canônicas: Maria Martins (1890-1973) e Adalgisa Nery (1905-1980). Supõe-se que ambas as autoras passaram incólumes pelo movimento por adotarem uma concepção nietzscheana de tempo, circular. Deuses Malditos I (1965), biografia de Nietzsche escrita por Maria Martins e A imaginária (1959), romance autobiográfico de Adalgisa Nery, são analisados a partir da tese de que a biografia e a autobiografia são máscaras textuais. A máscara é matéria que revela pelo disfarce, que preenche os vazios diversos - a ausência de Maria e de Adalgisa na crítica, as lacunas presentes em ambos os livros e a impossibilidade de representação das autoras pelo texto. Tratar do modernismo por meio de máscaras permite pensá-lo a partir do texto e de um começo, ou de um re-começo, que pode existir ainda hoje. A determinate critical tradition analyses Brazilian modernist works considering the nationalist aspect of this movement. This tradition is based, most of the times, on a materialistic conception of history. Besides that, this critical perspective takes into account the structure as the main aspect to be analyzed in a literary work and considers the authors who took part in the Modern Week, in 1922, as patterns to read others modernist writers and texts. This paper focuses on two modernist non-canonical writers, Maria Martins (1890-1973) and Adalgisa Nery (1905-1980) assuming that they were not suitably considered as part of that literary movement because they have embraced a Nietzschean conception of time, an understanding of history as a cyclical movement. Deuses Malditos I (1965), Nietzsche's biography by Maria Martins and A imaginária (1969), Adalgisa's Nery autobiographical novel, will be analyzed departing from the theses that biography and autobiography are textual masks. Mask is the substance that reveals when hiding, which fills various vacuities - Maria's and Adalgisa's absence in literary criticism, the gaps present in both books and the textual impossibility of representing these writers. To deal with modernism by means of masks also allows to consider the notion of text and to depart from a beginning or from a reopening to think about this movement, what may be possible still nowadays

The historical boundaries in which the City of Ladies is located are outlined, alongside the proposal of a critical reading of the impact of the study of the Classics at the dawn of Humanism, whose eternal pedagogical relevance is highlighted. The life of the author offers a horizon of fruitful thought in inspiring her own contribution to the community / city, with all the semantic and semiological heritage of classical culture
Topological multiferroics
No full textBased on first-principles calculations, we explore an unconventional type of multiferroicity obtained via magnetic doping of wide-gap layered-perovskite ferroelectrics of the family AnTinO3n+2. Using the n=4 member La2Ti2O7 as home base, we substitute 3d atoms for Ti. The highlights of our results are that (1) low-concentration substitution of Ti by V produces robust unidirectional ferromagnetic (FM) order, resulting in a small-gap proper multiferroic, which in addition has electrically switchable magnetization, and (2) the isovalent substitution of Mn for Ti produces multiferroicity with weak FM order due to canting of antiferromagnetic Mn spins, and larger-than-usual linear magnetoelectric coupling
Large fluorine-vacancy clusters in Si and their capture efficiency for self-interstitials
No full textBased on ab initio density-functional energetics for saturated (n=2m+2) fluorine-vacancy clusters FnVm for m up to 4, the authors set up a model showing that (a) fluorine-vacancy (F-V) aggregates in Si can form in any size and concentration for sufficient concentrations of incorporated (e.g., implanted) F, and (b) the F to V ratio in F-V complexes (i.e., the inverse capture efficiency of self-interstitials) is an ensemble average over many cluster sizes. It ranges between 4 and 2, with typical values of 2.2-2.5, consistent with recent experimental estimates. (c) 2006 American Institute of Physics

No full textDissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro Sócio-Econômico, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração, Florianópolis, 2012Este estudo tem como objetivo verificar como ocorre o gerenciamento de recursos humanos nos polos de apoio presencial do Sistema Universidade Aberta do Brasil (SisUAB) e sua relevância consiste no fato de que a Educação a Distância (EaD) necessita de uma abordagem profissional de gestão, não apenas em questão de princípios pedagógicos ou de infraestrutura, mas também em relação aos recursos humanos de forma a prover talentos, capacitá-los, recompensá-los e mantê-los leais ao objetivo institucional, assegurando a produtividade e o comprometimento dos agentes envolvidos com a democratização do ensino. Para atingir este fim, foi realizado um estudo de caso nos polos de apoio presencial que ofertam o Curso de Graduação em Administração Pública na modalidade a distância da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), tendo como público-alvo os coordenadores das unidades do Estado de Santa Catarina dos municípios de Araranguá, Chapecó, Florianópolis, Joinville, Lages e Tubarão. Quanto à natureza, trata-se de uma pesquisa aplicada, pois tem o propósito de gerar conhecimentos para uso prático na solução de problemas específicos e, nesta perspectiva, este trabalho busca levantar as facilidades e as dificuldades encontradas pelos gestores. Relativo à abordagem, é quanti-qualitativa, por ter a finalidade de identificar a quantidade de cursos, instituições e recursos humanos presentes nos locais estudados e, a partir daí, compreender como ocorre o gerenciamento. É teórico-empírica uma vez que discorre sobre teorias, conceitos e ideias, de forma a alinhar o rigor conceitual à prática e, é descritiva, por envolver técnicas padronizadas de coleta de dados, tais como questionário e observação sistemática. Quanto aos procedimentos de coleta de dados, o trabalho foi elaborado com base em material já publicado, inclusive artigos e capítulos de livros de autoria da pesquisadora, e também apoiado na interação da mesma com os membros da situação investigada. Como resultado, obteve-se um melhor entendimento das atividades gerenciais realizadas nas unidades operacionais da UFSC, identificando-se as facilidades e as dificuldades do gerenciamento de recursos humanos frente ao crescimento da EaD, sendo possível cooperar com esta instituição fornecendo sugestões que permitam a continuidade do estudo e o aperfeiçoamento da prática de gestão focada nas necessidades da equipe e dos alunos.Abstract : This study aims to determine as is the management of human resources in the face of the support poles of the Open University of Brazil (SisUAB) and its relevance is the fact that distance education (DE) requires a professional approach to management, not just a matter of pedagogical principles or infrastructure, but also in relation to human resources in order to provide talent, train them, reward them and keep them loyal to the institutional goal, ensuring productivity and commitment of those involved with the democratization of education. To this end, we performed a case study in the presence of support poles that offer the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration in the distance of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), with the audience coordinators of units of the State of the municipalities of Santa Catarina Araranguá, Chapecó, Florianopolis, Joinville, Lages and Shark. The nature, it is an applied research because it aims to generate knowledge to practical use in solving specific problems and in this perspective, this article raises the facilities and the difficulties encountered by managers. On the approach is quantitative and qualitative, to have the purpose of identifying the amount of courses, intitutions and human resources present in the locations studied, and from there, to understand how management occurs. It is theoretical and empirical since discusses theories, concepts and ideas in order to align the conceptual rigor to the practice, and is descriptive because it involves standard techniques of data collection such as questionnaire and systematic observation. The procedures for data collection, the work was based on previously published material, including articles and book chapters authored by the researcher, and also supported in the same interaction with members of the situation investigated. As a result, we obtained a better understanding of management activities conducted in the operational units of UFSC, identifying the facilities and the difficulties of managing human resources before the growth of distance education, being unable to cooperate with this institution providing suggestions to allow continuity the study and improvement of management practice focused on the needs of staff and students
Application of fracture mechanics to debonding of FRP from RC members
No full textDuring the last two decades, externally bonded uni-directional fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have been widely used for strengthening, repairing, and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete (RC) structural members. The bond characteristics contribute to the effectiveness of the stress transfer achieved between the FRP composite and the concrete substrate. Debonding of the FRP composite reinforcement is the most critical concern in this type of application. Under monotonic and fatigue loading conditions, FRP-concrete shear debonding has been idealized as a Mode-II fracture problem along the bi-material interface. A cohesive material law is used to describe the interfacial stress transfer at the macroscopic level. The area under the entire curve represents the fracture energy and is related to the load-carrying capacity of the interface. In this paper, previous experimental results and literature are discussed to show how the fracture energy can be considered a true fracture parameter. In addition, a simplistic one dimensional numerical analysis of the direct shear test is presented with the intent of pointing out the effect of the fracture parameters related to the cohesive material law on the load carrying capacity. The results are instrumental to discuss the strain limits provided in the ACI 440.2R-08 document
