Candi Sewu Sebagai Rumah Manjusri Dalam Karya Seni Keramik
Get PDFThe main focus of this research is on the designation of Sewu Temple as Manjusrigrha, which means the home of Manjusri as mentioned in the Manjusrigrha inscription found in 1960 in one of the ancillary temples (temple number 202) of Sewu Temple. Manjusri himself is a form of Bodhisattva that symbolizes the perfection of wisdom (Prajna). The figure of Manjusri is the source of ideas for making ceramic artworks with Gadamer's hermeneutic-dialogical approach. The interpretation will be framed in the context of the aesthetic richness of the Sewu Temple building as a whole and the interpretation of the figure of the Manjusri. The interpretation of Sewu Temple as a “home for Manjusri” is an effort to understand more broadly the meaning of the existence of Sewu Temple in the historical landscape of Indonesia's past. Hermeneutics-dialogic in this research is an ethical interpretative mode, which seeks a form of connection, presence and search for shared meaning that produces a taste of novelty as well as difference. While the methodology used in this research is Practice as Research (PaR), where the work produced in the research provides a new understanding of the existence of Sewu Temple in the historical consciousness of the Indonesian nation and uploads the aesthetic power of Sewu Temple.Candi Sewu sebagai sumber gagasan atau ide penciptaan karya seni keramik, Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah pada sebutan Candi Sewu sebagai Manjusrigrha, yang artinya rumah bagi Manjusri sebagaimana disebutkan dalam prasasti Manjusrigrha yang ditemukan pada tahun 1960 di salah satu candi perwara (candi nomor 202) dari Candi Sewu. Manjusri sendiri adalah salah satu bentuk Bodhissatva yang melambangkan kesempurnaan dari kebijaksanaan (Prajna). Figur dan sosok sang Manjusri menjadi sumber gagasan pembuatan karya seni keramik dengan pendekatan hermeneutika-dialogis Gadamer. Penafasiran akan dibingkai dalam konteks kekayaan estetik dari bangunan Candi Sewu secara keseluruhan dan penafsiran atas sosok sang Manjusri. Penafsiran terhadap Candi Sewu sebagai “rumah bagi Manjusri” merupakan sebuah upaya memahami secara lebih luas makna dari keberadaan Candi Sewu dalam lanskap sejarah masa lalu bangsa Indonesia. Hermeneutika-dialogis dalam penelitian ini sebagai suatu moda interpretatif yang etis, yaitu mencari bentuk keterhubungan, kehadiran dan mencari makna bersama yang menghasilkan suatu rasa (taste) kebaruan sekaligus perbedaan. Sementara metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Practice as Research (PaR), di mana karya yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian memberikan pemahaman baru tentang keberadaan Candi Sewu dalam kesadaran Sejarah bangsa Indonesia dan mengunggah kekuatan estetik dari Candi Sewu

Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Buddhist Manjusri. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa deskriptif analitis yang membandingkan antara kajian pustaka dengan kenyataan dilapangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMK Buddhist Manjusri, sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kinerja guru di sekolah yang sama. Data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket dan lembar observasi yang digunakan untuk mengamati variabel-variabel penelitian. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian diidentifikasi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dibandingkan dengan kajian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMK Buddhist Manjusri yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru adalah degan memerapkan gaya kepemimpinan partisipasi.
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
