    Peningkatan mutu pembelajaran harus selalu dilakukan untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang berkualitas. Untuk mencapai keberhasilan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran diperlukan kerja keras yang berkesinambungan dari berbagai pihak, khususnya tenaga pendidik. Tenaga pendidik berkewajiban untuk selalu memperbaiki kualitas isi atau materi pembelajaran, serta proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik memiliki motivasi belajar dan mencapai hasil yang  maksimal. Di samping itu guru/ dosen juga harus dapat melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan tepat dan benar. Lesson study merupakan suatu model pembinaan profesi pendidik melalui pengkajian pembelajaran secara kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan berdasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip kolegalitas oleh sekelompok guru (dosen) untuk membangun sebuah komunitas belajar (learning community). Lesson Study bukan merupakan suatu strategi ataupun metode pembelajaran, tetapi kegiatan lesson study dapat menerapkan berbagai strategi dan metode pembelajaran yang dapat disesuaikan dengan situasi dan kondisi serta permasalahan yang dihadapi guru (dosen) pada setiap proses pembelajaran. Dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok. Kelompok konvensional 38 mahasiswa dan kelompok Lesson Study 38 mahasiswa. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat motivasi mahasiswa dan hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran berbasis konvensional dan Lesson Study. Hasil study menunjukan rata-rata tingkat motivasi belajar 4,42 pada kelompok konvensional dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 73.5. pada kelompok Lesson Study didapatkan rata rata motivasi belajar 4,71 dan rata – rata hasil belajar 87,5, rata rata tingkat enjoyment siswa 3,29 pada kelompok konvensional dan rata rata 3,46 pada kelompok lesson study dengan P value 0,03 < P Value 0,05 significant. dari hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara model konvensional dengan model lesson study,  open lesson memberikan dampak knowledge lebih baik serta tingkat kenyamanan tinggi meskipun secara bermakna tingkat motivasi tidak jauh berbeda

    Pengetahuan, sikap guru harus menyesuaikan perkembangan dunia pengajaran. Belum semua guru sadar banyak peluang terbuka bagi peningkatan kompetensi mereka. Survey pendahuluan dilakukan pada guru PAUD tentang kompetensi guru dibidang penggunaan teknologi khususnya penggunaan laptop/komputer dalam membuat media interaktif pembelajaran selama pandemik covid 19 pendidikan untuk anak usia dini. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan memberikan pelatihan keterampilan media interaktif untuk pembelajaran pengembangan bahasa anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan: 1) Identifikasi Masalah; 2) Perumusan Masalah; 3) Pemilihan Pemecahan Masalah; 4) Perencanaan; 5) Pelaksanaan. Lokasi TK Lintang Surabaya berjarak 12,8 Km dari Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. Selama 4 minggu, kegiatan dilakukan seminggu sekali secara luring berlokasi di TK Lintang Surabaya. Sasarannya guru PAUD sejumlah 20 peserta. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan media interaktif dapat memberikan wawasan serta pengetahuan guru dalam bidang penguasaan teknologi untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogi. Guru mampu menyiapkan media interaktif dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran luring atau daring, untuk menstimulasi seluruh aspek perkembangan terutama pengembangan bahasa anak dengan cara efektif dan menyenangkan pada masa new normal

    Mahasiswa baru (khususnya di tahun pertama dan kedua) dalam mengikuti perkuliahan masih cenderung mengikuti pola pembelajaran di SLTA. Selama proses perkuliahan berlangsung mahasiswa hanya aktif mendengarkan saja. Tidak banyak terlibat berinteraksi timbal balik antara dosen - mahasiswa atau mahasiswa - mahasiswa. Hanya sekitar 10% bahkan kurang dari jumlah itu, mahasiswa yang mau bertanya dan berinteraksi terhadap perkuliahan dari dosen. Tentu saja bila interaksi timbal balik tidak optimal maka proses dan hasil pembelajarannyapun dikategorikan  kurang maksimal. Bila dicermati faktor penyebabnya antara lain mahasiswa: 1). Belum biasa bertanya, karena maindset belajar belum  berubah, masih menggunakan maindset belajar di SLTA. 2). Cara belajar di perguruan tinggi belum terbentuk.  3) Masih ada rasa malu, bahkan  rasa takut atau minder akan pertanyaan yang dimunculkan dikategorikan tidak ilmiah.  4). Bila merespon pertanyaan dosen dilakukan mahasiswa secara bersamaan sehingga suaranya terdengar kurang jelas. Bila disuruh menjawab sendirian malah diam atau tidak mau merespon. 5). Bila ada yang mau berinteraksi dengan dosen hanya mahasiswa tertentu saja. Bertolak dari fakta tersebut, maka yang akan dikaji dan diteliti adalah menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar  bagi mahasiswa baru melalui  pembelajaran tugas individu. Tujuan penelitian ini agar mahasiswa memiliki mindset cara belajar di Perguruan Tinggi yakni aktif belajar secara mandiri.     The length of time (period) of learning from home (BDR) during the COVID-19 pandemic has more or less an effect on the readiness of children to learn face-to-face. Maybe children still feel reluctance to learn face to face at school because they are used to learning conditions at home while lying down, playing gadgets and so on. The role of parents is needed to motivate children to want to learn face-to-face at school again. In connection with this, the Community Service Team of the PG-PAUD Study Program, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya held a socialization about the role of parents in dealing with face-to-face learning. This program aims to provide motivation and reinforcement to parents of students so that they can help and motivate children in facing face-to-face learning (PTM) at school.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
