Social figurations and tourist displacement in Argentina
In this paper we analyze, on the one hand; the figurations of transnational tourist travels; and secondly, tourism concepts involving these configurations. We will do it, based on two initial questions: a) the exploration of the profiles movements than affecting tourism in Argentina; and b) the characterization of tourists and tourism in this country, during the period 2009-2014. To achieve our goals, we will use multidimensional statistics, and qualitative analysis of categories. We try to make an approach to the problem, showing that the displacements of people across state territories, are transformations toward explicit new forms of social integration, which are also the stimulators and the centerpieces of tourism industry.Fil: Gómez, Raimundo Elías. Digital technologies for environmental sustainability
Recognizing the immense challenges posed by climate change and aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13, which focuses on climate action, the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) established the Digital Technology and Climate Change Task Force in December 2022. The Task Force aims to identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies effectively in combating climate change and to provide recommendations for professionals and relevant institutions. Since its inception, the Task Force has met regularly. After conducting a scoping exercise and defining a taxonomy, a comprehensive questionnaire was distributed twice among IFIP stakeholders, namely, technical committees and member societies, to gather insights and understand the diverse perspectives of the IFIP community on this specific matter.
This document presents the Task Force\u27s findings and is structured into two parts. The first part introduces the main concepts and challenges of climate change and digital technologies. It discusses the key challenges and concepts related to climate change, the widely adopted strategies for combating it, and the digital technologies and skills required to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of these strategies.
The second part of the document focuses on recommendations tailored to various stakeholders, including individuals, computer societies, governments, the information and communication technology (ICT) industry, the research and development sector, and specific industries considered strategic in the fight against climate change: energy, manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of public awareness and education.
The Final Remarks section summarizes the findings and proposed actions, emphasizing the critical role of digital technologies in mitigating and addressing climate change. This section also presents general recommendations for various stakeholders. The Task Force Composition and Historical Background section introduces the task force members and provides a brief historical overview. Finally, the References section lists sources and additional reading materials.

A Sociedade Brasileira de Computação (SBC) constituiu uma força-tarefa a fim de contribuir com a preparação de um diagnóstico inicial sobre tecnologias digitais para a sustentabilidade do planeta. Este documento é o resultado das atividades da força-tarefa, a qual iniciou em 09 de setembro de 2021 e manteve reuniões semanais, com apresentações e debates sobre esforços nacionais e internacionais a respeito do tema.

Perfil farmacocinético do metamizol isolado e associado ao tramadol após administração intravenosa em asininos
The empirical extrapolation of the therapeutic protocols indicated for animals, although a routine practice, does not take into account the particularities of each species, increasing the risks of low efficacy in treatments, either by underdoses or by overdoses. The objective was to evaluate the pharmacokinetic profile of metamizole administered intravenously in isolation and in association with tramadol in donkeys. The ten animals were included in all study groups, with a 15-day rest period between treatments. The animals received four treatments. In the treatment M10 metamizole at a dose of 10 mg/kg, M25 - metamizole 25mg/kg and M10T2 - 10 mg/kg of metamizole combined with 2mg/kg of tramadol and in M25T2, 25 mg/kg metamizole with 2mg/kg tramadol. All treatments were performed in a single dose and intravenously. After predetermined times, blood samples were collected for further analysis. Plasma aliquots were processed and injected into the ultra-performance chromatographic system coupled to a mass spectrometer (UPLC-MS / MS). During the collections, the animals were observed for possible adverse manifestations. The parameters evaluated were: the maximum plasma concentration (Cmax), the time to reach the Cmax (Tmax), the area under the plasma concentration curve from time zero until the moment of the last measurable concentration (AUC0 → t) and the extrapolation of the AUC to infinity (AUC0 → ∞), apparent volume of distribution (Vz/F), apparent clearance (Cl/ F), elimination constant (Ke); elimination half-life (t1 / 2); Mean residual time until the last measurement (MRT0 → t), Mean residual time from zero to infinity (MRT0 → ∞), for drugs and their main metabolites. In groups M10 and M25, the parameters AUC0 → t, AUC0 → ∞, Cmax showed a significant increase in the two metabolites of metamizole in animals in the group M25. While Tmax, Vz / F and Cl / F had no statistical difference between groups. After intravenous administration of treatments M10T2 and M25T2, TRA, MAA, AA were detected within 24 hours of analysis and M1 up to 12 hours. Analyzing the TRA metabolite, it was observed that AUC0 → ∞ and CL / F were higher in the group treated with 10mg/kg of metamizole when compared to the 25mg/kg group. While the t ½; MRT0 → ∞; MRT0 → t are significantly higher in the M25T2 group. Regarding its by-product, M1, t 1/2; MRT0 → ∞; MRT0 → t were significantly higher in the second group. The Vz / F; MRT 0 → ∞, t1/2 of MAA and MRT0 → t of AA varied significantly between groups, being higher in animals that received 25mg/kg of Metamizole. Based on the results, it is possible to state that it was successful since it was possible to develop an analytical method capable of detecting and quantifying both drugs and their main metabolites in donkey blood for up to 48 hours. In addition, it proved that there are changes in some pharmacokinetic parameters when different doses of metamizole are administered and that they interfere with the metabolism of metamizole itself as well as tramadol and its most active metabolite, O-desmethyltramadol and that these findings may support future clinical trials for analgesic efficacy or even establish an appropriate dosage for donkeysA extrapolação empírica dos protocolos terapêuticos indicados para animais, embora uma prática rotineira, não leva em consideração as particularidades de cada espécie, elevando os riscos de baixa eficácia nos tratamentos seja por subdoses seja por sobredoses. Objetivou-se avaliar o perfil farmacocinético do metamizol administrado por via intravenosa de forma isolada e em associação com tramadol em asininos. Foram utilizados 10 jumentos machos, saudáveis e inteiros. Os dez animais integraram todos os grupos do estudo, sendo realizado um período de descanso entre tratamentos de 15 dias. Os animais receberam quatro tratamentos. No tratamento M10 metamizol na dose de 10 mg/kg, M25 – metamizol 25mg/kg e M10T2 - 10 mg/kg de metamizol associado a 2mg/kg de tramadol e no M25T2, 25 mg/kg de metamizol com 2mg/kg de tramadol. Todos os tratamentos foram feitos em dose única e por via intravenosa. Após tempos pré-determinados, foram coletadas amostras de sangue para posterior análise. Alíquotas de plasmas foram processadas e injetadas no sistema cromatográfico de ultra performance acoplado a espectrômetro de massa (UPLC-MS/MS). Durante as coletas, os animais eram observados para possíveis manifestações adversas. Os parâmetros avaliados foram: a concentração plasmática máxima (Cmax), o tempo para atingir a Cmax (Tmax), a área sob a curva de concentração plasmática do tempo zero até ao momento da última concentração mensurável (AUC0→t) e a extrapolação da AUC até ao infinito (AUC0→ ∞), volume de distribuição aparente (Vz/F), depuração aparente (CL/F), constante de eliminação (Ke); meia-vida de eliminação (t1/2); Tempo médio residual até o momento da última mensuração (MRT0→ t ), Tempo médio residual do momento zero até o infinito(MRT0→ ∞), para os fármacos e seus principais metabólitos. Nos grupos M10 e M25, os parâmetros AUC0→t, AUC0→ ∞, Cmax apresentaram um aumento significativo nos dois metabólitos do metamizol nos animais do grupo M25. Enquanto que o Tmax, Vz/F e o Cl/F não tiveram diferença estatística entre os grupos. Após administração intravenosa dos tratamentos M10T2 e M25T2, o TRA, MAA, AA foram detectados em até 24 horas de análise e o M1 até 12 horas. Analisando o metabólito do TRA, observou-se que a AUC0→ ∞ e o CL/F foi maior no grupo tratado com 10mg/kg de metamizol quando comparado com o de 25 mg/kg. Enquanto o t ½; MRT0→ ∞; MRT0→ t apresentam-se significativa maiores no grupo M25T2. Em relação ao seu subproduto, o M1, o t1/2; MRT0→ ∞; MRT0→ t apresentaram-se significativamente maiores no segundo grupo. O Vz/F; MRT 0→ ∞, t 1/2 do MAA e o MRT0→ t do AA variou significativamente entre os grupos sendo maiores nos animais que receberam 25mg/kg de Metamizol. Com base nos resultados é possível afirmar que obteve êxito uma vez que foi possível desenvolver método analítico capaz de detectar e quantificar ambos os fármacos e seus principais metabolitos no sangue de asinino por até 48 horas. Além disso, comprovou que existem alterações em alguns parâmetros farmacocinéticos quando há administração de diferentes doses de metamizol e que as mesmas interferem no metabolismo do próprio metamizol como também tramadol e de seu metabólito mais ativo, o O-desmetiltramadol e que esses achados podem subsidiar futuros ensaios clínicos para eficácia analgésica ou mesmo estabelecer posologia adequada para jumentosCoordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPE
Mecanismos Autonômicos de Tolerância a Falhas para Sistemas Distribuídos
As facilidades de processamento e comunicação oriundas das novas tecnologias têm promovido o surgimento de uma nova classe de ambientes distribuídos. Estes ambientes são caracterizados pela dinamicidade em suas composições, no provisionamento de seus recursos e nas características e requisitos de suas aplicações. Isto traz novos desafios à confiabilidade, a qual é um atributo essencial à grande maioria dos sistemas distribuídos modernos. Um destes desafios está na incapacidade, dos mecanismos tradicionais de tolerância a falhas, de atender aos requisitos de desempenho, ao mesmo tempo em que suportam a confiabilidade. Isto porque o projeto destes mecanismos requer um conhecimento prévio das características dos ambientes e de suas aplicações, para que possam oferecer configurações adequadas ao atendimento dos requisitos especificados -- isto representa um problema, uma vez que, nos ambientes distribuídos modernos, estas informações mudam dinamicamente. Neste contexto, nem mesmo os mecanismos adaptativos de tolerância falhas obtêm sucesso, pois realizam a sua configuração dinamicamente, mas confiam em comportamentos e requisitos definidos em tempo de projeto. Para enfrentar este desafio, esta Tese introduz os mecanismos autonômicos de tolerância a falhas, baseados em teoria de controle e capazes de se auto-configurar face às mudanças dinâmicas nas características do ambiente ou nos requisitos de suas aplicações. Com o intuito de demonstrar a viabilidade destes mecanismos, foram implementados e avaliados, como estudo de caso, detectores autonômicos de defeitos e protocolos autonômicos de comunicação em grupo, dois mecanismos básicos à construção de muitos sistemas distribuídos confiáveis. Estes mecanismos autonômicos de detecção e de comunicação em grupo são os primeiros da literatura a suportar a auto-configuração em tempo de execução, baseada em requisitos de qualidade de serviço definidos pelos usuários. Tais mecanismos foram avaliados, usando simulações, em condições de carga variadas e falhas. Mesmo sem trabalhos relacionados, para uma comparação direta de desempenho, os mecanismos autonômicos propostos foram comparados com mecanismos tradicionais de tolerância a falhas existentes na literatura. Estes mecanismos tradicionais usaram diferentes configurações definidas por parâmetros manualmente fixados. Os experimentos realizados demonstram que os mecanismos autonômicos propostos possuem, na maioria dos casos, desempenho superior que as diferentes configurações dos mecanismos tradicionais considerados, principalmente quando variações nas características da carga, mudanças nos requisitos ou reconfigurações dinâmicas no ambiente são considerados.Salvado
The Godhead as a theological foundation of interreligious dialogue; drawn from the writings of Meister Eckhart and Raimundo Panikkar
Interreligious dialogue has emerged in the last twenty-five years as a unique response to the global situation. The dissertation focuses on the spiritual dimensions of dialogue, and proposes an interreligious foundation based on Meister Eckhart\u27s desert of the Godhead and on Raimundo Panikkar\u27s speculative work in cross-cultural spiritual hermeneutics. Part One of the dissertation deals with the historical background of dialogue, and investigates the early field of comparative religion, and the theocentric and Christocentric approaches. Further the spirituality of dialogue is explored with reference to the writings of Teilhard de Chardin, Ewert H. Cousins, Leonard Swidler, and others; and the author presents and critiques the contributions of Wilfred Cantwell Smith and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. Next, a detailed study of Raimundo Panikkar\u27s speculative cosmotheandrism is considered in light of the overall dialogic project. In this study, the author attempts to uncover both the historical developments in scholarship which have contributed to the current dialogic atmosphere and the underlying assumptions, questions, and concerns of the interreligious theologian. In order to explore these issues, the author considers the main methodological, epistemological, and hermeneutical approaches currently being discussed in interreligious scholarship. In Part Two, these various approaches to dialogue are seen in light of the mystical theology of Meister Eckhart. Here the dissertation looks toward a theological foundation of dialogue in Meister Eckhart\u27s theme of the God beyond God. Particular attention is given to his notion of the desert of the Godhead, the dynamism of reality, and the oneness beyond distinction as important contributions to interreligious scholarship. The author investigates the ramifications of Eckhart\u27s mysticism to interreligious dialogue and how his doctrine of God can be fruitfully applied to the interreligious question. Finally, the author presents a speculative foundation for dialogue based on a multidimensional notion of Ultimate Reality
