Fatty acid composition and tocopherol content in four Tunisian Hypericum species: Hypericum perforatum, Hypericum tomentosum, Hypericum perfoliatum and Hypericum ericoides Ssp. Roberti
No full textAbstractThe fatty acid and tocopherol constituents of four Tunisian Hypericum species: Hypericum perforatum, Hypericum perfoliatum, Hypericum tomentosum and the endemic subspecies Hypericum ericoides Ssp. Roberti were analyzed in detail. Results revealed that all species have very low total lipid contents (0.6–3.5mg/gdw). The major identified fatty acids were linoleic (11.21–37.62%), oleic (11.2–23.27%) and palmitic acid (4.03–20.67%). Analysis of tocopherols allowed the identification of three isoforms (α-, γ- and δ-tocopherols). The δ-tocopherol (2.69–22.32μg/gdw) was found as the prominent tocopherol. Quantitative differences in the fatty acid and tocopherol profiles between Hypericum species were observed. H. perfoliatum and H. ericoides Ssp. Roberti showed significantly higher content of linoleic acid, whereas significantly higher amounts of oleic acid and palmitic acid were detected in H. perforatum and H. tomentosum, respectively. Multivariate analysis (principal components analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis) based on the fatty acid profiles joined H. perfoliatum and H. ericoides in one group, while H. perforatum and H. tomentosum were joined in a second group at the same linkage distance. PSEUDOTUMORAL PRESENTATION OF NEURO-BEHÇET DISEASE: A CONFUSING DIAGNOSIS
Get PDFA 35-year-old man was referred to the internal medicine department for acute hemiplegia with oral aphthous ulcers. The patient reported recurrent oral and genital ulcers more than 3 times a year. He also experienced one episode of peripheral thrombosis 1 year ago. The physical examination showed left hemiparesis with positive Babinski sign, hyperreflexia, and pseudofolliculitis in legs and trunk. The pathergy test was positive. Cerebral MRI showed a large mass hyperintense in T2 sequence in the regions of basal ganglia and corpus callosum with peripheral contrast enhancement and intensive edema around the lesion. The diagnosis of pseudotumoral neuro-Behçet disease was made on the basis of clinical history, the cerebral MRI result, and the exclusion of other tumoral and infectious diseases. The patient was treated with corticosteroids and cyclophosphamide with favorable outcome

No full textOur study object turns around La vie devant soi, a novel by Romain Gary under the alias name of Emile Ajar. We try to shows the importance of the relation linking Gary with his fictional tale, because inside his rapport the author constructs his image, which is the ethos by which he can represent himself and creating a fictional character carrying the story of his life. We also exposes the importance of the presence of the metalepses inside the fictional literary text that seeks to identify the nature of the author�s alienation in relation with his work and his readers and interrogates about the role that the fictional literature plays in the construction of the literary discourse.Notre présente étude porte sur La vie devant soi, un roman signé par Emile Ajar que Romain Gary a pris comme pseudonyme et vise à montrer l�importance du lien unissant Gary avec son récit de fiction car c�est à l�intérieur de ce rapport que se construit l�image de soi de l�auteur, à savoir l�ethos par lequel il peut s�auto-représenter, tout en créant un personnage fictif portant et véhiculant l�histoire de sa vie. Nous soulevons ici l�importance de la présence de la métalepse à l�intérieur du texte littéraire de fiction qui cherche à identifier la nature de l�appartenance de l�auteur par rapport à son oeuvre et à ses lecteurs et s�interroge sur le rôle que joue l�écriture fictive dans la construction d�un discours littéraire

The main character is in search of the meaning of his own life, a coherence of values and feelings; this quest is defined as a battle against social, legal and religious constraints,and generates a conception of life as an area of freedom and aspiration to authenticity. My objective was to point out the origins of the genre in order to highlight the specificity of the picaresque hero in Dassoucy's works, quite different from traditional picaresque. Like many writers of his time, Theophile de Viau, Cyrano and Chapelle, Dassoucy shows us the dark side of the Great Century. Libertine thought is not the prerogative of Dassoucy, but it is much clearer in his work. It is the libertinism of a way of life, whose features appear in the Diogenic obscenity of the author, in his impostures, and especially in his libertine discourse, loaded wîth audacious, obscene and blasphemous rernarks. Ali constraints are rejected. The complexity of the text constitutes the modernity of such a libertinism. The reader is obliged to break with his Iiterary conventions and habits in order to decipher the burlesque writing of Dassoucy.Dassoucy a fait de ses Aventures burlesques un plaidoyer « historique ». Il se présente comme un personnage en quête de son existence, d'une cohérence de valeurs et de sentiments ; cette quête se définit comme une bataille contre les contraintes sociales,juridiques et religieuses, et génère une conception de la vie comme espace de liberté et d'aspiration à l'authenticité.Mon objectif était de rappeler les origines du genre pour mettre en évidence la spécificité du héros picaresque chez Dassoucy, tout à fait différente du picaresque traditionnel. Comme de nombreux écrivains de son époque, Théophile de Viau, Cyrano et Chapelle,Dassoucy nous montre l'envers du Grand~siècle. La pensée libertine n'est pas l'apanage de Dassoucy mais elle est beaucoup plus claire chez lui.
