Saussure’s framework (1972, 2002) has been pointed as an important theoretical reference to reflect about language acquisition process, especially for interactionist researchers, who elect the error as preferential data analysis. Since De Lemos (2002) proposal, there is a need to show how the children are submitted to language, in instances that enable their constitution as speaking subjects. The objective here is to reflect on some errors in Brazilian children speech, which concerns the lexical acquisition, taking into account the controversial dichotomy between language and speech in Saussure. This author affirms that it is listening to others that we "learn" the mother tongue. The errors discussed here allowed surprising the pulsation of language in the child's speech during the language acquisition process; in other words, in the language functioning uninterrupted game and its effects, which emphasize the indissociability between language and speech.O quadro de Saussure (1972, 2002) tem se mostrado importante referencial teórico para refletir sobre o processo de aquisição da linguagem, especialmente para pesquisadores interacionistas, que elegem o erro como dado privilegiado de análise.

Many irregular verbs descriptions and the portuguese verbal paradigms were presented in Chapter 2. The explanations founded about the verbal irregularity were varied. Many authors run over Latin to recuperate the evolution of a verbal item in the language. In fact, many of the verbal radical irregularities are related to the phonetic transformations occured to that item. It was verified the division among the conjugations, in the past existed between the first conjugation and the other - formed by joining the second and third conjugations. The fact is that the descriptions treated language as a product and not as process, what is in question in language acquisiton. In Chapter 3, important works in verbal inflection acquisiton in the literature were related. First, the conexionism was foccused. It is a theorical model which concentrates its discussions in the irregular verbal inflections acquisiton's of english. In the sequence, Annette Karmiloff-smith model (1986, 1992) was brought because it proposed a treatment to mortological acquisiton and presented the U shape's discussions. Then, two works about portuguese verbal inflection were presented: Figueira (1998, 2003) and Perroni-Simões (1976). So, it's possible to trace a parallel from inflections errors founded in M's speech, subject of this thesis, and the others founded by the investigators. Perroni-Simões observed the predominance of the first conjugation errors in the verbal inflection. The explanation offered was that it was the most regular conjugation in portuguese, which concentrated a large number of regular verbs. The author proposed an acquisition order in the verbal inflection by the children. Differently, Figueira (1998) founded the dominance of second and/or third conjugation in the verbal inflections errors to one of her subject, and to the second subject, she founded a real mosaic of forms, that led her to pronunce about the unexpected character and contingent of the error. In Chapter 4, the theorical frame and the data analysis were presented. The errors in the M's speech indicated the dominance of second and/or third conjugations. However, responding just about the prevalence of one of the conjugation classes was to treat the question partially, because the language acquisiton process is a subjectivity process, where subject and language forms an unity. The changes (linguistics and subjectives) that occur in the language acquisition process are changes of position in a structure, where appears: the other, the language, and the proper subject. The outline analysis is offered by theorical mode!. It was verified in the M's speech that divergent verbal forms carne form the other's speech to her ; what was interpreted as being the first position of the child in the structure, marked by the dominance of the child's speech alienation to the other's speech. In the second position, characterized by the dominance of language's movement in the child's speech, errors were also founded in M's speech. It was observed the movement of linguistics chains, that in a parallelistic game, has given support to changes in the child's speech. The collision against fragments in the child's speech permitted her displacement in the structure, from the first to the second position. Some episodes showed the child's impermeability to the error's correction by the adult. It was verified, as it was the work's interest, that both regular and irregular verbs were submitted to the same phenomenon in the first position as in the second one. In several ways, verbal inflection error's conceded to the investigator the privilege of seeing in the child's speech the exact point of conversation of the other's speech in the proper speech (or in the subject's speech), as indicated by the theorization developed by De Lemos (1982 to 2002)DoutoradoDoutor em Linguístic

As considerações finais estão esboçadas no Capitulo VAbstract: The present work tried to interpret the mistakes on vocalic alternation verbs in M's speech (recorded weckly fron 1;06 to 3;06), by metaphorical and matonymical proposed by De Lemos (1992). According to this proposal, the mistake is understood like product of relations that are established on child speech. Some descriptions about Portuguese vocalic alternation verbs are approached in chapter 11. By those, it was possible to conclude that the explanations to the alternations are phonological and morphological anes. There is no consense about that among the authors. It seems that alternation can be considered like a variation item in Portuguese. The explanation uffered by the authors tried to approach this fact. The reality is that those descriptions ccnceive languaqe as a product and not as a process, that is what is contempled in lanquage acquisiticn. In this chapter it is concluded that language is heterogeneous and it is in constant movement; also in the case of vocalic alternation. In Chapter III some studies, from different theorical positions were summarized, what in some way, contributed to the study of the theme. Firstly, the work of Perroni Simões (1976) was approached, who has proposed that the acquisition of these verbs would happen by the apliccation of a grammatical rule. In 1977, this author and Stoel-Gammon brought up tha hypothesis that the acquisitiun of the first person was derived by the third person of singular, assumed as the basic form. The mistakes on vocalic alternation verbs were interpreted as an evidence for such hypothesis. This hypothesis was lately supported by Bybee (1985), who searched on language acquisition data the confirmation to her hypothesis about paradigms organization. Still in this chapter, the Karmiloff-Smith's (1986) model was recalled, because it suggests a treatment to morphology acquisition. At last, a social-interacionist proposal was presented from the dialogue processes definition up to the metaphorical and metonymical processes proposal described by De Lemos (1992). In chapter IV, the anaIysis of the mistakes on vocalic alternation verbs on M's speech were interpreted as a ressignification of the other's speech on the M's by metaphorical and methonymical processes. The dependence on the other's speeeh is marked by the maintenence of the opening of the root vowel as it is in the third person, revealing the similaritv with the other's speech, at the same time that occurs a substitution by the /0/ desinencial mark. It was remarked that this hybrid form was turned to occupy the same syntatic environment first accupied by the third person forms. In this way, the initial M's paradigm becomes to be established by the relations of similiarites and differences concerned to the other's speech. The final considerations are on chapter VMestradoMestre em Linguístic

This article aims at analyzing two different situations in language acquisition data from a Brazilian child (M): a) the one the child modifies her speech because of the error effect in the other’s speech, but the correct form is not produced; b) the one the child modifies her speech because of error effect in the other’s speech, in which the correct form is observed. In other words, the subject displacement is focused from second to the third position in the De Lemos’s proposal (2002). The results show: a) the fundamental role that the other’s speech has in the meaning of the interference in the relation of the child with the language, b) the error and the self-repair are guided by the same processes in language acquisition and c) it is possible to show the beginning of the listening condition in the second situation instead of the impermeability of child’s speech to the correction.

This article aims at reflecting on some errors in the lexical and verbal morphology acquisition in the speech of a Brazilian child, during the language acquisition process. To interpret these errors, the interactionist theoretical framework was used. This study focuses on dialogues in which the child reformulates his speech because of the effect of strangeness (or surprise) that his speaking errors produce in other people’s speech. Two different situations were analyzed: a) when the child reformulates what he is saying, the hearing of the language is not revealed in his speech and b) when the child reformulates what he is saying, the hearing of the language is revealed in his speech. It is argued that these phenomena allow illustrating subjective instances that identify this child’s position in his relationship to language.

This article aims to reflect on the child’s relation to language, supported by the theory developed by De Lemos (1992, 2002). In the previous study, which investigated the error and self-repair in the speech of a Brazilian child (M), two possible movements in the language acquisition process were highlighted. These movements are explored in this paper: a) when message refers to itself and b) when message refers to the code. The theoretical framework of Jakobson is the used in this interactionist approach. The results show that the child does not takethe language as an object in the same way the adult does, because he is not in the language in the same way the adult is. In addition, the parallelistic game shows how the relations in language are established and arranged in a particular and unique way in M’s speech.

The objective of this paper is to analyze some errors in the language acquisition process of Brazilian children related to the acquisition of the lexicon and some linguistic expressions. In the interactionism proposed by De Lemos (since 1982), language is not reduced to the role of social tool, purely instrumental. It is the necessary condition for the process of language acquisition and the dialogue is taken as the unit of analysis, so that the structural relationship between the child's speech and his interlocutor(s) can be shown. The results of data analysis indicate that language must be "grasped" in its unstable relationship of interiority and "exteriority" in dialogue. The errors in children's speech do not necessarily take the same referetional already crystallized by the uses of adult language. They constitute their own "provisional" axis for the establishment of relation/identification, that is, show the pragmatic flexibility in the marks of the subject in their process of language acquisition.O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar alguns erros no processo de aquisição da linguagem relacionados à aquisição do léxico e algumas expressões linguísticas na fala de crianças brasileiras.

Abstract: This article analyzes some errors produced by two Brazilian children between two and four years old, related to lexical and linguistic expressions acquisition. The traditional conception of language as communication, found in some works with a pragmatics focus in their analyses, is here questioned. The work adopts, instead, an Interactionist perspective (De Lemos 1982, 1992, 2002), which does not conceive language only as a social, purely instrumental tool, and attempts to account for the pragmatic flexibility observed in children’s speech. The results of this analysis indicate rather that language must be “captured” in its unstable relationship of interiority and exteriority in dialogue. Errors in children’s speech show that they do not necessarily take the same “referential domain” already crystallized by the uses of adult language. Children are able to establish their own axis of provisional relations, showing traces of subject’s singularity along language acquisition process.
