L’antico alla prova del contemporaneo. Intersezioni tra archeologia ed arte nelle pratiche espositive del tempo presente / The past as challenged by the present. Intersections between archaeology and art in the contemporary exhibition practices
No full textDi pari passo con la definizione del concetto di archeologia pubblica, sempre più nell’ultimo decennio, musei e parchi archeologici sono diventati crocevia di riflessioni teoriche, di verifiche e di sperimentazioni per le arti contemporanee. La mappatura di questo dialogo vitale tra archeologia e arte restituisce una cartografia articolata di musei e di siti archeologici che hanno modulato la loro proposta aprendo al contemporaneo. Una tendenza che ha contraddistinto non solo la programmazione di musei e di siti internazionali, ma con ancor maggior effetto ha orientato la ricerca dei piccoli musei. Così, attraverso esposizioni temporanee e allestimenti permanenti, l’archeologia ha ripensato al proprio statuto, al rapporto con il pubblico e con la società, rivolgendo il proprio sguardo alle traiettorie dell’arte contemporanea. Il contributo riflette sulla modalità e la metodologia con cui è stata declinata questa proposta di dialogo tra antico e presente e analizza alcuni casi esemplari di questa prospettiva. Hand in hand with the definition of Public Archaeology, increasingly in the last decade, museums and archaeological parks have become a crossroads of theoretical reflections, verifications and experimentation for contemporary art. The mapping of this active dialogue between archaeology and art gives a complex cartography of museums and archaeological sites that have modified their cultural proposal opening up to the contemporary art. This trend has characterized not only the museums and international sites programming, but has even oriented the research of small museums. Thus, through temporary exhibitions and permanent collections, archaeology has rethought its own theoretical foundations, its relationship with the public and society, turning its gaze to the trajectories of contemporary art. This essay reflects on the methods and methodology of this dialogue between the past and the present and analyzes some exemplary cases of this experience

In esse l’artista trova un momento fondamentale della sua ricerca e al tempo stesso il viatico di una prassi antiautoritaria. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
