Improvise interface design of UTHM academic online resources e-learning system (author) / Azizul Zamri Muhamed Amin
Education is very important especially in these challenging times. Various technologies day by day are growing, also the current educational technology. If in the past the traditional delivery of education there should be a lecturer in front and students listened to what the lecturer presented orally. Now keeping pace with technology education where knowledge is delivered not only in accordance with the timetable in the classroom, but can also be delivered on-line and accessible regardless of time and place restrictions call as blended learning techniques. Blended learning is used to deliver knowledge among technology websites, videos, interactive cd, multimedia equipment and many more. The availability of this technology has triggered a variety of learning techniques such as blended learning. There are so many systems that can can support learning techniques process such as Online Academic Online Resources (AUTHOR), an e-learning system used by UTHM. A learning management system must be developed with creativity and innovative features in terms of interface design and system capability to ensure the effectiveness of the system for lecturers and students. Therefore the purpose of this study is to find out why lecturers and students at the Faculty Of Computer Science and Information Technology, UTHM are not fully utilized this e-learning system (AUTHOR). The findings shows that through the development of a workable prototype with improvise interface design using blended learning concept can be applied in this e-learning system (AUTHOR). Hopefully with this improvised interface design will attract the lecturers and students more to fully utilized this system in the future
Modelling of multi-axial ultimate elastic wall stress (UEWS) test for glass fibre reinforced epoxy (GRE) composite pipes

room temperature for glass fibre reinforced epoxy (GRE) composite pipes. The model developed,
predicts the stress-strain response caused by the combined, static and cyclic of UEWS loading taking
into effects of transverse matrix cracking within the laminates. The procedure, although not a standard
method, seems to provide a good alternative to the current raw materials' re-qualification procedure
delineated in ISO 14692 through ASTM D2992. The effective transverse and shear modulus of the
lamina due to increasing presence of transverse matrix cracking were estimated. Classical laminate
analysis was then applied to compute the corresponding ply properties as a function of increasing
stress and strain. The model shows a good agreement with the experimental results of multiaxial
UEWS tests on ±55° filament wound glass-reinforced epoxy pipes

This research conducted focusing on “The Effectiveness of Integrated Marketing Communication Used by UMW Pennzoil Distribution Sdn Bhd, Shah Alam in Promoting Lubricant Oil”. Since a marketing communication is quite important nowadays, customers’ point of view are very important to ensure the effectiveness of marketing communication in term of marketing activities is high. The main objectives are (1) To investigate whether UMW Pennzoil Sdn Bhd is able to create an effective communication using their integrated marketing communication tools, (2) To determine the level of commitments for promotions by UMW Pennzoil Sdn Bhd, (3) To determine the most effective element in Integrated Marketing Communication for promoting lubricant oil and (4) To determine the solution and recommendation for suitable marketing communication tools. The respondents of this study were public in Shah Alam, Selangor area. 100 questionnaires had been distributed among them. The researcher had used convenience sampling as the sampling technique. The process of analyzing and interpreting data has been presented by tables and figures using method of analysis such as reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis and correlation analysis. Social and environmental reporting practices of organisations operating in, or sourcing products from, a developing country : evidence from Bangladesh
This research consists of a broad study in three parts of the social and environmental reporting practices of organisations operating in or sourcing products from a developing country, in this case Bangladesh. The first part of this study explores the social and environmental disclosure practices of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the body responsible for organising the activities of 4,200 entities involved in the export of garments from Bangladesh. By way of interview, this part documents the opinions of numerous senior executives from the BGMEA with regard to any changes in the degree of social and environmental pressures since 1985. Utilising a complementary theoretical perspective that includes legitimacy theory, stakeholder theory and institutional theory this part then performs an analysis of the BGMEA's annual reports (1987-2005), t o explore the link between the perceived pressures and changes entailed therein and the social and environmental disclosure practices of the BGMEA across the period of analysis. The results show that the disclosure practices of BGMEA appear to be directly driven by the changing expectations of multinational buying companies- the group deemed to be the most powerful stakeholder group. This section is the first known study to interview managers from a large organisation in a developing country about shifting stakeholder expectations and then to link these changing expectations to annual report disclosures across an extended period of analysis. \ud

The findings then directly lead to the second major part of this thesis which investigates the social and environmental disclosure practices of two major multinational buying companies: Nike and H&M. Adopting a joint consideration of legitimacy theory and media agenda setting theory, this second part investigates the linkage between negative media attention and positive corporate social and environmental disclosures over a 19 year period. The results support the view that for those industry-related social and environmental issues that attract the greatest amount of negative media attention, these companies react by providing positive social and environmental disclosures. The results were particularly significant in relation to labour practices in developing countries-the issue that attracts the greatest amount of negative media attention for the companies in question. \ud

While the second part demonstrates that the media influences particular disclosure practices, the third part of the thesis shows what drives the media. Based on the speculation provided in the second part, the third part tests the proposition that the media is an important ally of NGOs in their quest to influence change in corporate accountabilities. Through the use of interviews, the results of this part of the study provide evidence to support previously untested perspectives about NGOs' utilisation of the m edia. The results reveal that NGOs use the media because the media is responsible for creating real changes in the operations and disclosure policies of organisations sourcing products from Bangladesh. \ud

The various pressures impacting the activities of organisations operating in or sourcing products from developing countries constitutes a fascinating area of investigation, and it is hoped that this study will motivate further research in this area

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh bahwa dalam menjalankan sebuah
bisnis atau usaha, salah satu hal yang dianggap penting yaitu melakukan
pemasaran terhadap produk yang dihasilkan. Apakah strategi pemasaran yang
diterapkan Usaha Roti Bakar Khas Bandung Khansa Group dalam meningkatkan
pendapatan keluarga dapat berjalan dengan baik dan dapat meningkatkan taraf
ekonomi keluarga pedagang roti bakar khas Bandung Khansa Group. Permasalah
dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi pemasaran roti bakar Khas
Bandung Khansa Group dalam meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi keluarga Di
Kecamatan Lubuk Dalam, Apa kendala yang dihadapi usaha roti bakar Khas
Bandung Khansa Group dalam meningkatkan pendapatan ekonomi keluarga Di
Kecamatan Lubuk Dalam, Bagaimana tinjauan ekonomi syariah terhadap strategi
penjualan roti bakar Khas Bandung Khansa Group dalam meningkatkan
pendapatan ekonomi keluarga Di Kecamatan Lubuk Dalam.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (Field Research).
Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer. Sumber data primer
dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan angket. Populasi dalam
penelitain ini berjumal 12 pedagan Roti Bakar Khas Bandung Khansa Group dan
sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling. Dalam metode
pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, angket,
dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif
kualitatif.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan strategi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh
pedagang roti bakar khas bandung Khansa Group dalam meningkatkan
pendapatan keluarga cukup memadai dengan menggunakan bauran pemasaran
(marketing mix), dari segi produk menggunakan bahan baku yang berkualitas dan
memiiki beragam cita rasa pada roti bakar, dari segi harga menetapkan harga
sesuai dengan cita rasa yang dipilih konsumen dan juga menetapkan harga sesuai
dengan harga pasaran, dari segi tempat strategis karena dipinggir jalan raya, dari
segi promosi melakukan promosi lewat media online dan promosi secara
langsung. walaupun ada beberapa hambatan seperti permodalan yang terbatas dan
kurangnya manajemen dalam menjalankan Usaha Roti Bakar Khas Bandung
Khansa Group. Dalam prespektif ekonomi syariah strategi pemasaran yang
dilakukan oleh para pedagang roti bakar khas bandung Khansa Group sudah
sesuai, baik dari segi produk, harga, tempat berdagang dan promosi yang
dilakukan.

The effect of pre-cooling method PRIOR YO-YO Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1 among NFDP Youth Soccer Player / Azrul Fahmi Azizul
The purpose of this study is to dete1mine the effect of pre-cooling method prior to Yo¬ Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level I (YYIRTLI) among National Football Development Program (NFDP) youth soccer player. Consist of 24 U 14 players that had been chosen for the test. The athletes will examine two tests, with and without pre-cooling before performing YYIR TLI. The athletes will seat in the water tube for 2-5 minutes that temperature was 10-15 °C. The result will be taken in meter to see the distance covered by the athletes. Based on the result, it show a significant different between both test (N = 24, M = 733.91, SD= 377.28) p < 0.005. As a conclusion, pre¬ cooling method can give an effect towards body in endurance training. The fatigue level had been delayed while performing an exercise and pre-cooling method maybe one of the methods that can be used for athletes prior to training or tournaments
PERSEPSI DAN MINAT MASYARAKAT TENTANG BANK SYARIAH DI DESA WATESKROYO KECAMATAN BESUKI KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG
Skripsi yang berjudul “Persepsi dan Minat Masyarakat Tentang Bank Syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung” ini diteliti oleh Muhamad Fahmi Azizul Farhan, NIM. 12401183239, dan Dosen Pembimbing Dr. Zulfatun Ni’mah, S.H.I, M. Hum.
Bank syariah telah lama hadir di wilayah Kabupaten Tulungagung. Terutama di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki. Meski masyarakatnya mayoritas beragama islam, namun masih banyak yang belum menjadi nasabah bank syariah.
Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Bagaimana persepsi masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung?, 2) Bagaimana minat masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai persepsi masyarakat tentang bank syariah dan Untuk mengetahui minat masyarakat tentang bank syariah di Desa Wateskroyo Kecamatan Besuki Kabupaten Tulungagung.
Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Studi kasus ini merupakan studi yang mendalam tentang individu dan berjangka waktu yang relatif lama, terus menerus serta menggunakan objek tunggal, artinya kasus dialami oleh satu orang. Dalam studi kasus peneliti mengumpulkan data mengenai diri subjek dari kedaan masa sebelumnya, masa sekarang dan lingkungan sekitarnya.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Minimnya persepsi masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo tentang bank syariah sangatlah rendah, kurangnya informasi dan sosialisasi dari pihak bank membuat masyarakat tidak mengenal apa itu bank syariah. Meskipun ada yang mengetahui bank syariah tetapi mereka hanya tahu secara umum saja tidak secara mendetail tentang bank syariah, 2) Kurang berminatnya masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo untuk menjadi nasabah bank syariah disebabkan karena kurangnya informasi dari pihak bank syariah. Selain sedikitnya informasi yang didapat, ada hal lain yang membuat masyarakat Desa Wateskroyo masih belum memiliki minat untuk menjadi nasabah di bank syariah yaitu karena letak lokasi bank syariah yang dianggap jauh dari tempat tinggal mereka, membuat mereka lebih memilih menggunakan bank konvensional yang ada di Kecamatan Besuki dimana jarak lokasinya tidak jauh dari tempat tinggal mereka.

ES-NMS: An Expert System for Non- Motorized Transportation Strategies towards EcoCampus in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)
The advancement of technology has led to the introduction of Artificial Intelligence such as expert systems to be used in solving issues regarding to transportation. Expert system is a computer program that is able to perform problem solving tasks at the same level as a human expert. This will be useful as an alternative solution to tackle the inaccessibility and shortage of human experts in certain region of the world. The objective of this study is to develop an expert system to implement strategies for non-motorized transportation system within Universiti Malaysia Sabah. The bulk of the data is obtained through the use of questionnaire given to the human experts to provide the strategies for the non-motorized transportation system. Using the feedback given by the human experts, the expert system is developed by using Microsoft Visual Basic 2013. The developed system is then evaluated by the human experts to validate and verify the system to ensure that it is acceptable to be used by the end-user.
