    Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão.Esta tese propõe uma leitura revisionista da poesia contemporânea através do exame do caso de um dos mais esquecidos escritores norte-americanos do século XX: Laura (Riding) Jackson (1901-1991). O objetivo é demonstrar que Riding não apenas possuía uma poética definida e singular, mas que ela permanece uma das instâncias mais extremas e paradoxais do modernismo anglo-americano, a ponto de Riding abandonar a escrita da poesia em 1938. Recorrendo a conceitos de "formação do cânone" bem como às noções de "discurso" e "função do autor", em Foucault, investigo a construção do cânone da poesia moderna anglo-americana, recuperando o contexto e as circunstâncias da ocultação de Riding. Enquanto cubro os "discursos" poéticos em circulação na primeira metade do século XX-o "imagismo" de Pound, a "dissociação da sensibilidade", "impersonalidade" e "tradição" de Eliot, a "unidade orgância" e "ambigüidade" da Nova Crítica-ofereço um panorama crítico de modernismos alternativos sendo articulados à época. Minha intenção é demonstrar que os poemas de Riding são expressões vigorosas de um escritor para quem "a mente pensando se torna a força ativa do poema", para usar a apta formulação de Charles Bernstein. Entre minhas descobertas sobre as várias e complexas razões que levaram à não-canonização de Riding estão a hegemonia da Nova Crítica, o exílio voluntário de Riding da cena literária (onde são feitas ou desfeitas as reputações), sua recusa em ser antologiada, bem como em ser explicada em termos críticos que não os dela. Todos esses fatores, mais a "dificuldade" de sua poesia, contribuíram para fazer de Riding "a maior poeta esquecida da poesia norte-americana", como escreveu Kenneth Rexroth. Ajudado pelos insights de dois importantes críticos de poesia norte-americana, Charles Bernstein e Marjorie Perloff, defendo que a "poesia da mente" de Riding-onde o que está em jogo é que o que pensamos ser a nossa realidade-representa uma mudança radical no paradigma da poética modernista: de uma poesia centrada na imagem para uma poesia centrada na linguagem. Focalizando a experiência consciente e o tempo duracional do pensamento presente em seus poemas, concluo que as "pensagens" de Riding têm o objetivo preciso de constatar um fato universal: enquanto seres humanos e pensantes, estamos numa condição permanente chamada linguagem

    Plan BMany things must be taken into consideration when developing a heritage tourism site. It can be a wonderful opportunity for the community involved to benefit economically and historically. Heritage tourism can keep alive the heritage and traditions of the communities past. When it is discovered that a heritage site exists, the first step is to consult with the community. A site will not succeed without the acceptance and assistance from the community involved. Once the interest is known, the development process can proceed. After determining that there is a heritage tourism site possibility in their area, a commumity must do research to determine the feasibility of the site, what will make it a success, and how to obtain that success. This study will examine a community with a heritage tourism site that has been successful in developing and maintaining it's site. By conducting this study, other communities seeking information for developing their site will have an example and tool to work with. The site chosen for this study is the Laura Ingalls Wilder site in Pepin, Wisconsin. The town is rich with it's heritage associated with Laura Ingalls Wilder. The development and success for this town will be documented through this study. Laura Ingails Wilder is a perfect choice for examining heritage tourism. The author of many American Pioneer books, she has become famous all over the world. In turn all places that she or her family members lived are or are becoming heritage tourism sites. There are older ones that have been in progress for some years, such as the one in Pepin, and there are ones that are being discovered through the popularity of new books written about Laura's family. These communities would benefi greatly from the information this study will produce. Without the bene-fit of this knowledge communities who are unaccustomed to tourism or the way the other Laura Ingalls Wilder sites operate, may make terrible errors in development, tarnishing the site. This may also reflect badly on the other Laura Ingalls Wilder sites. It is important for new Wilder sites to examine all information and know exactly what they are doing when developing the site. If all the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites can benefit from each other's knowledge and experience it will greatly increase the market for all sites. The more detailed and expansive the sites are about their knowledge and sites to see, the more people are going to want to travel to as many sites as possible, learning all they can about the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family. These sites not only attract Laura Ingalls Wilder fans but all people that are interested in the American Pioneer period of the United States history. This study will provide the knowledge for communities who are developing heritage tourism sites, especially those focusing on Laura Ingalls Wilder. This is a very important study for tourism and especially heritage tourism. When a heritage site is discovered communities run into the barrier of not having the experience and knowledge to develop the site properly. This study will analyze tourism in Pepin, Wisconsin to determine it's successfulness due to the fact that it is a Laura Ingalls Wilder heritage tourism site, and Wfit was developed in a way to provide tourists with a view of Laura Ingalls Wilder's past and the past of many Pioneer Americans. By studying this subject it will allow for many people to benefit. Tourist who are seeking the pleasure of the knowledge of the past, and communities who want to preserve their past and profit from tourism

    La presente propuesta consiste en desarrollar e insertar el concepto de centro de compras experiencial en el supermercado retail Emilio Luque ubicado en el micro centro de la ciudad de Santiago del Estero, cuyo propósito esencial es reposicionar estratégicamente a la empresa para agregarle valor percibido en el mercado para establecer una diferenciación con respecto a sus competidores. El mercado supermercadista retail en el área centro y micro centro de la ciudad mencionada presenta características de competencia pura, encontrándose diez empresas del rubro con características similares en cuanto al modelo de negocio y servicios. Uno de los aspectos destacados en este modelo de negocio es la disposición y entrega en las góndolas de diversas líneas de productos de manera directa a los consumidores finales. En ello se debe resaltar que la interacción entre empresa y clientes en el proceso de compra, servicios brindados y experiencia de compra es sustancial para fidelizar al segmento seleccionado. Es por este motivo significativo y primordial que la calidad del servicio representa la esencia fundamental de la satisfacción de los clientes. En la actualidad el salón del supermercado retail Emilio Luque tiene infraestructura en partes con amplios locales y espacios que representan costos ociosos no transformados y potenciados en fortalezas internas. En esta lógica lo eficiente seria que el salón de ventas e instalaciones complementarias sean empleadas totalmente en su capacidad. La no utilización de estos espacios es una cuestión que deriva de la escasa planificación estratégica, limitado análisis situacional, insuficiente adaptación a los cambios e implementación de innovaciones.     Aspectos de la prefijación y de la traducción en la correspondencia exhaustiva en español con el prefijo italiano ri-

    El par ri-/“re-” representa uno de esos casos en los que se crea un “embudo” en la traducción del italiano al español, pues a la alta productividad que el prefijo tiene en la primera le corresponde un uso muy limitado de su equivalente en la segunda. Ambas lenguas comparten la etimología latina del afijo, pero, desde luego, presentan un desarrollo muy diferente a nivel de conceptualización y de lexicalización semántica de las palabras a las que derivan, razón por la cual es tan frecuente la existencia de parónimos en este tipo de formaciones. Si bien son numerosos los estudios de este prefijo aspectual en los idiomas objeto de este trabajo ‒recordemos, para el italiano, los de Dardano (1978), Scalise (2001), Gaeta&Ricca (2003) e Iacobini (2004); y, para el español, los de Capanaga (1999) y Varela&Martín Gracia (1999), entre otros‒, un aspecto bastante olvidado de la prefijación en general es el que se refiere a la comparación de lenguas, que, a su vez, como observa Sgroi (2007: 172), es el reflejo del escaso tratamiento que esta recibe en los diccionarios bilingües, en los que la definición de los lemas derivados no dan muestra de la riqueza semántica adquirida mediante derivación. Por consiguiente, partiendo de los estudios mencionados y de los trabajos existentes a nivel contrastivo y traductológico ‒ como los de Pernuzzi (2018) y Luque Toro (2020) ‒, que nos servirán como marco teórico para nuestro trabajo, nos proponemos ahondar en el papel relacional y sintáctico que caracteriza a ri- en italiano y en la pluralidad semántica que aporta a las bases léxicas, con el objetivo de dar un paso más en la investigación de los diferentes mecanismos de cada lengua y en la búsqueda de correspondencias con el español, huyendo del tópico de las traducciones con el prefijo “re-”, la perífrasis reiterativa ‘volver a + infinitivo’ o la complementación adverbial. Para ello, colocaremos una muestra significativa de derivados en diferentes contextos pragmáticos, pues es el uso el factor que condiciona la interpretación aspectual del prefijo, sobre todo porque ri-, aunque se limita principalmente a expresar la repetición, el movimiento en sentido contrario, la intensificación, etc., logra localizar la realidad extralingüística en la mente de los hablantes en términos espaciales, temporales y nocionales, que no siempre son transparentes a causa de su extensión figurativa

    Increasing Impact of Scholarly Journal Articles: Practical Strategies Librarians Can Share

    Researchers are extremely interested in increasing the impact of their individual scholarly work, and may turn to academic librarians for advice and assistance. Academic librarians may find new roles as consultants to authors in methods of self-archiving and citation analysis. Librarians can be proactive in this new role by disseminating current information on all citation analysis tools and metrics, as well as by offering strategies to increase Web visibility of scholarship to interested faculty. Potential authors of journal articles, especially those faculty seeking greater research impact, such as those seeking promotion and tenure, will find practical suggestions from librarians invaluable.     Open access policymaking: roles for academic librarians as “change agents” in research institutions

    Many institutions have voted to pass open access policies. It has often been stated that a “faculty champion” needs to be identified in order for any policy to move successfully through various university stakeholder groups. Librarians have been warned not to make open access a “library issue.” At the same time, academic librarians already possess demonstrated expertise in repository development, have established liaison relationships with departmental faculty, and are most likely to have deep knowledge of scholarly communication and publishing trends. Librarians can leverage this expertise and experience by taking on open access leadership roles in the wider institution. Academic librarians can become true change agents in the transformation of institutional scholarly communication practices. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, working through a small Senate open access subcommittee with librarian leadership provided by the authors, successfully passed an open access policy resolution in October, 2012.This paper, presented at the QQML Conference in Rome in June, 2013 will be published in the QQML e-journal.Mullen, Laura Bowering and Jane Johnson Otto (2013).
