No full textL’articolo riporta l’intervista a Luca Galassi, giornalista e scrittore, e si inserisce in un progetto di ricerca dedicato all\u27impatto simbolico e sociale degli attentati mafiosi del 1993 contro il patrimonio artistico italiano. Nel contributo l’attenzione si sposta dalle responsabilità penali ai danni inflitti all’arte e alla memoria collettiva. In particolare, l’articolo ricostruisce la nascita del video “La Cura”, il quale documenta il restauro del quadro I Giocatori di Carte di Bartolomeo Manfredi, gravemente danneggiato nella strage di via dei Georgofili nel 1993. L’articolo, infine, evidenzia il valore del recupero artistico come resistenza alla violenza mafiosa e atto di impegno civile.The article features an interview with Luca Galassi, journalist and writer, and is part of a research project dedicated to the symbolic and social impact of the 1993 Mafia attacks against Italy\u27s artistic heritage. In the contribution, the focus shifts from criminal responsibility to the damage inflicted on art and collective memory. In particular, the article reconstructs the birth of the video ‘The Cure’, which documents the restoration of the painting I Giocatori di Carte by Bartolomeo Manfredi, severely damaged in the 1993 Via dei Georgofili massacre. Finally, the article highlights the value of artistic recovery as a resilience to mafia violence and an act of civil commitment

No full textA Course in Nuclear thermal-hydraulics was organized by UNIPI in Sofia at the time of the cold war (Soviet Union collapsed in 1991). Contacts crossing the iron curtain were extremely complex. The entire Course consists of several hundred slides (all preserved in paper format by the corresponding author) and a couple dozen lectures (see copies below). Two pages from the Course are reported below. The current lecture deals with the selected topics relevant in nuclear thermal-hydraulics –more details can be found in the copied program below

No full textThe historian and journalist Giuseppe Galassi (San Biagio di Argenta, 1890 – Roma, 1957), one of the most important critic and expert of Byzantine art and late antiquity sculpture and architecture during the first half of the last century, did not have the notoriety he should have been merited with Italian studies. Yet, since his youth, he played a leading role in art Italian literature, as testified by the words dedicated to him by Carlo Ludovico Ragghinati in his famous work Profile of art criticism in Italy(Second edition, Florence 1973), but now him has been forgotten from a academic world. An omission that this essay hopes to compensate by focusing on the beginnings of Galassi's career. When was in Rome, as a young student about to graduate with Adolfo Venturi, he helped the professor, who was suffering from cataracts and therefore practically blind, in the drafting of two volumes of the VII book of the Storia dell’arte italiana dedicated to the painters from North and Central Italy from the 15 th century (edited between 1913-1914). Thanks to that occasion, Galassi participated as protagonist in the debate on the possible participation of the young Raphael in the frescoes by Perugino at the Collegio del Cambio in Perugia
