Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
EVALUASI DAMPAK PROGRAM BANTUAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KOMUNIKASI (TIK) DI SATUAN PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI (PAUD) PENGGERAK PROVINSI DKI JAKARTA
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran terkait dampak program bantuan TIK terhadap guru di satuan PAUD penerima bantuan TIK. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian evaluasi (evaluation research). Program bantuan TIK merupakan bantuan pemerintah dalam bentuk barang yang diberikan kepada satuan PAUD berupa paket TIK, serta bimbingan teknis pengelolaan perangkat TIK. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode campuran Concurrent Triangulation (triangulasi konkuren) yaitu metode campuran dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara konkuren (dalam satu waktu). Pengumpulan data kuantitatif dilakukan dengan metode penelitian komparatif, sedangkan pengumpulan data kualitatif menggunakan metode narasi. Dampak yang dievaluasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kompetensi digital profesional guru dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pengajaran mereka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pemberian program bantuan TIK tidak berdampak pada peningkatan kompetensi digital profesional guru TK di Satuan PAUD penerima program. Setelah dilakukan pengujian perbandingan rata-rata menggunakan uji mann whitney, nilai kedua kelompok berdasarkan aspek kemahiran teknologi, kompatibilitas pedagogis dan kesadaran sosial guru TK di satuan PAUD penerima lebih rendah daripada guru TK di satuan PAUD non penerima. Meskipun demikian, secara keseluruhan kelompok penerima maupun non penerima program bantuan TIK, memiliki nilai kompetensi digital profesional dengan kategori “sangat baik” sebanyak 51 % dan kategori “baik” sebanyak 38%. Dampak yang dirasa oleh penerima bantuan lebih kepada terfasilitasinya sarana pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, mengadvokasi manfaat teknologi dalam praktik pengajaran di kelas, meningkatkan pemanfaatan teknologi oleh guru untuk mencari materi pembelajaran dan menyajikannya kepada siswa serta membangun sikap yang positif terhadap teknologi.

The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the ICT aid program on teachers in PAUD units receiving ICT aid. This research is evaluation research. The ICT aid program is governmential aid provided to PAUD units as ICT packages and technical guidance about managing ICT equipment. This research uses Concurrent Triangulation method, which is a mixed method where researcher collects quantitative and qualitative data concurrently (at one time). Quantitative data collection was carried out using comparative research method, while qualitative data collection used narrative method. The impact evaluated in this research is the professional digital competence of teachers and the use of technology in their teaching. Based on research results, the provision of the ICT aid program did not have an impact on improving the professional digital competence of kindergarten teachers in PAUD units receiving the program. After testing the average comparison using Mann Whitney test, the scores of both groups based on aspects of technological proficiency, pedagogical compatibility, and social awareness of kindergarten teachers in recipient PAUD units were lower than kindergarten teachers in non-recipient PAUD units. However, in general, both recipients and non-recipients of the ICT aid program had professional digital competency scores in "very good" category of 51% and "good" category of 38%. The impact felt by aid recipients is more about facilitating technology-based learning facilities, advocating the benefits of technology in classroom teaching practices, increasing the use of technology by teachers to search for learning materials and present them to students, and building positive attitudes towards technology
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM PENGEMBANGAN DIRI SISWA DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN MINAT DAN BAKAT DI BIDANG SENI, BAHASA, DAN OLAHRAGA
Dinas Pendidikan Nasional bekerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi se-Indonesia mengadakan seleksi terhadap sekolah menengah atas diseluruh Indonesia untuk menjadi SMA model SKM, PBKL, dan PSB. Pembentukan sekolah tersebut dimaksudkan sebagai contoh bagi sekolah lain dalam pencapaian delapan Standar Pendidikan dan praktek pengembangan KTSP yang berlaku. Sebagaimana dikemukakan dalam Simposium tahunan Lembaga Penjamin Mutu Pendidikan, bahwa masih banyak sekolah yang belum mampu menjalankan praktek KTSP. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan Kurikulum X-Day sebagai program pengembangan diri siswa yang diberlakukan di SMA Plus Al-Muthahhari. Lokasi penelitian dipilih adalah SMA Plus Al-Muthahhari Bandung yang merupakan satu dari delapan sekolah model SKM, PBKL, dan PSB di Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling, koordinator kurikulum X-Day, guru, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dengan bantuan pedoman wawancara semi terstruktur dan divalidasi dengan teknik triangulasi terhadap data yang telah diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pengembangan diri siswa dirancang dan dilaksanakan berdasar pada kebutuhan dan minat siswa, serta dievaluasi dengan menggunakan model evaluasi illuminatif. Minat siswa di bidang seni, bahasa, dan olahraga sebagai dampak dari implementasi program pengembangan diri siswa berkembang menjadi keterampilan individu baik secara pemahaman maupun skill, dan menjadi jalan bagi siswa untuk menemukan bakat mereka. Kurikulum X-Day mengadopsi beberapa prinsip dalam model kurikulum humanistic dan bukan merupakan kurikulum baru. Sehingga penamaan Kurikulum X-Day sebagai program pengembangan diri siswa sebaiknya jangan digunakan, agar tidak menimbulkan persepsi dikalangan masyarakat bahwa Kurikulum X-Day merupakan kurikulum baru.

DUKUNGAN PEMERINTAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU PAUD DI MASA PANDEMI
The implementation of distance learning that applies at all levels of education as an effort to prevent the transmission of covid-19 is still experiencing many obstacles, one of which is the obstacles experienced by kindergarten teachers. The government has made various efforts to overcome these problems, both through regulations, programs to improve the skills of educators, network expansion and access to learning resources during the COVID-19 emergency. This study aims to determine the extent to which the role of government assistance can support the performance of kindergarten teachers during learning during the pandemic. The method used in this research is a survey method. Research data obtained online through the media google form. The sample of this study was 116 kindergarten teachers in the Banten area. The results showed that government assistance contributed to the performance of kindergarten teachers during the pandemic. Both in terms of professional competence, pedagogic competence, personality competence and social competence, all of them showed value in the "Good" and "Very Good" categories. While the type of assistance that was received the most by kindergarten teachers in the Banten area was assistance in the form of credit or internet quota, which was 57%, while the assistance for technology facilities in the form of smartphones, laptops, or projectors was only 5%.Pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jarak jauh yang berlaku disemua jenjang pendidikan sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan covid-19 masih mengalami banyak kendala, salah satunya adalah kendala yang dialami oleh guru PAUD. Pemerintah telah melakukan beragam upaya untuk dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut baik melalui regulasi, program-program peningkatan keterampilan pendidik, perluasan jaringan dan akses sumber belajar dimasa darurat covid-19. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana peran bantuan pemerintah tersebut dapat menunjang kinerja guru PAUD selama pembelajaran dimasa pandemic. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Data penelitian diperoleh secara oneline melalui media google form. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 113 orang guru PAUD di daerah Banten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa bantuan pemerintah berkontribusi terhadap kinerja guru PAUD selama masa pandemi. Baik dari segi kompetensi profesional, kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial, semuanya menunjukan nilai dengan kategori “Baik” dan “Sangat Baik”. Sedangkan Jenis bantuan yang paling banyak diterima guru PAUD didaerah Banten adalah bantuan berupa pulsa atau kuota internet yaitu sebesar 57%, Adapun bantuan fasilitas teknologi berupa smartphone, laptop, atau proyektor hanya sebesar 5%
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
