O sujeito na relação com o outro por meio da escrita: a apropriação de modos de dizer para inserção profissional na esfera jurídica
Get PDFTese (doutorado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro de Comunicação e Expressão, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Linguística, Florianópolis, 2014.Esta tese tomou como objeto de pesquisa a formação acadêmica de estudantes de Direito em estágio curricular no Núcleo de Práticas Jurídicas da Universidade da Região de Joinville "UNIVILLE" Campus São Bento do Sul - para interagirem em eventos de letramento requeridos em sua inserção profissional na esfera jurídica, com a seguinte questão geral de pesquisa: No Núcleo de Práticas Jurídicas em estudo, como se dá a formação acadêmica dos participantes de pesquisa para interagirem em eventos de letramento requeridos em sua inserção profissional na esfera jurídica e como essa formação incide sobre suas práticas de letramento?. A ancoragem teórica contempla uma proposta de articulação entre três construtos conceituais: a antropologia da linguagem no que respeita aos estudos do letramento, a filosofia da linguagem no âmbito do ideário bakhtiniano e a psicologia da linguagem no que concerne ao pensamento vigotskiano, o que se sustenta na compreensão de que, ressalvadas as especificidades de cada qual deles, há convergências nas concepções de língua e de sujeito, considerando que os sujeitos se apropriam da cultura na relação com o outro, sendo essa relação semioticamente mediada. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa interpretativista, configurada como estudo de caso do tipo etnográfico, cuja realização previu imersão pelo período de um ano e meio no Núcleo de Práticas Jurídicas da Universidade da Região de Joinville "UNIVILLE" Campus São Bento do Sul. Durante esse tempo, foram gerados dados a partir de vivências junto a quatro estudantes de Direito em fase de estágio curricular no Núcleo campo de estudo. Os resultados, obtidos por meio da geração de dados nesse período, indiciam o gênero petição como preponderante na interação das estudantes participantes de pesquisa com membros da esfera jurídica. Os textos produzidos nesse gênero configuravam-se, inicialmente em uma visível replicação de modelos arquivados no Núcleo, sendo evocadas as leis e as jurisprudências como principais fontes do Direito; ao final do processo, tal replicação começa a abrir espaços para o efetivo reportar do discurso de outrem a partir dessas mesmas fontes. Em razão da abordagem restrita a esse gênero da esfera jurídica, os resultados do estudo sinalizam para a necessidade de interação dos estudantes com outros gêneros do discurso da esfera do Direito a fim de facultar-lhes condições de efetiva inserção nessa esfera no que respeita aos modos de dizer. Quanto às relações intersubjetivas empreendidas no Núcleo, os dados apontam para a importância de as interações professores-estudantes serem ampliadas de modo a potencializar a apropriação conceitual na busca de uma maior autonomia discente em relação à heteronomia docente. Caracterização de vivências em eventos de letramento das esferas familiar, escolar, acadêmica e profissional sinalizam para ressignificação das práticas de letramento dessas estudantes quando da formação para o exercício profissional, apesar de elas avaliarem como insuficiente sua apropriação de conhecimentos relativos à área cível nessa mesma formação . Os dados indiciam a necessidade de abrangência de outras áreas nas atividades profissionais planejadas no Núcleo, assim como a importância de os estudantes participarem de eventos de letramento externos à universidade, em instituições jurídicas em que podem experienciar a natureza mais ampla das relações, interagindo com outros participantes em eventos de outra ordem, de modo a vivenciar em maior amplitude os modos de dizer e os modos de fazer da esfera jurídica.Abstract: This thesis took as research subject the academic training of law students in curricular internship at the Center for Legal Practice at the University of Joinville Region - UNIVILLE - Campus São Bento do Sul- to interact in literacy events required in their professional insertion in the legal sphere, with the following general research question: At the Center for Legal Practice in study how is it given de academic training of the research participants to interact in literacy events required in their professional insertion in the legal sphere and how does this training reflect on their literacy practices?. This research is qualitative, configured as a case study of ethnographic kind whose realization expected immersion for a period of a year and a half in the Center for Legal Practice at the University of Joinville Region -UNIVILLE - Campus São Bento do Sul. During this time, data were generated from experiences with four Law students in curricular internship phase in the Center study camp. The results obtained by generating data in this period suggest the gender petition as majoring in the interaction of the students research participants as members of the legal sphere. The texts produced in this genre were configured initially in a visible replication of models archived at the Center being evocated the laws and jurisprudence as main Law source; at the end of the process this replication begins to open spaces for effective reporting the speech of others from these same sources. Because of the restrict approach of this genre of legal sphere the study results point to the need for interaction of the students with others discursive genres of the Law sphere in order to give them effective conditions of insertion in this sphere in what respects the modes to say. Regarding the inter-subjective relations undertaken at the Center the data point to the importance of the interactions teacher-student to be expanded to potentialize the conceptual appropriation in search for more student autonomy in relation to the teacher heteronomy. Characterization of experiences in literacy events of the familiar, scholar, academic and professional spheres point to resignification of the literacy practices of these students when training for the professional practice, although they evaluate as insufficient their appropriation of knowledge concerning the civil area in the same training. The data indicate the need of covering other areas in the activities planned at the Center as well as the importance of the students participate in the literacy events external to the university, in legal institution in which they can experience the broader nature of the relations, interacting with other participants in different events, in order to experience in higher amplitude the modes to say and the ways to do of the legal sphere

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. O ato de dizer por escrito na esfera acadêmica: implicações conceituais de base histórico-cultural
Get PDFO ato de dizer, por meio da escrita, na universidade parece constituir desafio substantivo para muitos estudantes; vivências empíricas na docência no ensino superior têm sinalizado para isso, tanto quanto pesquisas que vêm ocupando espaços em eventos educacionais da área da linguagem. Em atenção a esses ‘sinais’, este artigo teórico tem como objetivo identificar conceitos no campo dos estudos do letramento, em interface com o ideário bakhtiniano, tomados como potenciais contributos a novas compreensões acerca de implicações histórico-culturais desse mesmo ato de dizer, por escrito, na universidade. A proposta é de que a escrita acadêmica seja compreendida como constitutiva de eventos de letramento para cuja participação são requeridas dos acadêmicos práticas de letramento que ancorem essa mesma participação, processo que demanda familiarização com os modos de dizer e os modos de fazer na universidade, do que decorre maior ou menor inserção nessa esfera da atividade humana.</jats:p

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
