No full textThe sirventes-canso "Pus ubert ai mon ric tezaur" by Peire Vidal is characterized, especially in the central part (coblas II-VII), by a particularly creative use of language which culminates in verbal invention; although commentators have grasped the allusive and etymological value of the toponymic creations in the text, the meaning hidden under these euphemisms has so far not been explained. The analysis carried out here seeks to highlight this secondary level of reading, that reveals a distinctly erotic and sometimes indecent scenario, which neverthless always remains on a playful and humorous level

The characterization of women in "fortunata y jacinta", 1977
Full text linkThis paper examines literary images of women in Galdos' Fortunata y Jacinta in an effort to cast new light on sociological perspectives of women in nineteenth-century Spanish society. The study is composed of three chapters. The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the author and his works and presents a synopsis of nineteenth-century Spanish history. It also gives a summary of Fortunata y Jacinta and relates Galdo's portrayal of feminine life to the actual life of Spanish women during the nineteenth century. The second and third chapters make up the major part of the study. Chapter two contrasts the female characters in the novel and cites examples which help to show their role in nineteenth-century Spanish society. Chapter three, an examination of the individual, class, and society in Fortunata y Jacinta, shows how nineteenth-century Spanish life had an effect on the female characters. The conclusion is that the characterization of women in Fortunata Jacinta, when compared with the actual position of women in nineteenth-century Spain, reveals that much of that era's feminine life is reflected in the novel

individuare per tale parte –che non poggia su specifici modelli antecedenti\ud
nella tradizione letteraria– una prassi nell’impiego quantitativo e qualitativo\ud
delle fonti da parte dell’autore, la tecnica di rielaborazione dei materiali\ud
desunti e, più in particolare, la logica sottesa all’organizzazione strutturale e\ud
il percorso compiuto dallo scrittore nella costruzione del capitolo.Gervase of Tilbury’s Otia imperialia are an atypical specimen\ud
of 13th small encyclopedia that draws matters from literary and folkloric\ud
reservoir. It contains a section entirely devoted to mirabilia that appears to\ud
be the most innovative part of the entire work. The paper tries to identify a\ud
practice in the author’s quantitative and qualitative use of the sources and\ud
his technique of reworking of derived materials; it also investigates the logic\ud
underlying the structural organization and the path made by the writer in\ud
