Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textAnglická anotace The theological work of Jan Valerian Jirsík Jan Hamberger This thesis deals with the theological work of the Czech 19th century author Jan Valerián Jirsík (1798-1883). Its first part consists of an introduction into the Czech historical context of the 19th century and the life of the author. Its second part presents a survey of the literary-theological work of Jirsík in three life phases: the first phase is demarked by his activity as chaplain and vicar, the second phase by his editorial activity for Casopis pro katolické duchovenstvo (trans. Magazine for catholic clergy) and the last phase by his pontifical years in the diocese of Southern Bohemia. His literary work is divided by theme into various periods, shortly described and characterized. The last and major section of this thesis deals with the most comprehensive and renown work of Jan Valerián Jirsík - Populární dogmatika (trans. Popular doctrine). This pivotal work of theologian Jirsík is discussed at large and analyzed by tractate, both apologetic and dogmatic. This study presents the results of the analysis of air pollution in Ukraine, based on satellite data Copernicus Sentinel 5p and the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service. The authors of this study present the spatial and temporal distribution of the content of the PM2.5, PM10, NO2, CO and H2CO in Ukraine. Methodology. Satellite data from Sentinel-5P is obtained via the Sentinel Hub (SH) operated by Sinergise. The Sentinel Hub supports Sentinel-5P level 2 (L2) data products which are geolocated, primarily preprocessed, and contain a “qa_value”. SP5 satellite data products are mostly measured and provided in mol/m2 units. For the purpose of the analysis presented here, the surface level concentrations of PM2.5 and PM10 were obtained through the Atmosphere Data Store (ADS) – a distributed data and information system which provides access to all CAMS datasets through unified web and API interfaces. In order to keep the observation time in line with the values monitored by the S5P satellite, daily concentrations modelled for 13:00 UTC have been used. As the database of CAMS data offered through the ADS consists of three years of the most recent data (termed a rolling archive), our analysis of PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations covers the period from 15 July 2017 to 14 July 2020. Results. According to the results of the study, areas of increased air pollution were identified, which include industrial agglomerations of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kyiv, Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions of Ukraine. Producing real data and evidence and their use must be a priority for achieving real improvements in air quality while also maintaining cost-effectiveness. Therefore, the connection of all existing ground monitoring systems and extension of the network is a necessity, especially in places that have been identified as air pollution hotspots. According to the experience of the EU countries, building a unified system operated by one authority on a national level, which also performs validation of data, seems to be the best option. This system should also be independent of external and political influences. It is advisable to use all available data on air quality, including public air monitoring systems and the results of independent scientific research, after their additional evaluation. Disclaimer. Використані супутникові дані від Sentinel-5P, що отримані через Sentinel Hub (SH), яким керує Sinergise. Центр Sentinel підтримує пакети даних Sentinel-5P рівня 2 (L2), які геолокуються, переважно попередньо обробляються, і містять “qa_value”. Продукти для супутникових даних SP5 в основному вимірюються та надаються в молях/м2. З метою представленого тут аналізу концентрації PM2,5 і PM10 на поверхневому рівні були отримані через Atmosphere Data Store (ADS) - розподілену систему даних та інформації, яка забезпечує доступ до всіх наборів даних CAMS через уніфіковані веб-інтерфейси та інтерфейси API. Для того, щоб час спостереження відповідали значенням, що відстежуються супутником S5P, використовували добові концентрації, розраховані на 13:00 UTC. Оскільки база даних CAMS, пропонована через ADS, складається з трьох останніх років даних (що називається постійно діючим архівом), наш аналіз концентрацій PM2,5 та PM10 охоплює період з 15 липня 2017 року по 14 липня 2020 року. Результати. За результатами дослідження визначено зони підвищеного забруднення атмосферного повітря, до яких належать промислові агломерації Дніпропетровської, Донецької, Київської, Луганської та Запорізької областей України. Пошук реальних даних та доказів, а також їх використання має бути пріоритетом для досягнення реальних поліпшень якості повітря, одночасно зберігаючи економічну ефективність. Тому підключення всіх існуючих систем наземного моніторингу та розширення мережі є необхідністю, особливо в місцях, які були визначені як гарячі точки забруднення повітря. Згідно з досвідом країн ЄС, найкращим варіантом видається побудова єдиної системи, що управляється одним органом влади на національному рівні, яка також здійснює перевірку даних. Ця система також повинна бути незалежною від зовнішніх та політичних впливів. Доцільно використовувати всі наявні дані про якість повітря, включаючи системи громадського моніторингу повітря та результати незалежних наукових досліджень, після їх додаткової оцінки. Застереження. The picture of Jan Palach in czech culture
No full textThis thesis deals with cultural image of Jan Palach. It focuses especially on symbols and myths contributing to construction of this image. The main emphasis is given on the concept of sacrifice - the study analyzes comparisons of Jan Palach to archetypes of Jesus Christ and young martyrs. In the second part author analyzes national dimension of Palach's cultural image. She deals with comparison of Palach to Jan Hus and analyzes Palach's funeral as a part of tradition of Czech public funerals - quiet national demonstrations. The methodology of the study is discourse analysis, which is applied not only on texts (fiction and nonfiction), but also on photographic and film footage
