Metode Bandongan merupakan salah satu metode klasik pada
pembelajaran kitab kuning yang dipakai oleh kalangan-kalangan
pesantren maupun lembaga pendidikan keagamaan lainnya, termasuk
Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Dalam rangka
mewujudkan visi misi serta cita-cita UIN Raden Intan Lampung untuk
memiliki lulusan-lulusan yang berakhlakul karimah serta memiliki
tungkat kereligiousan tinggi Ma’had Al-Jami’ah melaksanakan
kuirkulum pembelajaran dengan model pesantren kampus. Salah satu
kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan adalah kitab kuning
menggunakan metode Bandongan. Ditinjau dari hasil observasi,
wawancara dengan salah satu ustadz pengkaji dan dokumentasi yang
peneliti lakukan, peneliti melihat dari latar belakang pendidikan
mahasiswa yang masuk kedalam kampus UIN Raden Intan Lampung,
semuanya tidak dari madrasah maupun pondok pesantren . Akan
tetapi, banyak mahasiswa yang berasal dari SMA dan SMK yang
masih mempunyai keterbatasan pemahaman agama, terutama
mengenai pemaknaan kitab-kitab kuning. Penelitian ini termasuk
dalam metode penelitian lapangan (Field Research), dimana penelitian
ini lebih menekankan kepada gejala-gejala atau peristiwa yang terjadi
di masyarakat dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian
ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dimana penelitian kualitatif
deskriptif ini merupakan penelitian yang berusaha untuk
mendeskripsikan suatu peristiwa, gejala, atau kejadian yang sedang
terjadi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi,
wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Problematika yang dihadapi Ma’had
Al-Jami’ah dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran kitab kuning dengan
menggunakan metode Bandongan adalah permasalaham teknis,
Ustadz yang tidak mendampingi kegiatan sehari-hari mahasantri, latar
belakang pendidikan mahsantri yang berbeda, dan Ustadz sebagai

Talking Center. Dari hasil analisis peneliti maka diperoleh kesimpulan
bahwa pembelajaran kitab kuning dengan menggunakan metode
bandongan di Ma’had Al-Jami’ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung yaitu
diawali dengan ustadz membuka pengajian dengan mengucapkan
salam lalu ustadz bertawassul kepada Nabi Muhammad Saw,
keluarga, dan para sahabat. Karakter mahasantri dengan adanya
penggunaan metode bandongan ini adalah tawadhu’. Permasalahan
yang dihadapi oleh Ma’had Al-Jami’ah dalam melakukan
pembelajaran kitab kuning dengan menggunakan metode Bandongan
adalah Ustadz yang tidak mendampingi kegiatan sehari-hari
mahasantri, latar belakang pendidikan mahsantri yang berbeda, dan
Ustadz sebagai Talking Center.

INTERNALISASI NILAI-NILAI ISLAM WASATHIYAH DI PONDOK PESANTREN NURUL YAQIN PRINGSEWU LAMPUNG
The background of this research is based on the complexity of religious
challenges in the contemporary era which requires a moderate and inclusive Islamic
approach. Islamic education has a strategic role in shaping the character of the
younger generation. Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School in Pringsewu Lampung
is seen as a potential institution in implementing wasathiyah Islamic education that
is able to bridge the polarization of diversity. This study aims to explore the process
of internalizing the values of wasathiyah Islamic education, analyze the
implementation strategy, and examine its impact on the character building of santri.
The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data
collection techniques were conducted through in-depth interviews, participatory
observation, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman
interactive model with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion drawing. Talcott Parsons' functional structural theory approach was
used as a grand theory to dissect the phenomenon of internalizing wasathiyah
Islamic values. Through this approach, researchers sought to gain an in-depth
understanding of the strategy of internalizing moderate values at Nurul Yaqin
Islamic Boarding School, taking into account the social, cultural, and institutional
contexts surrounding the practice of pesantren education.
The results showed that the internalization of wasathiyah Islamic values at
Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School was carried out through four main strategies.
First, an integrative curriculum that synergizes religious education and modern
skills. Second, the example of the caregivers and ustadz. Third, habituation of a
tolerant and dialogical attitude. Fourth, extracurricular activities that encourage
religious moderation. The research findings reveal the significance of the
wasathiyah approach in shaping the moderate, critical, and transformative character
of santri. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of the
concept of moderate Islamic education and practical contributions for religious
education institutions in facing the challenges of radicalism and intolerance
Deconstruction of Hifdzun Nasl in Maqasid Syari'ah: Analysis of the Childfree Phenomenon from the Perspective of Islamic Family Law
This study examines the conceptual transformation of Hifdzun Nasl (protection of offspring) within the Maqasid Sharia framework as a response to the Childfree phenomenon that is increasingly prevalent in contemporary society. Through a deconstructive approach to classical interpretation, this study aims to map the paradigmatic shift of the concept of Hifdzun Nasl from traditional formulation to modern contextualization, and analyze its implications in the reformulation of Islamic family law. The research methodology combines substantive content analysis with comparative literature studies sourced from classical and contemporary ushul fiqh books. The results identify an epistemological limitation in the conventional interpretation of Hifdzun Nasl, which dominantly emphasizes aspects of biological procreation alone. Contemporary reorientation offers a conceptual expansion that includes dimensions of generational quality, ecological sustainability, and non-biological manifestations of offspring. The analysis shows that the reconceptualization of Hifdzun Nasl opens a discursive space for the legitimization of Childfree choices in an Islamic juridical perspective, with significant implications for the reconfiguration of fundamental aspects of marriage law, inheritance, and alternative parenting. This research contributes to the development of Maqasid epistemology that is more inclusive and responsive to contemporary social dynamics, as well as offering a theoretical framework for integrating the phenomenon of Childfree into the discourse of Islamic family law without distorting the fundamental principles of Sharia. The development of digital technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including religious practice and philanthropy. This phenomenon raises questions about how technology, knowledge, and religious values interact and resonate in the context of a dynamic Indonesian society. This research aims to analyze the resonance between technology, knowledge, and religious values through a case study of the crowdfunding platform kitabisa.com. Using a virtual ethnography method, this research collected data through online observation and content analysis of the kitabisa.com platform. The data were analyzed using a thematic approach to identify patterns of interaction between elements of technology, knowledge, and religious values. The results showed that kitabisa.com successfully integrated sharia principles into its operational system, facilitating the transformation of charity and zakat practices in a digital context. There is an increase in digital literacy in Islamic philanthropy, where users not only learn to use technology to donate, but also understand religious concepts related to philanthropy in a digital context. Significant socio-religious implications are seen through changes in donation patterns that are more efficient and the strengthening of community solidarity that transcends geographical boundaries. In conclusion, the resonance between technology, knowledge and religious values in the kitabisa.com platform illustrates a model of integration and and the successful interconnection between science and religion. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
