Jinekolojik kanserli bireyler tedavi süreçlerinde oldukça zorlu yollardan geçmektedirler. Bu durum bireylerin yaşam kalitesini etkilemekte, sosyal etkileşimini azaltmakta, hastalığa uyumunu güçleştirmektedir. Hastalar evde bakım sürecinde hastalığın seyri hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak isterken, aynı zamanda sağlık kuruluşuna ulaşmakta da zorluk yaşayabilmektedirler. Kanser tedavisinde kullanılan cerrahi girişimler, kemoterapi, radyoterapi, brakiterapi gibi uygulamalar hastaların bu süreci yönetebilmeleri için profesyonel danışmanlığa gereksinim duymalarına sebep olmaktadır. Kanser tedavisinde kullanılan bu yöntemlerin oldukça fazla komplikasyonu gelişebilmektedir. Bu komplikasyonların etkin yönetilebilmesi açısından hemşirelik bakımına ihtiyaç vardır. Hastaların katkıda bulunulacağı fiziksel-ruhsal ve sosyal olarak iyilik hallerinin değerlendirilmesi ve profesyonel danışmanlık alabilmeleri için evde bakım hizmetlerinde hemşirelik bakımı çok önemlidir.Evde bakım uygulamalarını kolaylaştırmak için küreselleşen dünyada bilişim teknolojileriyle sağlık hizmetleri uzaktan verilebilmektedir. Evde bakımın öneminin anlaşıldığı ve giderek yaygınlaştığı bu dönemde tele-hemşirelik uygulamaları ihtiyaç haline gelmiştir. Hemşirelerin bu alanda nitelikli olarak yetişmesi, güncel gelişmeleri takip etmesi ve bireylere danışmanlık verebilmesi, evde bakımın etkinliği açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu derlemede jinekolojik kanserli bireylerin evde bakımında teknoloji kullanımının ve hemşirelik bakımının önemine değinilmiştir

Compositional Analysis and Systemic Considerations of Fluoridated Toothpastes for Children Available in Ankara, Türkiye
No full textPurpose: This study aimed to analyze the composition, fluoride content, and potential health risks of fluoride-containing children's toothpaste available in Turkey. Given the rising concerns over fluoride toxicity and market trends favoring fluoride-free products, the study also evaluated the presence of potentially harmful excipients and assessed their compliance with international pediatric dental guidelines. Methods: A total of 92 children's toothpaste products were identified through Turkey-based online marketplaces, of which 18 (19.56%) contained fluoride. Fluoride concentrations were classified into 500-990 ppm (9.78%) and 1000 ppm (9.78%), the latter aligning with European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD) recommendations. A comprehensive ingredient analysis was performed, categorizing compounds based on their function, prevalence, and toxicity risk. The safety of these ingredients was further assessed using PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases to determine their documented health effects. Results: The majority (80.44%) of children's toothpaste products were fluoride-free, raising concerns regarding effective caries prevention. Additionally, fluoridated products contained potentially harmful preservatives (Sodium Benzoate-44.44%), surfactants (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate-5.55%), and whitening agents (Titanium Dioxide-27.77%), all of which have been linked to cytotoxic, irritative, or systemic toxic effects. Conclusions: These findings highlight a disparity between fluoride availability and professional recommendations, emphasizing the need for improved regulatory oversight, consumer education, and safer pediatric oral care formulations. Given growing concerns about fluoride toxicity, future research should explore fluoride-free remineralization alternatives such as hydroxyapatite and calcium phosphate-based compounds
A Turkish Posthumanist Perspective in Science Fiction: Özlem Ada’s Embriyogenesis
No full textThe world of science-fiction in Turkey is like a closed circuit, only supported by fans and authors, but an outstanding example, Özlem Ada's Embriyogenesis (1997), provides the reader with a unique experience in the two stories titled "Hisse Senetleri" and "Çaya Yetiştirilir," which can be respectively translated as "Share Certificates" and "You Can Be Ready for Tea Party." Both stories are analyzed in this paper with an ecocritical approach to science-fiction as regards how this genre plays a crucial role in broadening the horizons of ecocriticism. The posthumanist perspective of the author offers the reader a chance to interrogate how traditional science-fiction uses apocalyptic and complacent modes to create futuristic images of the world. Ada's stories are exceptional to the Turkish science-fiction genre as they are environmentally oriented

The molar volume calculated is in good agreement with the observed data, which decreases as the pressure increases up to about 150 MPa. The Pippard relations are also valid within this pressure range at constant temperatures studied here for the solid and liquid phases of benzene
Bubbles in the Middle East stock markets
No full textTaşseven, Özlem (Dogus Author)We empirically investigate the existence of periodically collapsing bubbles in seven Middle East and North African (MENA) financial markets for the period ending in May 2009. We use the Taylor and Peel (1998) residual augmented least square Dickey and Fuller test (RALS DF) to detect the bubbles. We find that the hypothesis of a bubble formation cannot be rejected for all seven markets investigated in our study, leading us to believe that in fact there has been a break down in the cointegration relationship between real equity prices and real dividends and also between real market capitalizations and real dividends

Eller ve besinle teması olabilen vücut bölgelerinin temizliği bu bakımdan oldukça önemlidir. Besinlerin eller yoluyla kontaminasyon riski çok yüksektir. Toplu beslenme yapılan kurumlarda besinlerin hazırlanması ve servisinde çalışan personelin kişisel ve mutfak hijyeni konusunda eğitimli ve bilgili olması insan sağlığının korunması ve sürdürülmesi açısından vazgeçilmezdir

However, the Great Recession has taught us that there might have been other factors considered in determining and/or be determined by capacity utilization. In order to further enhance Phillips Curve relationship unconventional variables such as financial and survey variables are considered. The relationship between capacity utilization rates and several real variables such as industrial production, gross domestic product growth rate, unemployment rate, consumer expenditures, financial variables such as return on BIST 100 index, exchange rate of currency basket, interest rates, survey variables such as consumer consumption index, business tendency survey and survey of expectations is investigated using data between 2006 and 2015 for Turkey. All of the above-mentioned variables indicate the production capacity and their repercussions on other macro variables except the level of standard of living. We also highlight the repercussions of production capacity concerning welfare state
