Schubert Eisenstein series and Poisson summation for Schubert varieties
The first author and Bump defined Schubert Eisenstein series by restricting the summation in a degenerate Eisenstein series to a particular Schubert variety. In the case of over they proved that these Schubert Eisenstein series have meromorphic continuations in all parameters and conjectured the same is true in general. We revisit their conjecture and relate it to the program of Braverman, Kazhdan, Lafforgue, Ngô, and Sakellaridis aimed at establishing generalizations of the Poisson summation formula. We prove the Poisson summation formula for certain schemes closely related to Schubert varieties and use it to refine and establish the conjecture of the first author and Bump in many cases.Accepted by the American Journal of Mathematics. Singularities of Affine Schubert Varieties
This paper studies the singularities of affine Schubert varieties in the affine Grassmannian (of type Al⁽¹⁾). For two classes of affine Schubert varieties, we determine the singular loci; and for one class, we also determine explicitly the tangent spaces at singular points. For a general affine Schubert variety, we give partial results on the singular locus. This paper is a contribution to the Special Issue on Kac–Moody Algebras and Applications. The first author was supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, and partially by an NSERC Discovery Grant. The second author was supported by NSF grant DMS-0652386 and Northeastern University RSDF 07–08. Franz Schubert - violin pieces
In this thesis, the author is trying to provide the reader with a general view on life and masterpiece of Franz Schubert, a significant composer of the early 19. century. The first chapter deals with Schubert´s life and important events in his work as well as in personal life. The summary of all his production is to be found in the second chapter, where the author is talking about a chamber production. Other chapters are dedicated to exclusively violin literature and a brief formal analysis of individual music compositions

Agustin Schubert (1902-1942)
Anglická anotace Augustin Schubert (1902-1942) This thesis deals with the life of Augustin Schubert O.S.A., the prior of the Augustinians in St. Thomas monastery, an educator of the Československý Orel and martyr in the Dachau death camp. The Author tries to reconstruct Augustin Schubert's life on detail for which he includes , as far as possible, all available material that can be used for the beatification process of Schubert now undertaken by the Augusinian Order. The first part of this thesis traces the life and activity of Schubert as an Augustinian priest. The second section his work in Československý Orel, the Catholic sport organisation. His contribution to this organisation is important as the author of Orel's Dekalog. His speeches, likewise are important for understanding his thought. The last part of this thesis explains his attitude to Nazism and why he was so dangerosu for the Nazi occupation authorities. For such stand, he was imprisoned and transported to KZ Sachsenhausen an after a few months he was transported to KZ Dachau where he dies on July 27th 1942. A Demazure crystal construction for Schubert polynomials
Stanley symmetric functions are the stable limits of Schubert polynomials. In
this paper, we show that, conversely, Schubert polynomials are Demazure
truncations of Stanley symmetric functions. This parallels the relationship
between Schur functions and Demazure characters for the general linear group.
We establish this connection by imposing a Demazure crystal structure on key
tableaux, recently introduced by the first author in connection with Demazure
characters and Schubert polynomials, and linking this to the type A crystal
structure on reduced word factorizations, recently introduced by Morse and the
second author in connection with Stanley symmetric functions
Poisson structures on affine spaces and flag varieties. I. Matrix affine Poisson space
The standard Poisson structure on the rectangular matrix variety Mm,n(C) is
investigated, via the orbits of symplectic leaves under the action of the maximal torus T ⊂
GLm+n(C). These orbits, finite in number, are shown to be smooth irreducible locally closed
subvarieties of Mm,n(C), isomorphic to intersections of dual Schubert cells in the full flag
variety of GLm+n(C). Three different presentations of the T-orbits of symplectic leaves in
Mm,n(C) are obtained – (a) as pullbacks of Bruhat cells in GLm+n(C) under a particular
map; (b) in terms of rank conditions on rectangular submatrices; and (c) as matrix products
of sets similar to double Bruhat cells in GLm(C) and GLn(C). In presentation (a), the orbits
of leaves are parametrized by a subset of the Weyl group Sm+n, such that inclusions of
Zariski closures correspond to the Bruhat order. Presentation (b) allows explicit calculations
of orbits. From presentation (c) it follows that, up to Zariski closure, each orbit of leaves is
a matrix product of one orbit with a fixed column-echelon form and one with a fixed rowechelon
form. Finally, decompositions of generalized double Bruhat cells in Mm,n(C) (with
respect to pairs of partial permutation matrices) into unions of T-orbits of symplectic leaves
are obtained
Tableau formulas for skew Schubert polynomials
The skew Schubert polynomials are those which are indexed by skew elements of
the Weyl group, in the sense of arXiv:0812.0639. We obtain tableau formulas for
the double versions of these polynomials in all four classical Lie types, where
the tableaux used are fillings of the associated skew Young diagram. These are
the first such theorems for symplectic and orthogonal Schubert polynomials,
even in the single case. We also deduce tableau formulas for double Schur,
double theta, and double eta polynomials, in their specializations as double
Grassmannian Schubert polynomials. The latter results generalize the tableau
formulas for symmetric (and single) Schubert polynomials due to Littlewood (in
type A) and the author (in types B, C, and D).Comment: 17 pages, 2 figures; final versio
Boobalk, Schubert and Codes
Artykuł dotyczy relacji międzytekstowych w utworze Ryszarda Schuberta Trenta tre, uznawanym za schyłkowe osiągnięcie polskiej literatury neoawangardowej. Autor pokazuje, w jaki sposób Schubert konstruuje odniesienia do literatury romantycznej oraz do modernistycznych tekstów dialogujących z romantyzmem. Identyfikuje potencjalne źródła cytatów i aluzji, a także zwraca uwagę na relację między utworem Schuberta a niedokończonym opowiadaniem Krzysztofa Kamila Baczyńskiego. Zasadniczym celem budowania połączeń międzytekstowych okazuje się problematyzacja kluczowych opozycji literatury nowoczesnej, a tym samym ilustracja schyłkowości samej formacji i spowolnienia dynamiki tych procesów, które decydowały o jej produktywności.An article presenting intertextual relations included in Trenta Tre written by Ryszard Schubert, which was recognised as a late achievement of Polish neo avant-garde literature. The author demonstrates how Schubert creates references to the romantic literature and to the modernist texts engaged in a dialog with romanticism. He identifies the potential sources for quotations and allusions, and also draws readers’ attention to the relationship between that work by Schubert and an unfinished story written by Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. The main purpose of creating the intertextual connections is to present the problem of key oppositions in modern literature, and thus to illustrate the decline of the very formation itself and the downturn in the dynamics of the processes that affected its productivity
