Pobożność ludowa i duszpasterstwo on-line jako środki odnowy Kościoła w Polsce
Full text linkConsidering recent changes of the contemporary world, we may conclude, that there is an urgent need of renewal of the Catholic Church in Poland. These changes can only be introduced by means of appropriate pastoral activities. The author of this article draws the recipient’s attention to the above mentioned issues. One of them is the need to promote popular piety and another one is the use of cyberspace to spread evangelization. Both of these forms of pastoral activities bring many benefits. They have an accessible form and are based on simplicity. However, if we use them imprudently, they can lead to improper results. In summary, the main purpose of this publication is to analyze both issues and present the resulting conclusions.Przyglądając się współczesnej rzeczywistości można dostrzec potrzebę odnowy Kościoła w Polsce. Jej naturalnym źródłem jest odniesie do Bożego Objawienia za pomocą właściwych działań duszpasterskich. Wśród nich autor zwraca uwagę na potrzebę promowania pobożności ludowej oraz wykorzystanie cyberprzestrzeni w dziele ewangelizacji. Obie ze wspomnianych form duszpasterstwa niosą za sobą wiele korzyści. Bazują na prostocie i przystępności, lecz niewłaściwie wykorzystywane, mogą nieść za sobą także konkretne niebezpieczeństwa. Niezbędna jest zatem analiza obu zagadnień i przedstawienie wynikających z niej wniosków, co stanowi treść niniejszej publikacji

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textFreedom, which almost everyone wants, has become a scarce commodity, and individuals have been locked in various "digital bubbles" that limit them only to their own image of the world. This article is an attempt to indicate ways to maintain freedom despite the very thriving filter and information bubbles. It was developed using tools from the field of pastoral theology and auxiliary sciences, and its essential elements are: 1) providing information on content filtering algorithms; 2) drawing attention to the issue of the information and filtering bubble; and 3) presenting the topic under discussion from the perspective of applied theology.Wolność, której pragnie niemal każdy, stała się dobrem deficytowym, zaś sam człowiek został zamknięty w różnego rodzaju „cyfrowych bańkach” ograniczających go jedynie do własnego wyobrażenia świata. Niniejszy artykuł jest więc próbą wskazania sposobów zachowania wolności pomimo wysoce prosperujących baniek filtrujących i informacyjnych. Został on opracowany przy pomocy narzędzi teologii pastoralnej i nauk pomocniczych, natomiast jego istotnymi komponentami są: 1) przybliżenie informacji na temat algorytmów filtrujących treści; 2) zwrócenie uwagi na problem bańki informacyjnej i filtrującej; oraz 3) przedstawienie podejmowanego zagadnienia w perspektywie teologii pastoralnej
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Determinanta ekonomii: Influencerzy i followersi w perspektywie teologii stosowanej
Full text linkt has been known for a long time that “advertising is the lever of commerce” and the economic world is ruled by those who can generate or recognize consumer needs. Nowadays, a common source of customer acquisition is the Internet, in which a special role is played by influencers who promote various types of brands, products and services, and followers who follow them. In such a context, the Church, whose task is to lead people to salvation, carries out its mission. This article attempts to answer the question: can the activities of influencers prove to be a sanctifying form of human work? Help in this task is to 1) present influencers and followers as a determinant of the economy; 2) identify the likely sources of success of online creators, and 3) put the above issues in a theological perspective.Nie od dziś wiadomo, że „reklama jest dźwignią handlu”, a światem ekonomii rządzą ci, którzy potrafią wygenerować lub rozpoznać potrzeby konsumentów. Obecnie powszechnym źródłem pozyskiwania klientów jest Internet, w którym szczególną rolę odgrywają influencerzy promujący różnego rodzaju marki, produkty i usługi, a także podążający za nimi followersi. W takim kontekście swoją misję realizuje Kościół, którego zadaniem jest prowadzić ludzi do zbawienia. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy działalność influencerów może okazać się uświęcającą formą pracy człowieka? Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
