    THE USE OF DIFFICULTY LEARNING ASSESSMENT IN ASSESSING THE CONCEPT MASTERY OF BIOLOGY TEACHER CANDIDATES ON DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF ANIMAL EMBRIOLOGY

    This study aims to obtain a description of the mastery of the concept of biology teacher candidates through the study of learning difficulties in the concept of development stage of animal embryo. The subjects of the study were 43 students of semester 6 of academic year 2013 which contracted embryology subjects. The instruments used consist of diagnostic questions (essays and multiple choice questions) and interview format. Data analysis was done quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the mastery of the concept of students on aspects of C1 (remember) is 53% (enough); C2 (understanding) of 77% (good); C3 (applying) of 98% (excellent); And C4 (analyze) of 58% (enough). In addition, some students who experienced difficulty showed a positive response to their learning difficulties

    PENGEMBANGAN ASESMEN PORTOFOLIO ELEKTRONIK (APE) UNTUK MENILAI SIKAP ILMIAH DAN PENGUASAAN KONSEP SISWA SMA PADA LAPORAN PRAKTIKUM PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan APE yang dapat menilai sikap ilmiah dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada laporan praktikum pencemaran lingkungan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian sikap ilmiah, self assessment, soal penguasaan konsep, lembar angket, format wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Kegiatan penelitian dibagi menjadi tahap pengembangan APE dan tahap pelaksanaan APE. Tahap pengembangan APE meliputi perangkat APE, Instrumen APE, dan web APE. Tahap pelaksanaan APE meliputi tahap uji coba dan penggunaan APE dalam menilai sikap ilmiah dan penguasaan konsep siswa pada laporan praktikum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa APE memuat fitur-fitur yang dapat mengembangkan sikap ilmiah siswa, APE dapat mengungkap indikator-indikator sikap ilmiah siswa berdasarkan skor rata-rata rubrik penilaian sikap ilmiah dan self assessment, APE dapat mengungkap penguasaan konsep siswa terkait pencemaran lingkungan pada kategori cukup (63%), Guru dan siswa menanggapi positif terhadap APE, serta APE yang dikembangkan memiliki keunggulan dan keterbatasan dalam pelaksanaannya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa APE dapat menilai sikap ilmiah dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Kata kunci: sikap ilmiah, penguasaan konsep, asesmen portofolio elektronik (APE), laporan praktikum, pencemaran lingkungan. The purpose of this study was to describe the APE that can assess the students scientific attitude and concept mastery of practical reports on environment pollution. The subjects were students of SMA Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung Grade X. Data was collected using a scientific attitude assessment rubrics, self assessment, test mastery of concepts, sheet questionnaires, interview format, and field notes. Research activities are divided into the development phase APE and implementation phase APE. This study are divided into two stages: fist, development and second, implementation of APE. The development stage encompasses the equipment, instruments, and web of APE. The implementation stage includes trial procedures and using APE in assessing students’ scientific attitude and concept mastery of the practical report. The results showed that: 1) APE includes features can develop students 'scientific attitude; 2) APE can reveal indicators of students' scientific attitude is based on the average scores of the scientific attitude assessment rubrics and self assessment; 3) APE can reveal the mastery of concepts students related to environmental pollution in enough categories (63%); 4) Teachers and students show positive respond to the APE, and 5) Developed APE has advantages and limitation in the implementation.     This study aims to implement the use of integrated formative assessment level of inquiry (LoI-eFA) in developing formal-postformal operational reasoning and inquiry abilities of students in systematic learning of rock animals in numerical taxonomy. This study uses a mixed methods embedded experimental design. The participants in this study were 77 UMMI biology education students consisting of 29 general biology practicum students, 24 invertebrate zoology practicum students, and 24 vertebrate zoology practicum students. The research instrument used consisted of 28 questions of formal-postformal reasoning (divided into groups A and B), a rubric for assessing inquiry abilities, student response questionnaires, and lecturer interview formats. The results showed that the use of the LoI integrated assessment in developing formal-postformal operational reasoning for prospective teachers showed an increase in the average pretest and posttest results obtained by students in general biology, invertebrate zoology, and vertebrate zoology practicums. The results of the one way ANOVA statistical test obtained a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the average value of the formal-postformal reasoning of the three participants was significantly different. In general biology practicum students, the highest indicator of formal-postformal reasoning was achieved by control variables and the lowest was in metasystematic reasoning. In invertebrate zoology practicum students, the highest indicator of formal-postformal reasoning is achieved by proportional reasoning and the lowest is metasystematic reasoning. In vertebrate zoology practicum students, the highest indicator of formal-postformal reasoning is achieved by proportional reasoning and the lowest is systematic reasoning. Students' inquiry skills developed through the use of LoI-eFA showed an increase in each meeting. Students and lecturers gave positive responses to the implementation of the use of LoI-eFA in developing post-formal reasoning and inquiry skills

    This descriptive study aimed to obtain oral communication skills prospective biology teachers through peer and self assessment in class discussions. Subjects were 26 students of Biology Education Department 6th semester 2015/2016 academic year  who contracted the courses of anatomy and physiology of the human body. The instrument used consisted of sheets of peer and self-assessment, as well as the student questionnaire. The result of research showed that the average of peer assessment for oral communication of students is different with the mean of self assessment. The spoken oral communication ability indicators that was revealed include: (1) choosing the most appropriate way to present the explanation of 66% (Good); (2) using tables, drawings, models to present an explanation of 62% (Good); (3) responds to a question from another student in the form of a convincing argument of 64% (Good); (4) interpret the obtained solution by 51% (Enough); (5) responds to a question from another student in the form of a convincing argument of 57% (Enough).     Penelitian yang berjudul “Penggunaan Asesmen Kinerja Alternatif dalam Menilai Kemampuan Literasi Sains Siswa SMP pada Konsep Pencemaran Lingkungan” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan asesmen kinerja alternatif, kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang terukur, tanggapan siswa dan guru, serta kendala dan keterbatasan yang ditemukan dalam menggunakan asesmen kinerja alternatif pada pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 29 Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar obsevasi asesmen kinerja alternatif, Task dalam bahan ajar, lembar angket, format wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan merekapitulasi nilai kinerja kemampuan literasi sains siswa yang dikategorisasi menjadi baik, cukup, dan kurang. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan melalui dua tahap. Pertama, tahap persiapan meliputi penyusunan rubrik dan task dalam bahan ajar. Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan meliputi penilaian kinerja siswa pada proses diskusi kelompok dengan menggunakan rubrik dan task dalam bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan asesmen kinerja alternatif berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat pada profil keterlaksanaan penggunaan asesmen kinerja alternatif dalam proses PBM, penggunaan task, rubrik, dan proses penilaian. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa dapat terukur oleh asesmen kinerja alternatif. Siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap asesmen kinerja alternatif. Kendala yang ditemukan selama penelitian meliputi siswa masih belum optimal dalam mencari sumber lain selain bahan ajar pada proses PBM, peneliti dan guru merasa kesulitan dalam menentukan indikator esensial, dan indikator esensial yang digunakan masih kurang terdeskripsikan dengan baik. Keterbatasan asesmen kinerja alternatif meliputi indikator esensial yang diukur terbatas hanya tiga indikator untuk setiap dimensinya dan kategori penilaian terfokus pada kategori baik, cukup, dan kurang

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran manakah yang lebih baik dalam keterampilan abad 21. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian semi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian yaitu Posttest-only control group desain. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Sinar Fajar tahun akademik 2018/2019. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan diantaranya berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan tes tulis. Sedangkan teknis analisis data berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan kemudian uji t dua sampel Independen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Realistik Mathematic Education dengan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning lebih baik dari model pembelajaran Realistik Mathematic Education tanpa pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning terhadap keterampilan abad 21

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dalam meningkatkan kecakapan matematis siswa serta untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai hal-hal yang dapat mendukung model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dalam meningkatkan kecakapan matematis siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi eksperiment. Desain ini mempunyai kelompok kontrol tetapi tidak dapat berfungsi sepenuhnya untuk mengontrol variabel-variabel luar yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan eksperimen. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat dua kelas yang masing-masing dipilih secara acak, dimana satu diantaranya merupakan kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas merupakan kelas kontrol. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Sinar Fajar tahun akademik 2018/2019. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 variabel dimana variabel bebas berupa Model Pembelajaran tipe TPS, variabel terikatnya meningkatkan kecakapan matematis siswa dan variabel kontrol berupa kelas dan siswa kelas VII. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data diantara berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan metode tes. Teknis analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji t dua sampel independen dikarenakan dua sampel yang diuji akan diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan kecakapan matematis siswa di SMP Islam Sinar Fajar

Successive drafts of pre-refereeing preprints will be linked to the official refereed draft, as well as to any subsequent corrections, revisions, updates, comments, responses, and underlying empirical databases, all enhancing the self-correctiveness, interactivity and productivity of scholarly and scientific research and communication in remarkable new ways. New scientometric indicators of digital impact are also emerging &lt;http://opcit.eprints.org&gt; to chart the online course of knowledge. But there is still one last frontier to cross before science reaches the optimal and the inevitable: Just as there is no longer any need for research or researchers to be constrained by the access-blocking restrictions of paper distribution, there is no longer any need to be constrained by the impact-blocking financial fire-walls of Subscription/Site-License/Pay-Per-View (S/L/P) tolls for this give-away literature.     A atribuição autoral (AA) busca identificar um autor de texto a partir de um conjunto de autores conhecidos. Autores deixam rastros em seus textos e é possível identificar características sociolinguísticas baseadas no estilos de escrita refletidos no texto destes autores. A atribuição autoral está cada vez mais demonstrando importância para diversas atividades sociais, em especial para a análise forense. Os trabalhos envolvendo AA demonstram resultados modestos e motivam a exploração de diferentes técnicas para melhorar a acurácia dos modelos atuais. A partir desses pontos, o presente trabalho apresenta uma proposta de pesquisa em nível de mestrado no campo de processamento de língua natural (PLN), com ênfase em AA, com o objetivo geral de melhorar o desempenho de classificadores de atribuição autoral utilizando técnicas de caracterização autoral (CA)Author attribution (AA) seeks to identify a text author from a set of known authors. Authors leave traces in their texts and it is possible to identify sociolinguistic characteristics based on the writing styles reflected in the text of these authors. Author attribution is increasingly showing importance for various social activities, especially forensic analysis. Studies involving AA show modest results and motivate the exploration of different techniques to improve the accuracy of current models. From these perspective, this project presents a master\'s level research proposal in the field of natural language processing (NLP), with an emphasis in AA, with the general objective of improving the performance of AA classifiers using author profiling technique
