впродовж 1901-1904 років щодо утворення у Львові українського
університету. Для цього він залучав українську галицьку інтелігенцію,
українську діаспору Європи, міністерство освіти Австро-Угорської імперії,
українських послів до Віденського парламенту. Висвітлено увесь процес
для реалізації цієї ідеї Івана Пулюя, її складності у спілкуванні як з
впливовими представниками українського суспільства Східної Галичини,
так і з чільними урядовцями імперії. Розкрито, що політична
неоднорідність української інтелігенції Східної Галичини у тих роках
впливала на зазначені намагання Івана Пулюя у створенні українського
університету у Львові, але вирішальна роль, все-таки, належала австро угорському уряду, який різними «викрутасами» ухилявся надати дозвіл на
здійснення зазначених прагнень Івана Пулюя, фаворитизуючи польській
еліті у різних суспільних сферах, в тому числі, в освітній. Така зазначена
мрія, прагнення Івана Пулюя реалізувалися аж у середині, а остаточно –
наприкінці ХХ століття, коли Україна здобула свою незалежністьThe article examines Ivan Pulujʼs comprehensive efforts in 1901-
1904 to establish a Ukrainian university in Lviv. For this purpose, he involved
the Ukrainian Galician intelligentsia, the Ukrainian diaspora in Europe, the
Ministry of Education of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Ukrainian
ambassadors to the Vienna Parliament. The whole process of realization of this
idea of Ivan Pulujʼs, its difficulties in communication with both influential
representatives of Ukrainian society in Eastern Galicia and with leading officials
of the empire are covered. It is revealed that the political heterogeneity of the
Ukrainian intelligentsia of Eastern Galicia in those years influenced Ivan Pulujʼs
efforts to establish a Ukrainian university in Lviv, but the decisive role,
nevertheless, belonged to the Austro-Hungarian government, which, by various
“tricks”, avoided granting permission to realize Ivan Pulujʼs aspirations, favoring
the Polish elite in various public spheres, including education. This dream, Ivan
Pulujʼs aspirations, were realized only in the middle, and finally at the end of the
twentieth century, when Ukraine gained its independenc

He lived in Saborsko during the siege laid by Yugoslav National Army and the paramilitary forces. In November 1991 he left Saborsko and lived as a refugee in Rijeka, Croatia. In July 1995 he joined the Croatian Army, where he stayed until August 1995. He returned to Saborsko in 1997. Today he lives in Saborsk
