No full textIn order to come up with a specification document for poultry farmers who wish to treat their poultry manure in the farm, tests have been undertaken to stress the interest of some options and to analyze the meaning of their variation. The article presents test results on swaths protected or not from atmospheric rainfalls, which have or have not been supplied water at the start, and submitted to various reversal frequencies. The thermal, physical and chemical monitorings help highlight the effects of water adjunction, which are more important than the effects of reversal frequencies on element losses (organic matter and nitrogen). Finally, the mastering of this type of treatment at the farm requires a very good knowledge of atmospheric rainfalls. / Afin d'établir un projet de cahier des charges destiné aux aviculteurs désireux de traiter leur fumier de volaille à la ferme des essais ont été entrepris pour mettre en évidence l'intérêt de certaines options et d'analyser la pertincence de leur variation. L'article présente des résultats d'expérimentations portant sur des andains protégés ou non des précipitations atmosphériques, ayant subi ou on une ajonction d'eau au départ, et sousmis à différentes fréquences de retournement. Les suivis thermiques et physico-chimiques permettent de mettre en évidence les effets plus importants de l'adjonction d'eau que des fréquences de retournement sur les pertes en différents éléments (matières organiques et azote). Enfin la maîtrise de ce type de traitement à la ferme implique une maîtrise totale des précipitations atmosphériques
La filière avicole française à l'horizon 2025. Une prospective INRA-ITAVI
No full textDepuis une dizaine d’années, la filière avicole française doit faire face à la concurrence de nouveaux pays producteurs plus compétitifs ; elle doit également répondre à de nouvelles exigences de la société vis-à-vis des modes de production en termes de bien-être animal, de sécurité sanitaire et de protection de l’environnement. Ainsi, si depuis 10 ans, la production mondiale a bénéficié d’une croissance de près de 4% par an, la production française a baissé au rythme de 2,3% par an. Les acteurs économiques du secteur et les acteurs publics s’interrogent sur cette évolution et, surtout, sur les perspectives d’avenir de l’aviculture. Pour éclairer leurs choix stratégiques, un institut technique (ITAVI) et un institut de recherche (INRA) se sont mobilisés autour d’un exercice de prospective. Fondé sur les réflexions d’un groupe de travail composé d’experts des filières avicoles et sur des auditions d’acteurs, l’exercice a permis de construire quatre scénarios à partir des évolutions du contexte politique et réglementaire, des comportements de consommation et des stratégies des acteurs de la filière. L’exploration de différents futurs possibles à l’horizon 2025 a permis d’identifier des leviers d’action relevant des stratégies d’acteurs, des politiques publiques et des orientations de la recherche. Si aucun scénario n’envisage un fort développement de la production à l’horizon 2025, tous, cependant, montrent l’intérêt d’une recherche multidisciplinaire pour caractériser la durabilité et la qualité de la production, et les rendre conciliables avec une meilleure compétitivité.For about ten years, the French poultry sector has faced both competition from new poultry-exporting countries and growing societal concerns about animal welfare, food safety, and environmental impact of production systems. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
