Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Get PDFThe aim of this research is to find out how competency and workload influence the
performance of nurses at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province. The
method used is descriptive quantitative with data collection through interviews
and questionnaires. The population of this study were nurses at the Tampan
Mental Hospital, Riau Province, both civil servants and non-PNS. This research
used a simple random sampling technique with a sample of 118 respondents. The
data analysis method used is the multiple linear regression method with classical
assumption testing and hypothesis testing, using the SPSS Version 23 program.
Based on the research results, it shows that the competency variable partially has
a positive and significant influence on nurse performance in the t test. Likewise,
the workload variable partially has a positive and significant effect on nurse
performance. Apart from that, competency and workload variables influence
nurses' performance in the f test simultaneously. From the determination test, it is
known that the R Square value shows that competency (X1) and workload (X2)
together have an influence of 54.7% on nurse performance (Y), and the remaining
45.3% is influenced by other variables. which was not observed in this study.

PENGARUH DANA DESA DAN STATUS DESA TERHADAP PENANGANAN STUNTING DI KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Dana Desa dan Status Desa terhadap penanganan stunting di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda, penelitian ini mengukur bagaimana alokasi Dana Desa dan status desa berkontribusi dalam mengurangi angka stunting. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik studi dokumentasi dari instansi terkait dan diolah untuk memastikan asumsi-asumsi statistik seperti normalitas, multikolinearitas, dan homoskedastisitas terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dana Desa tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap penanganan stunting, sementara IDM menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa alokasi anggaran yang diarahkan pada program kesehatan dan gizi tidak berdampak langsung pada penurunan stunting dibandingkan dengan peningkatan infrastruktur desa secara umum. Kesimpulan ini menekankan pentingnya prioritas alokasi Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun sebuah desa mencapai kemajuan dalam hal infrastruktur, ekonomi, dan fasilitas umum, namun masih bisa mengurangi masalah stunting.Penelitian ini juga menyarankan untuk memperluas lingkup variabel di masa mendatang guna memperkaya pemahaman mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi stunting secara lebih komprehensif
Fenolik total, Aktivitas Antioksidan dan Isolasi Senyawa Metabolit Sekunder dari Fraksi Etil Asetat Daun Jambu Air Merah Muda (Syzygium aqueum(Burm F.) Alston)
Get PDFTumbuhan jambu air merah muda (Syzygium Aqueum (Burm.F.) alston) telah banyak digunakan secara tradisional oleh masyarakat sebagai obat deman, antidiabetes serta diare. Pada penelitian sebelumnya dikatakan bahwa ekstrak metanol dari daun jambu air merah muda memiliki aktifitas antioksidan yang kuat. Fraksinasi dilakukan terhadap ekstrak metanol serta dilakukan uji kandungan fenolik total, aktivitas antioksidan serta isolasi senyawa metabolit sekunder terhadap fraksi yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang paling kuat. Kandungan fenolik total fraksi heksana, etil asetat dan sisa berturut-turut yaitu: 21,29; 21,81; 58,26 mg GAE/ 10 mg fraksi kering. Aktivitas antioksidan fraksi heksana, etil asetat dan sisa berturut-turut yaitu: 1153,48; 2,582; 6,037 mg/L. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa fraksi etil asetat memiliki kandungan fenolik total yang paling tinggi serta aktivitas antioksidan yang paling kuat. Hasil isolasi dari fraksi etil asetat dengan UV-Vis menunjukan adanya serapan maksimum pada λmax 204,20 nm serta adanya serapan gugus hidroksi, C-O, C=C pada spektrum IR
