    Developing human competence is essential to every organization. In an extremely competitive environment, human or employee competence is the most important asset and it can also give a big impact in striving for a better position in the industry. It has also been a major factor in creating trust and building extensively partnerships with most of the world's leading player in different kind of industries. This is why human competence needs to be systematically developed throughout the entire organization, using defined terminology and a competence management process. Managing competence implies staying updated on the present competence situations; defining the needs for tomorrow - link to the strategic plans and scenarios; and continuously taking action to fill competence gaps. It also encompasses the active areas that need to be addressed; competence requirement, present competence, and gaps, plan and actions. Everyone must state his or her goals and objectives that need to be fulfilled. They are responsible for ensuring the right competence to reach these goals, considering the organization's changing needs. This means that they must specify the competence requirements within their operations

    Life insurance is important although not a dominant part of the savings industry. There are other competitors for the long term saving dollar, particularly unit and property trusts, and this has grown in recent years at a much faster rate than the life offices. Our government is attempting to deregulate the financial sector in Malaysia. Banks are opening life office and the life offices are setting up banking subsidiaries. With the move made in recent years towards the regulations of the financial sector, the government has made available more bankers license. This represents the first chance for life offices to become involve in the banking sector and a number of offices responded by applying and obtaining bankers' license. This move by the life offices to the banking area is really a further direction they took with the new products they developed and response to the problems in the past. These new products were more investment oriented and in more direct competitions with the product offered by other financial institutions

Karim Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode pembelajaran simulasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran komputer terapan di SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai Kelas II TKJ-1 dengan jumlah 27 siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri ataas tiga kali pertemuan dengan menggunakan prosedur tindakan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pretest pada awal siklus dan posttest pada akhir siklus serta observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada awal siklus sebesar 59,85% dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 6 siswa dengan persentase 22,22%. Nilai rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 72,44% dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 16 siswa dengan persentase 59,26%. Nilai rata-rata pada siklus II sebesar 87,40% dan siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 26 siswa dengan persentase 96,30%

The introduction of the free trade area concept has somehow influences the IT industry. As we can see now that globalisation has now become a threat to every industry. These industries are either directly or indirectly affected by such rapid development in the world economy. IT is one area that is so vital to organizations where the capability to control information will give them a competitive advantage in the business environment. Global IT management is the new paradigm of the next millennium; domestic IT and urn-national IS are now only parts of the broader global IT, and it is absolutely essential that we view all aspects of IT and IS from the comprehensive and all-embracing lens of global IT management and the impact of the free trade concept on the industry

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    ABSTRAK AHMAD IRZAN., 2018Survei Sarana dan Prasarana Penjas Dalam Pelaksanaan Kurikulum 2013 Di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Makassar. Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana penjas sudah memadahi proses pembelajaran penjas dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013 di MAN 1 MAKASSAR. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan subjek penelitian yaitu sarana dan prasarana olahraga MAN 1 Makassar.Adapun hasil persentase rata – rata keseluruhan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung pembelajaran penjas di MAN 1 Makassar yaitu dengan cara menjumlahkan rata-rata masing-masing cabang olahraga di bagi jumlah cabang olahraga. Sehingga dapat ditentukan bahwa rata-rata sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung pembelajaran penjas di MAN 1 Makassar adalah 70,8% dengan kategori “ideal” untuk proses pembelajaran penjas sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Dari 8 prasarana, sudah tersedia 5 sarana dan prasarana yangtergolong ideal sampai ideal sekali yaitu cabang olahraga Bulutangkis 90%, Futsal 100%,Bola Basket 83,3% Tenis Meja 87,5% dan Bola Voli 62,5%, serta 3 sarana dan prasarana tergolongsedang bahkan kurang dari standar diantaranya Senam 50%, Atletik 60,2% dan Sepak bola 33,3%.Sesuai hasil penelitian ini, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Makassar Sudah ideal dalam penegembangan diri siswa khususnya dalam mata pelajaran penjas dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     MUH. IRZAN USMAN 2022. Peningkatan kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri pada murid tunanetra kelas II di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu. Skripsi dibimbing oleh Dra. Hj. St. Kasmawati, M.Si dan Dr. Purwaka Hadi, M.Si. Program Studi Pendidikan Khusus, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri pada program khusus orientasi dan mobilitas. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah “Bagaimanakah peningkatan kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri pada murid tunanetra kelas II di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu”. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes perbuatan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah satu murid Tunanetra blind yang berinisial AD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR) yaitu memfokuskan pada data individu sebagai sampel penelitian dengan desain menggunakan A-B-A. Kesimpulan penelitian ini: 1) Kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri bagi murid tunanetra di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu. sebelum pemberian perlakuan sangat kurang 2) Kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri bagi murid tunanetra di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu saat pemberian perlakuan berada pada kategori baik sekali 3) Kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri bagi murid tunanetra di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu setelah pemberian perlakuan berada pada kategori baik sekali 4) Peningkatan kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri bagi murid tunanetra di SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu berdasarkan hasil perbandingan antar kondisi yaitu pada kondisi sebelum diberikan perlakuan kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri sangat kurang menjadi meningkat ke kategori baik sekali pada kondisi selama diberikan perlakuan dan pada kondisi saat diberikan perlakuan kemampuan orientasi dan mobilitas melalui teknik melawat mandiri setelah diberikan perlakuan pada kategori baik sekali dengan nilai yang lebih rendah pada saat diberikan perlakuan, akan tetapi nilai yang diperoleh subjek AD lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum diberikan perlakuan.
