    Novice Counselor's Work Readiness

    This descriptive study aims to find out the novice counselors’ work readiness. To this end, fifty-four novice counselors graduated from the guidance and counseling department of Ahmad Dahlan University were recruited. The data were collected using a work readiness scale and analyzed using a quantitative descriptive technique. The result showed that the school counselors’ strongest aspect lay in work attitude, while the weakest aspect lay in interpersonal communication. Based on the focus group discussion, novice counselors still faced some difficulties when providing guidance and counseling services at school. The most frequently found obstacles were their ability to deal with the students’ mental, assertiveness, group counseling services, collaboration service, and service management. This study can be used as the basis to develop a service or training strategy to improve the novice counselors’ work readiness

    Developing Guidebook of Sexual Violence Prevention and Control in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan

    Higher education should be a safe and comfortable place for students to receive education. However, in reality, many cases of sexual violence occur in the university environment. Many victims of sexual violence do not dare to report the incident to the authorities. Meanwhile, some victims who have reported their cases have not received a resolution to the problems they complained about. Based on the results of a student needs survey, as many as 64.7% of students need a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the survey results, the author aims to research and develop a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. After going through four stages of R&D 4D model, this guidebook contains the background, scope, juridical and empirical studies, and mechanisms for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the results of media expert validation tests, this book obtained an Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of 0.81 which is in the high category. Meanwhile, the results of material expert validation tests show that the Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of this book is 0.83, which is also included in the high category. This guidebook will be used as a reference in realizing efforts to prevent and overcome sexual violence in the higher education environment, especially at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan

    Dahlan Iskan is a national figure who has contributed to advancing the Indonesian state. Dahlan Iskan is known to the wider community as a former CEO of the Javanese newspaper Pos Grub, President Director of PLN and has also been one of the State Ministers of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). He is someone who should be emulated and exemplified by everyone, especially for the younger generation, especially in his character from his life journey in fighting for the advancement of the Indonesian state. The author uses the method in making this article is the library research method and historical research methods. The library research method is a series of activities related to the library data collection method (Mahmud, 2011: 31). In addition, the author also uses the historical research method which includes several series of steps in the form of the Heuristic method, source criticism, analysis and interpretation, and historiography. This article contains a biographical history of an Indonesian figure named Dahlan Iskan with the formulation of problems regarding the life history of Dahlan Iskan, how the history of the progress of BUMN and Indonesian newspapers by Dahlan Iskan, and how the character of discipline, hard work, and never giving up is owned by Dahlan Iskan. . The research of making this article aims to describe or analyze and get an overview of the character values ​​possessed by the character Dahlan Iskan in a novel written by Sholihin Hidayat.     Implementation of KH Ahmad Dahlan's educational thoughts in the merdeka curriculum

    This research aims to see how the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the kurikulum merdeka that is being promoted by the government through KEMDIKBUDRISTEK. The research method used is a literature review where the author collects data on the educational thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan, independent curriculum and discusses how it is implemented. The results of the study show that the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the independent curriculum in several aspects including: in the education system, namely the integration of religious and Scientific knowledge curricula, in the aspect of educational goals, namely the formation of students who are religiously knowledgeable and intelligent in insight and scientific views which are reflected in the Pancasila student profile, in terms of technical implementation, namely indications of pending development of educational implementation, in terms of learning methods namely contextual learning which is reflected in intracurricular and cocurricular learning models on independent curriculum. In addition to these four aspects, both KH Ahmad Dahlan and the concept of independent curriculum focus on developing students both individually and socially. The implication of this research is the formation of educational institutions that truly become an answer to the needs of students in facing the development of time, not just schools as a formality to get a diploma. As for educators, they should be more open-minded so that they are ready to develop and ready to become a solution for student development

Survei Tingkat Kesegatan Jasmani Terhadap Kemampuan Bermain Bola basket Siswa SMA Negeri 9 Makassar Skripsi, Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Di bawah bimbingan H.Arifuddin Usman selaku pembimbing I dan Irvan Sir. selaku pembimbing II. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh jawaban atas permasalahan : Tentang keterkaitan tingkat kesegaran jasmani terhadap keterampilan bermain bola basket pada siswa SMA Negeri 9 Makassar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam Siswa SMAN 9 Makassar. Sampel yang dipergunakan sebanyak 30 orang yang juga jumlah keseluruhan dari populasi. Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif, yang berbentuk korelasional, dan instrumen penelitian adalah : (1) Tes Tingkat Kesegaran Jasmani, dan (2) Tes Keterampilan bermain bola basket. Pengelolahan data penelitian adalah menggunakan statistik deskriptif inferensial sedangkan teknik analisis data yang dipergunakan adalah penentuan hasil tingkat kesegaran jasmani dan uji korelasi. Dengan menggunakan taraf signifikansi α 0,05. Melalui pengelolahan data diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut : (1) Tes hasil analisis data Tingkat Kesegaran Jasmani termasuk kategori “sedang” sebanyak 11 orang (36,67%) dari 30 siswa. Dan (2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara Tingkat Kesegaran Jasmani dengan kemampuan bermain bola basket Siswa SMAN 9 Makassar melalui hasil analisis korelasi antara TKJI terhadap kemampuan bermain bola basket dengan hasil korelasi R = 0,410*.     This research intents to describe the plot and the characterization in novel Sepatu Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara's and its implication to Indonesian learning at senior high school. The research method that is used is descriptive qualitative method. Data source in this research is come from Sepatu Dahlan novel by Khrisna Pabichara's. From the result analisis, plot of Sepatu Dahlan novel obtained events which supports the formation of a plot. The events are divided into several stages of plot so it can be know that the plot of the Sepatu Dahlan novel isthe combine plot. Chracterization in the Sepatu Dahlan novel using both methods, but showing method tends to be more widely used by the author in describing the characters. Sepatu Dahlan novel by Krishna Pabichara can be usedas an alternative instructional materials in senior high school literature.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaluran dan penokohan dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara serta implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara.Dari hasil analisis, pengaluran dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan diperoleh peristiwa-peritiwa yang mendukung terbentuknya suatu alur. Peristiwa-peristiwa tersebut terbagi menjadi beberapa tahap alur, sehingga dapat diketahui alur pada novel Sepatu Dahlan adalah alur gabungan.Penokohan pada novel Sepatu Dahlan menggunakan kedua metode, tetapi metode showing cenderung lebih banyak digunakan oleh pengarang dalam menggambarkan watak tokoh.Novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran sastra di SMA.Kata kunci: novel sepatu dahlan, pengaluran, penokohan

    Translation History of "Ḥayy ibn Yaqẓān" by Ibn Ṭufayl

    This article aims to discuss the historical flow of the translation of "Ḥayy ibn Yaqẓān" by Ibn Ṭufayl into other languages, especially European languages, and is limited to the 14th to 18th centuries AD. Using qualitative research methods and analyzing various literary sources, the author explores how "Ḥayy ibn Yaqẓān" spread in Europe and inspired several writers to translation. The results of the study show that the historical flow of the translation of Ḥayy Ibn Yaqẓān from Arabic to other languages began in the 14th century into Hebrew, and continued into several other European languages, namely Latin, Dutch, English, and German, until the 18th century. In addition, in the history of the translation of "Ḥayy ibn Yaqẓān" into other languages, especially European languages, Edward Pococke's Latin translation entitled "Ḥayy ibn Yaqzhan" became the main reference for other translators and had a significant impact in introducing Ibn Tufayl's work to the European world. In addition, Simon Ockley's translation is also well-known and helps expand the reach of readers of the work in the English-speaking world. Both of these translations made important contributions to the dissemination and understanding of the work among European readers. The contribution of this article is to map the translations of Ḥayy ibn Yaqzhan into several European languages in the 14th to 18th centuries CE, and to contribute to a deeper understanding of the cross-cultural exchange of ideas and values through literature, which enriches our appreciation of the interconnectedness of global intellectual heritage

    This study aims to describe Dahlan Iskan style of writing in Column Manufacturing Hope Sumut Pos. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The object of this research is column in Sumut Pos written by Dahlan Iskan at the date of 6,13, and 20 may 2013. Data collection techniques are documentation. the results of this study is Dahlan Iskan Style of writing in column manufacturing Hope Sumut Pos (1) based on how the author expresses his attitude is people who know everything (using my pronoun) and (2) based on the variety of languages is less formal language and literary variety. Based on writing style then it can be seen that Dahlan Iskan is an all-knowing person, a person who reflects on the past, and Dahlan Iskan is a person who always uses good and proper Indonesian in accordance with the context and situation so that Dahlan Iskan is someone who has a relaxed attitude and not rigid, and Dahlan Iskan including people who often use the style of language in writing, for example using personification, irony, hyperbole, and metaphor
