The Concept of Land Ownership in Islam and Poverty Alleviation in Pakistan
Land ownership—in its ethico-legal and historical manifestations, reflects the importance of being a politico-economic institution. In the process of its development, it includes various heterogeneous elements of different systems of ownership. With the growth of the Ummah, the principles of laws of ownership represent and embody the relations, rights and duties to form the general law of obligations at the state as well as individual level. This is the case of economic and legal theory, regarding the ownership of land with implicative infrastructure to build social welfare institutions of Islam. It is generally and basically have been ordained that according to the teachings of Islam, Real ownership belongs to Allah Almighty. Man being the vicegerent holds property in trust for which he is accountable to him in accordance with the clearly laid down economic philosophy of Islam. Ownership of man is a concept alien to Islam as it belongs to Allah Almighty only.

Analysis of two-player quantum games in an EPR setting using Clifford's geometric algebra
The framework for playing quantum games in an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) type setting is investigated using the mathematical formalism of geometric algebra (GA). The main advantage of this framework is that the players' strategy sets remain identical to the ones in the classical mixed-strategy version of the game, and hence the quantum game becomes a proper extension of the classical game, avoiding a criticism of other quantum game frameworks. We produce a general solution for two-player games, and as examples, we analyze the games of Prisoners' Dilemma and Stag Hunt in the EPR setting. The use of GA allows a quantum-mechanical analysis without the use of complex numbers or the Dirac Bra-ket notation, and hence is more accessible to the non-physicist.James M. Modeling and Control of Magnetic Fluid Deformable Mirrors for Adaptive Optics Systems
Modeling and Control of Magnetic Fluid Deformable Mirrors for Adaptive Optics Systems presents a novel design of wavefront correctors based on magnetic fluid deformable mirrors (MFDM) as well as corresponding control algorithms. The presented wavefront correctors are characterized by their linear, dynamic response. Various mirror surface shape control algorithms are presented along with experimental evaluations of the performance of the resulting adaptive optics systems. Adaptive optics (AO) systems are used in various fields of application to enhance the performance of optical systems, such as imaging, laser, free space optical communication systems, etc. This book is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, professors, engineers, scientists and researchers working on the design of adaptive optics systems and their various emerging fields of application. Genetic Analysis of Consanguineous Pakistani Families with Congenital Stationary Night Blindness
Introduction: Congenital stationary night blindness (CSNB) is a rare, largely nonprogressive, inherited retinal disorder that can be clinically classified on the basis of fundus and electroretinogram abnormalities. Methods: We analyzed four large consanguineous families from the Southern Punjab region of Pakistan including multiple individuals affected with CSNB. Exome sequencing was performed in probands of all four families; Sanger sequencing was performed in additional members to test co-segregation of the variants identified. Results: We identified two novel and likely pathogenic variants in two pedigrees, namely, NM_002905.4:c.668A>C (p.Gln223Pro) in RDH5 and NM_022567.2:c.908del (p.Gly303ValfsTer45) in NYX. In the two other families, the variants NM_002905.4:c.319G>C (p.Gly107Arg) in RDH5 and NM_000541.5:c.874C>T (p.Arg292Ter) in SAG were identified. These latter mutations have been reported previously, but not in the Pakistani population. Conclusions: Our findings expand the mutational spectrum of CSNB, in particular within the population of Southern Punjab
Analyzing three-player quantum games in an EPR type setup
Extent: 11p.We use the formalism of Clifford Geometric Algebra (GA) to develop an analysis of quantum versions of three-player noncooperative games. The quantum games we explore are played in an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) type setting. In this setting, the players’ strategy sets remain identical to the ones in the mixed-strategy version of the classical game that is obtained as a proper subset of the corresponding quantum game. Using GA we investigate the outcome of a realization of the game by players sharing GHZ state, W state, and a mixture of GHZ and W states. As a specific example, we study the game of three-player Prisoners’ Dilemma.James M. Chappell, Azhar Iqbal and Derek Abbot
