The results reveal about the background of local political parties in Aceh
and the implications for local political parties in the Indonesian party system in
terms of the principles of democracy. Based on the research and data analysis, we
conclude that the background of the emergence of local parties in Aceh was the
endorsement requirements of the Free Aceh Movement in the form of local
political parties in Aceh by the Indonesian government in Helsinki Memorandum
Of Understanding as an effort to end the prolonged armed conflict in Nangro
Aceh Darussalam. In this study also concluded that the presence of local political
parties in Indonesia have implications for party system in the form of amendments
to the law governing Aceh in order to accommodate the existence of local political
parties in Aceh, which applies as lex specialis derograt lex generale. The existence
of local political parties in Aceh also have implications in the form of declining
national political party votes in local elections held in 2009 in Aceh, where the
Aceh Party managed to dominate the vote well above the national political parties
and other local political parties.
From the research, the author gives suggestions for the government to
review the existence of local political parties in Papua by providing a more
applicable rules of implementation given the success of local political parties as a
means of dampening the conflict in Aceh. Government should provide a channel
for the aspirations of Aceh local political parties at national level considering the
space for local political parties in delivering the aspirations of the people of Aceh
at the national level are limited.

Habitat use analysis of Dian's tarsier (Tarsius dianae) in a mixed-species plantation in Sulawesi, Indonesia
Abstract To investigate the importance of mixed-species plantations as a potential habitat for small arboreal primates, we radio-tracked six Dian's tarsiers (Tarsius dianae) in such an area in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, and explored their selectivity for certain vegetation types. The animals strongly favored sporadic dense shrubbery over more open structures, yet they also utilized cash-crop cultivations for hunting insects. This paper documents the first habitat use analysis of tarsiers on agricultural land and exemplifies the vital role of mixed-species plantations in conserving wildlife when nearby forest is logged
GREEN BARRIER PT PUSRI POTENTIAL AS BIRD HABITAT
The study was conducted to determine birds in Green Barrier PT. Pusri and explains the function of the existing vegetation in the Green Barrier for many species of birds. Retrieval of data was conducted in a 28 ha Green barrier area of PT Pusri, during July to August 2015. The collecting of data determined by line transects through observation directly. assuming the selection of sites in the area of water resources and representation of vegetation types that represent a potential habitat for birds. Birds observed then identified and recorded the type, activity include, nesting, feeding, perch and plants that exploited. The results of this study found 17 species in 13 families. Plant species are most frequently used by birds is batai wood (Paraserianthes falcataria). Recorded at least 10 species of birds found in the Green Barrier PT. Pusri utilize these plants as a perch, feeding and nesting. The availability of water in the form of an artificial fish ponds at the fish pond 1 (transect 3) to attract water birds such as; Javan Pond-heron (Ardeola spesiosa) and Common Sandpipers (Tringa hypoleeucos) to come looking for food that needs to be managed to maintain its function as a habitat for birds.
